As the world watches the unfolding disaster in Ukraine, there’s more to the story than meets the eye—especially if you look into the legal framework that supports covert operations: Title 50. This U.S. legal provision grants the CIA the authority to conduct covert operations abroad, often in the shadows, where unelected bureaucrats like Victoria Nuland have been pulling the strings. While Nuland herself isn’t officially in the CIA, her close ties to U.S. foreign policy decision-making in Ukraine—and the Title 50-backed operations—make her a key figure in this geopolitical game. And with the 2024 election around the corner, there’s a very real fear among these elites that a Trump victory could unravel everything.
Title 50 of the U.S. Code governs the intelligence community’s covert actions, giving the CIA legal cover to conduct military operations without the public ever knowing. Ground Branch, the CIA’s paramilitary arm, is the muscle behind many of these operations. In Ukraine, Title 50 has provided the framework for covert U.S. support to local forces, meddling in the region’s affairs long before things went public. Adding fuel to the fire is Hunter Biden’s involvement in Ukraine, where he made millions through questionable business dealings while his father, Joe Biden, was vice president. The web of connections between U.S. elites and Ukraine’s political landscape raises plenty of questions, and a second Trump administration might finally start demanding real answers. Nuland and her unelected counterparts know that a Trump victory would bring scrutiny to their activities—both public and covert. After all, Trump has never shied away from promising to “drain the swamp,” and this time, it could be their covert operations and backroom deals on the chopping block.

The real question is: will Americans see the truth before it’s too late, or will the unelected and their covert operations continue to operate in the shadows?
