Viva La France-The Demise Of The Woman’s March-The Left Does What The Left Does, The Unholy Coalition Delaminates
What could be easier than mobilizing the “band” against Hitler? This should be easy-the blueprint exists, the faux outrage is even more real than ever before-or is it? So what is the problem with the opposition?
The Woman’s March does not appear energized enough to show up, notwithstanding the recent Biden declaration about argle, bargle, barg and the Equal Rights Amendment being affirmed as part of the constitution (or some such nonsense…)
Why isn’t that motivating the troops?
This Politico article explains the enthusiasm problem and tells the tale, while inadvertently shedding light into how these self-described “organic” movements are about as genuine as false, well, teeth…
The Woman’s March in the shadow of Trump 45 begat a faux coalition of misfits and miscreants of convenience where their own message was convoluted and diluted to the point of being unrecognizable to the core…
It turns out there is a price to pay with all these odd associations and partnerships and shenanigans that went on in the political arena these past eight years or so, culminating in election 2024. All that “happy warrior,” false enthusiasm, “joy,” bumper stinker policy and basement strategy “hide the candidate” stuff seems to have had an outcome after all.
The more the opposition breaks bread with “Hitler,” the more it exposes blatant propaganda and lies told to prop up-in turn-an unfit candidate, who then gave way to a worse candidate, in a “Machiavellian plot” that now-scant months away from the deed-discloses, whether in hindsight, foresight, or even no sight-how corrupt and bankrupt this farce was and how the vaunted near sacred process for democrats-of choosing a leader-the closest thing they have to it-was a total farce.
Similarly, the anti-Trump movement that found motivation in combining all the “ism” outrage to face down Trump in 2017, delaminated-just like is inevitable for these groups given the history of these movements- through classic purity tests that lead to cannibalism.
Some of the tenets that folded into that tent were untenable. If you embrace gender alarmism, that slippery slope leads to the near immediate absurd issue of supporting dudes in locker rooms with, and competing in school events like sports, real females. And I am already unsuited for the cause by putting the canard of “real” in front of females, as that insinuates there are fakes.
Only in America in the 21st century would you not be considered a dimwit by putting a modifier in front of the word “female.” But that is the world we live in, where my Veterans Administration optometry appointment includes a number of preferences that must be identified in order to ensure a happy outcome, such as the “gender” of the doctor I prefer…
In spite of the seemingly genius way they (Woman’s March) found to rally the outrage-create a bigger tent to contain all the misfit toys-such as equating gender beliefs with the civil rights movement, abortion extremism with health care-all the ANTIFA, Black Liberation Revival Movement, DIE, ESG, CRT, Unconscious Bias, 1619 patriarchy BS nonsense, recently joined by Palestinian/Hamas terrorist hand-wringers and apologists, and the jingoism and sloganism that put all these cause celebres at the forefront of these movements, it is all just too much to take-or to ask-from people.
These unholy alliances from 2017 up to present lacked staying power. It turns out these are disparate causes rooted in different beliefs that don’t resolve to a common cause, as the faux Hitler campaign just reaffirmed.
Sadly for many, this effort basically exemplified the belief of and came to demonstrate and authenticate the view of their common enemy and near anti-Christ-to them at the time, Justice Antonin Scalia-as they embarked on the inevitable path of these movements trod by the core leadership of the French Revolution (circa 1763) in a “reduction to the absurd.“
A reduction that eventually exhausts-and extrudes-all but the true hardcore acolytes of the movement-such as those leading BLRM (Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Melina Abdullah) who were suddenly spotted wining and dining in the shadow of luxury mansions in true bourgeois nose thumbing to the peasants in the movement, to the chagrin of their followers….
This is the same delamination-via movement litmus tests-that has Agent Oranged former moderates out of the center left of the democratic party. I believe the poster child for their efforts and the concomitant result is when Connecticut Senator Joe Lieberman could not win the Democrat primary and had to run as an Independent-after having been the 2000 VP nominee for the presidential run of Al Gore…
The above article is thought provoking in probing the ramifications of such an event and somewhat begged the creation of the democrat scheme that resulted from such inconvenient truths and begat Ranked-Choice Voting (RCV….)
That is not to say only one RCV scheme emerged from what often presents a Hobson’s choice for voters. My personal favorite form of RCV sleight of hand that reminds of the subway cup and pea scheme is when there are a handful of candidates on the ballot that include standard fare R’s, D’s and some variant of independent, libertarians, socialist, communist, satanists, etc.
The RCV methodology often includes provisions that require you to rank all candidates regardless of whether you would support them or not. If you don’t, your ballot can be discarded: talk about being dis-enfranchised. I thought we had to count all ballots?
The choice of opting out of the slippery slope where election officials force you to support-by ranking-a satanist, will result in your ballot not being counted in the election.
All of the above is not some malady limited to the dems or the left, or elections in 21st century America. Consider how the moderate left or right center wing of the republican party somewhat revolted against what they viewed as extreme views about the conservative based Tea Party movement that disrupted the clubhouse, chummy environment ongoing in the swamp.
Where not too long ago somebody like John Boehner felt comfortable passing out tobacco lobbyist checks on the house floor that were issued during a key vote on tobacco legislation.
Where later John McCain referred to the Tea Party as “wackoo Birds” and other RINOs dismissed them as not serious people who they believed failed to realize they had to govern-in the DC swamp. By the rules-where “fighting the good fight” over issues, legislation, “principles” was increasingly being abandoned when legislation was viewed as a “lost cause.”
Perhaps best characterized by Ted Cruz’ filibuster where he read Dr Seuss on the senate floor against the Unaffordable Care Act. Do our representatives only take up causes they know they can win? Are there no principled positions anymore-think Laken Riley….
The big question is-what now? Those who lived it think about socialist/leftist interruptess after the Carter presidency that was only disrupted-not by Clinton-although that was the result-but by Ross Perot and the failure of the Bush campaign to explain to republicans and conservatives alike how a vote for Perot elects Clinton.
It was just as certain then-before a single vote was cast-as it is now that we know the results….Which already begs the question about 2028 and the mystery of what will arise from the ashes of these movements….
History tells us that forces that emerge from the swamp, often recede back into the swamp, but never truly go away. Nothing motivates the swamp quite like being the opposition party…
