As January 20th approached I pondered what will Democrats do? How will they express their hatred toward Trump 47 and Trump voters? They have been uncharacteristically peaceful since the election. That makes me nervous. Do they know something the rest of us don’t? Have they hired an experienced sniper to take out President-Elect Trump, so there is no need to riot? Trump’s inauguration came and went with no riots. Yes, there were delusional Leftists of one stripe or another marching in the streets in various Blue Cities, but I heard of no riots.
As the years turned over, and the 1990s became the 2000s, residents in Portland, Oregon and its suburbs grew ever more accustomed to protests, riots and violence by Democrats, Liberals, Progressives, virtually all types of Leftists with grievances, some of which they could not even articulate. To the average observer, it was just violence for violence sake, the goal was to express hatred toward others and destroy what others had built. Black Lives Matter and Antifa riots were common occurrences beginning in 2014; however, as long as residents stayed away from downtown Portland at night and on weekends, there was little need to fear for one’s safety.
A DECADE OF DEMOCRAT RIOTING
I don’t recall exactly when middle class people with jobs, homes and something to lose joined the losers, drug addicts and ne’er-do-wells throwing bricks at police, breaking windows, screaming at the top of their lungs about how oppressed they were, etc. This change probably occurred sometime between when businessman Donald J. Trump announced his candidacy (June 2015) and his win on November 8, 2016. Us living in the (relatively) safe suburbs around Portland barely noticed. We had long since learned not to display GOP bumper stickers on our cars nor GOP yard signs in our yards, so we thought we were safe.
All that changed November 9, 2016. Violence erupted like a volcano the day after the political novice beat the long time politician & grifter. Even Trump voters were shocked. We were told that Trump had no chance of beating Clinton. My husband and I believed it. The morning of the election, my sister, who lived in Portland (she is a long time, devoted fan of Hillary Clinton), called me to say “Hillary will win. Will you be OK with that?” I answered “no.” That was the last time she spoke to me. Her hatred for Trump was so deep that she knitted dozens of pink vagina hats and flew to DC to join the “Women’s March” riot January 21, 2017.
Democrat mobs rioted every weekend and virtually every night in downtown Portland between Trump’s 2016 win and the following February. Election deniers all. I was acquainted with several women attorneys who bragged about joining the hate-spewed vandalism. The Oregon State Bar hated every GOP president, but they went apoplectic when Donald J. Trump beat their darling, Hillary Clinton. Thus, they did not discipline the two attorneys who were arrested for vandalizing Portland’s US Courthouse. Had an attorney rioted against a Democrat president, the Bar would have disbarred him/her.
2024: WHERE ARE THE DERANGED RIOTERS?
Several weeks before November 5, 2024, the Democrats who run Portland, Seattle and Washington DC prepared for rioting which they were sure would come if Trump/Vance beat Harris/Walz. They readied the national guard and various other law enforcement personnel, put up barricades and held meetings to discuss their preparations. Indeed, the friends and neighbors we left behind in our Portland burb in 2020 (we call ourselves “riot refugees”) were holding their breaths, expecting even worst violence with this Trump win.
What a let down for Democrat politicians and bureaucrats! They love domestic terrorism that pushes their hatred for Trump. Their failure to express their anger by hurting people and destroying property makes me nervous. What are their plans? Do they know something the rest of us don’t? Did they hire a real sniper to take out President-Elect Trump, so there was no need to riot? Now, it is too late. An assassinated Trump would elevate VP Vance into the Oval Office.
DC SWAMP’S SCRIPT FELL FLAT
To create drama and to promote a false narrative similar to J6, the US Capitol Police conducted a “mass casualty” exercise the week before the election. Ha! It was a publicity stunt intended to bolster fears of MAGA trouble. This is the same law enforcement agency which allowed Lt. Michael Byrd to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt at near-point blank range on January 6, 2021 as she was standing between two police officers. Capitol Police was so proud of this murder that they quickly promoted Byrd. They were pretending the violence would come from The Right, should Trump lose. In reality, they expected a Trump win to bring out the crazies in Black Bloc.
Virtually every protest/riot in Washington DC over the last 50 years has been run by and funded by Democrats. All recent protests & riots were Democrat-involved political violence: 2017 Trump inaugural riots, 2018 Kavanaugh protests and 2020 BLM/antifa riots, to name just the biggest. Capitol Police were desperate to continue the false narrative. In fact, The Right has long had a history of peacefulness.
