I write these articles to sound the warning to our national security leaders. We are in the midst of a major war, taking place both domestically and globally. It is a Cognitive War for which our leaders remain unaware, unprepared, and unarmed. I hope you will read and pass this onto others, members of Congress, or members of our national security apparatus and this Administration. My warning remains unanswered!

You don’t need a physical training camp. You need Wi-Fi and a keyboard. Congratulations — you now have access to what might be called the Lone Wolf Factory, where the raw materials are grievance, identity crisis, and algorithmic amplification.

Every time the United States gets involved in a foreign conflict, the opening act is usually impressive. Precision strikes, shock-and-awe, special operations raids, satellites, drones, cyber, carrier groups—the whole high-tech orchestra. When it comes to breaking things, the U.S. military is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world. We are in a war in which our enemies use the veil of religion to seize power. The other, to use the veil of religion to hide insidious efforts to advance tyranny. The genius (and danger) in using religion, in this perpetual cognitive war, is its subtlety. There are no tanks in the streets. Rather, memes, sermons, rhetoric, and false narratives and manufactured victims are employed using our cognitive biases (e.g., emotion, moral outrage) that erode shared reality over time.
A high school & middle school mob, sent out into the streets by their teachers and school administrators, recently beat up a mother walking her dog who merely asked “what is going on?” Police stood by and watched.
Since its founding in 1829, the Democrat Party has fought against every bill, every program, every idea to improve life for former slaves. Indeed, Democrats have a long history of discrimination against all “non-white” people. The Democrat Party founded the Ku Klux Klan, passed & enforced Jim Crow laws.
Future wars won’t thunder across borders on tanks or scream overhead in fighter jets. That’s old-fashioned, noisy, and—worst of all—obvious. The next wars will arrive quietly, wearing lab coats, carrying clipboards, and insisting it’s “just a naturally occurring disruption.” No explosions. No declarations. Just empty shelves, euthanized livestock, and a government spokesperson calmly reminding you that there is no evidence of foul play at this time.
