Trump has the Democrats on the run…literally. And it’s even more brutal than during his first time at bat. Previously, his control of the news cycle was loosely based on a weekly rhythm. It seemed like every Sunday morning, he would decide what might stir up the Democrats and their sycophantic press for the upcoming week. He would then tweet out some outrage, and next thing you know, the fight’s on.
This time around, Trump and his team have upped their game. It’s not a weekly cycle anymore. Some days, it seems like hourly. And the media, they don’t like it….Not. One. Bit.

President Donald Trump is flooding the zone with swift action that is overwhelming the establishment media, which appears unable, ill-equipped, or too lazy to report the flurry of activity.
Opinionists at major news outlets have begun whining about their newsrooms’ inability to keep up with the increased flow of Trump’s executive orders, newsworthy comments, and changes within federal agencies.
Of course the Trump Team is all too ready to count coup on their nemesis.
“There is so much winning out of the Trump White House that the mainstream legacy media can’t keep up with it,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said Monday.

Trump is indeed the master at this. I can just imagine him upstairs in The Residence telling the lovely Miss Melania, “Hold my Big Mac and watch this.” He uses his rapid fire posts from Truth Social along with his dynamo of a Press Secretary, to stay ahead of his detractors. His fast pace keeps him continually inside the Democrat decision cycle.
Giving him a boost, are two things that are radically different this time around. First of all, the Republican Party is far less wishy washy in its support for him. Setting aside the usual suspects, McConnell, Collins and Murkowsky the Republican Senate is far more vocal in support of his legislative agenda and most important, has to date, been proven willing and able to brute force his cabinet nominations through the confirmation process when necessary.
The other thing that has changed, is his own level of preparation for the job at hand. Last time around, like almost all first-time Presidents elect, Trump was a bit bewildered. I might go so far as to say that deep down inside, he never thought he would win and thus was unprepared for the job at hand.
He certainly could not have been ready for the rabid opposition not only from the Democrats, but also from many, far too many in his own party. Despite all of that, he did manage to have some stellar successes. Were it not for the Covid pandemic, two groundless impeachments and a stolen election, Trump would have waltzed Matilda right back into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, credited with a roaring economy and peace throughout the World.
Instead, something else happened. A cascading series of calamities; Covid, criminal Democrats and cowardly Republicans combined to steal a Presidential election and install a senile senior citizen to the highest office in the land. This is where Donald John Trump was able to make some of Mike’s Hard Lemonade™ out of the lemons handed to him. Most Presidents when elected to a second term try to put to good use the hard lessons of their first. However, they have to do that and govern at the same time, sort of like overhauling an airplane while it’s flying.
This time, Trump not only had the opportunity to reflect on his previous administration, the good the bad and the ugly, but he’s had 4 years to plan. He’s had 48 long months, 1,461 days (including Leap Day) to watch Joe Biden tear the country apart and make his own plans to set the ship aright, and do so in the first 100 days of his new lease on life. Heretofore, the Democrat-Media Cabal was like a clowder of cats and Trump had the laser pointer. This time around, the effect is more far reaching and to be frank, a whole lot more entertaining.
Today with one hand, Trump is busily running the Democrat Officials and their enablers from the 4th estate, here and there chasing the red dot, with his other hand, he’s marching the Republican Senatorial caucus (with those 3 exceptions) in lockstep, towards getting his cabinet picks through the advise and consent gauntlet. Every one of them that makes it through, then become another laser pointer-wielding commando. Those commandos help Trump drive the left crazy and divert their attention such that they cannot form a coherent means to resist. The only tools the Democrats have left, are the de rigueur injunctions from the judiciary, all of which will eventually be overturned. All the while, the Trump policy agenda advances on all front, an unstoppable juggernaut.
As I noted at the beginning of this screed, even the press is complaining at Trump’s pace. They can’t keep up. Sadly, for them, this situation is going to get worse. Every week that passes, the Trump team becomes more firmly ensconced in their battle positions. As their numbers continue to increase, second and third level positions get confirmed. That in turn produces more members of the Trump team wielding policy laser pointers. The most significant effect of this will be on Trump “outrageous” pronouncements and ideas.
With a solid team of policy proponents, what the press first has you believing is some crazy, childish or outright wrong, will end up being seen as not only reasonable, but a necessary advance in United States public policy. Gulf of America, the Resort Territory of Gaza or Greenland anyone? Or perhaps a little more mundane, a balanced Federal Budget, no longer bloated with fraud, waste and abuse. Most important of all from my own personal perspective, no more American families having to attend a 2:00AM Ramp Ceremony at Dover Air Force Base, to meet a loved one returning home draped in our Nation’s Flag.
