Insights On The True Reformation Effort Needed In America’s Intelligence Services (with updated Hunter Biden Point Paper reference.)
I don’t normally jump out/get ahead on stories like this but you will not be reading this anytime soon from the LSMBTGA unless we go into a spin-cycle to undermine the narrative.
But Sam Faddis is top-notch and would not be leaning forward on a whim or fanciful notion, conspiracy theory-although lord knows we could use more as our list is depleted by facts.
Faddis reported this morning about the emerging accusations made by Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner-President Trump’s chief Hamas and Israeli peace negotiators-on “61 Minutes” that they have been consistently given bad “juju” by the State Department (State)/Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) throughout their ongoing negotiations.
If true this confirms why the needed Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Intelligence Community (IC) reforms need to be (1) fast tracked (2) taken on as priority (3) go deep and well beyond clearing the weeds in the form of personnel hires for non-mission related social issues-Diversity, Inclusion Equity (DIE,) Unconscious Bias, environmental, social and governance (ESG,) letter people hires, quotas of every size, shape and color (4) with a renewed mission emphasis on stealing secrets secretly (5) and a focus on America’s strategic intelligence requirements.
I made the case for this in a series of articles earlier this year but also provided the reason I didn’t think the necessary reforms were going to happen. Whenever an organization-a leader-gets into a frenetic cycle of activity on top of the burdens of making the trains run in an organization, it is not only the capability of the leader that is tested, but also the organization.
If an organization has been built off of decades of hiring by people-of people-who have a somewhat loose interpretation of their duties and also a somewhat selective reverence for their oath of office, well that capability that is supposed to be built for the 1000 year storm falls apart at the seams under the pressure of the ten year storm (see my Intelligence Soilage Campaign: Clouseau Without The Humor article series for the discussion about the ramifications of hiring by these leaders.)
The President puts the call out through his National Security Advisor/National Security Council (NSA/NSC) for the best we have at a point in time to support the information gathering process to prepare Negotiation Teams to represent and press for United States objectives. Such a rigorous and critical information transferal process will be led by-in theory the best and brightest we have-subject matter experts (SME) on the central issues-byway of State, the IC-DNI Country/Issue Leads, IC/CIA regional leads, military subject matter experts, sometimes academics, current and former diplomats, etc.: A President has unlimited resources at their disposal to conduct such efforts to prepare our negotiators.
What could be the problem outlined by Witkoff and Kushner? Think back a few scant years when classified document compromise became a “thing” on the national level, there were a number of huge tells on potential rogue “insiders” that were publicly acknowledged but just as swiftly “deep sixed” because it was not on the “critical path” desired by the LSMBTGA that would lead to spanking that bad Orange Man.
Among the classified documents found among President Biden’s classified garage storage-sitting by his trusty Corvette-and at Penn in the offices set up for him and the acknowledgements of the classified material shared with his publisher and co-author that were provided to put together his book, was a somewhat seemingly innocuous point paper on Ukraine that had all the hallmarks of a State-CIA “position paper” that provided talking points of the type typically prepared for US government negotiators conducting statecraft with foreign nations.
It was unclassified-but let’s be accurate, it lacked classification markings-that would ordinarily be visible on documents, the compromise of which will do (the scale goes from could, might, can be expected to, will do) exceptionally grave damage to the United States of America and was otherwise just another piece of paper among scads of questionable material in places within the Biden “orbit.”
I observed in a previous piece that the ideal situation for our US negotiators-Team USA–Our Team– is to have subject matter expert (SME) grasp of the state of affairs-the facts-and we’re talking the actual facts, not the desired or aspirational state like the optimistic view of the Afghanistan status of LGBTQMOUSE progress in society. Separate from our strategic objective, including points of compromise-and the limits of such compromise, non-negotiable points, conditions, assumptions, must have, can’t have, won’t do’s, monetary issues, etc.
It is desirable to have the companion documentation of your adversary-the opposite negotiation team-think back to the big scandal when the US (Obama) was caught red handed spying on buddy “Angela Merkel” from Germany-now you can think what you want to about the charges and denials, but President Obama was not trying to find out what style of Schnitzel was on the menu that day to check the wine choice.
An ideal situation is where our IC-the CIA and State (winky, winky,) or Country Team led by the DNI-have the “detes,” some type of advanced knowledge of the other team’s playbook in terms of their bottom-line objectives. Which insinuates the worst situation: where the other team has ours.
Under gradations of worse is when our team has a “Peter Pan” or “Pollyana” set of talking points that are aspirational and not factual. Which may seem humorous but think back to when we-Team America-State-got our arses handed to them in Alaska a few years ago (Blinken and Sullivan.)
How would you like to be in a position to negotiate with Putin-or any person in business or a position of power-and not have faith in the information-from the people who provided it to conduct such affairs?
Think of that concept: not having faith that the SMEs on our side have a vested interest in-that they adopted-accepted-the US positions that they are supposed to use as the basis for insights about the other side and therefore have ulterior motives?
It’s kind of like the blind minefield detector situation…
Which was somewhat of a long way to sneak up on the point that what was found in Hunter Biden’s and President Biden’s papers was what from all appearances was the US negotiation paper that was prepared for discussion with Ukraine officials, complete with our bottom-line negotiating position on key aspects.
The paper was unclassified, unsecured, written sentence, chapter and verse in the near mandatory style of the bullet-point, point paper that is often compiled from the Presidential Daily Briefing book or “out of the book” documentation for the ~250 or so government officials authorized to receive such material.
The accusations by Witkoff and Kushner are serious and can be judged by the fact that they felt comfortable-and strongly enough about it-to talk to “61 Minutes” about the matter.
I previously swore off submitting myself to the torture of watching “61 Minutes” but will take time later today to take that bullet.
This is a heads up on this issue: stay tuned.
PS: I’m looking for my copy of the Hunter Biden exhibit, Ukraine strategic point paper that I referenced in a previous article.
PPS: Here it is: The indicting Hunter Biden point paper on Ukraine I referenced above that was published by the Gateway Pundit in an article largely ignored by everybody because, “Trump.”

Both State and the CIA have a long tradition of recruiting from Ivy League colleges, and both have a preference for applicants with ‘foreign experience,’ which has normally meant students whose parents were wealthy enough to have sent them to Europe for a year. Thus they get filled with just the people you expect: insulated liberals who see the world the same way their insulated-from-the-world professors did.
