GIVING THANKS

We are most thankful the shutdown

Finally went through the House,

Followed with Donnie’s non-AutoPen;

Shumer sure was a louse.

The Republicans showed power

So that the ship did not sink;

Now we move on,

After the Democrats did blink.

But that’s not all The Don secured;

An enema world despots did need

The point of insertion being Iran,

He bombed them with great speed

Oh yeah, about the Greenland take-over;

They are very thankful for the attention,

Another Trump success we now mention

As Russia and China were thinking invasion,

But thanks to Trump’s persuasion

Denmark changed its traditions

By sending billions in munitions

There are no ill effects from tariffs,

Unless you’re buying a Land Rover,

As Yoggi said, it ain’t over till it’s over.

Though capitulating to a sex urge

Usually yields instant gratification,

Diddy, Clinton, Andrew and Trump

All learned it leads to humiliation.

Most of all we are thankful for

The integrity of our present and past

Military, firefighters and police

Whose protections last and last.
