Comrade Vladimir Lenin was fond of his useful idiots – people willing to sacrifice their wellbeing in service to the most outrageous claims of the Communist party. The commies are masters in the use of fools to advance the notion that subjugation is preferable to personal freedom. That explains the Democrat party’s affinity for Congressman Eric Swalwell (D-Peoples Republic of California).
The Chinese communists found Eric useful. He allegedly fell for the Fang-Fang bait in an espionage honeytrap. While allegedly tending to the Congressman’s … ahem … carnal needs, Fang was also allowed to make key staffing decisions for Swalwell. That all came to an end when the FBI gave Eric a “defensive briefing” – which is bureaucratese for a “you freaking idiot” dressing down.
Now Fang is back in China, getting some well-deserved down-time – or is it up-time when taking a vacation from earning a living on her back.
Just like that, the useful idiot lost his usefulness as an intelligence insider, when Speaker McCarthy dumped Congressman Swalwell from the House Intelligence Committee for his indiscretion. Apparently an “idiot” on an “intelligence” committee, isn’t a good look, even for Congress. Who knew?
The American communists (i.e. Democrats) found Eric useful too. He could always be counted on to go on the propaganda networks MSM and spout the most outrageous commie talking points with a straight face – probably because he believed them himself.
However, Swalwell became somewhat less useful in that capacity during an appearance on Chris Matthew’s Hard Ball on MSNBC. He was there to pitch the seriousness of Donald Trump’s transgressions and make the case for impeachment. But his appearance became known as Fartgate, when the Congressman loudly “passed wind” on national television. After Fartgate, he couldn’t talk about impeachment on TV without eliciting howling laughter, and the idiot became somewhat less useful as a party spokesperson.
But California communists still felt that Eric Swalwell had something to offer. If the voters weren’t offended by trains to nowhere, streets paved in feces, and illegal aliens on welfare; perhaps they wouldn’t find public flatulence and boning spies too terribly off-putting. The Dems decided that Eric Swalwell would be a swell candidate to replace Governor “HairGel” as the next chief executive of California.
But Cali’s jungle primary system isn’t working as intended this year. It’s supposed to allow only Democrats on the general ballot. But with too many Dems running for office, it might actually limit Novembers ballot to … gasp … fascists Republicans.
That cannot be allowed to happen. The Dems need to thin out their list of candidates, to consolidate leftist votes, pushing the Republicans off the ballot, and thus saving California’s democracy from the scourge of self-governance. So, the Dems went looking for the least useful of their useful idiots to sacrifice, and concluded it was Eric Swalwell.
We are now witnessing the frankenization of Eric Swalwell in real-time. That’s a process where the Dems jettison a party loyalist because he’s become more useful as a sacrifice than as an operative. The Dem party propaganda ministry is reporting that multiple women are accusing the Congressman of sexual misconduct – going back years. “San Fran Nan” and “Temu Obama” are both claiming that such moral turpitude has no place in American politics (I know, stop laughing). Both are insisting that Swalwell drop out of the Cali gubernatorial race.
How do we know that their demand is craven political calculation rather than an epiphany of moral clarity? Because they’re not asking him to resign from Congress – just drop out of a race in which the party finds itself with too many candidates to win. How convenient.
I find it hysterical that an avowed collectivist such as Eric Swalwell, didn’t understand how collectivism works. Perhaps that’s another illustration of his limited mental acuity. Collectivism places the needs of the many above the rights of any individual. When the many (in this case the Dems) need a sacrifice, the individual is to take it with a smile – even if that individual is a Congressman from California with too much fiber in his diet.
