You Can Only Get A Pass One Or Two Times Before The Payback Express Comes A Calling
The recent spate of election results are very telling on both sides of the aisle. Candidates that don’t embrace the party line have been cast aside like so much old news. That statement neither equally applies to both major parties nor means the same thing.
From any viewpoint one cares to take the democrat party is a raging dumpster fire of perhaps nuclear level heat that is nearly all consuming. The recent release of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) 2024 Autopsy Report comes with a big red disclaimer on each page: “This document reflects the views of the author, not the DNC,” the disclaimer said. “The DNC was not provided with the underlying sourcing, interviews, or supporting data for many of the assertions contained herein and therefore cannot independently verify the claims presented.”
In the military we typically do a review of all manner of things, typically called After Action Reports (AAR), Lessons Learned, three or Five ups & Five Downs, postmortems, etc. What distinguishes or differentiates these processes from the DNC effort is honesty, comprehensiveness, subject matter expert involvement and utility. Military AARs often inform unit Standing Operating Procedures, concepts of operations, and War plans.
I’ve never heard of or been a part of an effort where such an undertaking was dismissed out of hand by the leadership who undertook the effort. Leaders would consider such an effort a farce and a waste of time if important, pertinent issues were omitted because of politics or for any reason.
There are a few fairly large, blinding flash of the obvious (BFO) issues missing from the report. Like any mention of Gaza, Hamas, Israel. Like Harris never receiving a single vote before being anointed to be the Democrat Presidential candidate to replace Biden after Lesko had received some 14 million votes, in one of the most undemocratic processes in political history since the process used “king makers” in back, smoke filled rooms that brought us such low lights as Lyndon Baines Johnson.
The report highlighted Harris’ failure to connect with men/males but failed to assess the wisdom or effectiveness of deciding to place Jazz Hand, gaylord martinet Governor Tim Walz front and center as somewhat of the leading goofball reaching out to men. A retired Army guy credibly accused of stolen valor over his retired rank, who cut and run and retired as a senior leader in his unit to get out of a deployment with his unit to Iraq, China associated, former unknown congressman who failed to distinguish himself during an abysmal campaign. A man caught on film struggling to load his shotgun in brand spanking new hunting garb in an effort to relate to hunters that came off like a “be vary quiet, I’m hunting rabbit” Elmer Fudd impersonation that was bang’n.
The one thing the report does make clear is that Harris did not lack for dollars, raising and spending over a billion dollars from ~July-November 2024 in one of the most feckless and unfocused campaigns in modern history. Often advertising and paying for celebrities at her events-the most famous being Beyonce-who showed up and spoke for Harris but did not perform. Much of the crowd departed when Beyonce did.
There is more, but the bottom-line result of the report is an unsatisfactory effort that does not bode well for the democrat party going forward. Mainly because there are blocks to be checked on the democrat side that fundamentally preclude you from getting any republican support and often independents as well.
You must be a Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) inflicted, abortion on demand (women’s health care) zealot, at least semi-if not full-fledged Hamas and Palestinian supporter who comes across as an antisemite Israel and Jew hater, a letter person advocate of the LQBTQMOUSE2Spirit variety-which means supporting males in female sports and the body mutilation of perfectly healthy children that are not of consensual age for anything-while often hiding it from parents, an anti-gun and pro-censorship zealot, pro-confiscatory tax on the wealthy (which means anyone deemed wealthy-except for politicians like Bernie Sanders, Nanny Peloozi, etc.,) open border/illegal immigrant sympathizer, DHS/ICE hater, stolen land bizarro world advocate who hates Christopher Columbus, environmental lunatic who believes the world is going to end in 12 10 8 6 4 years unless we put wind farms and solar everywhere, eliminate petroleum products and natural gas and make HVAC systems improve from 96% efficiency to 97% or greater at a cost that will bankrupt the average citizen, a card carrying socialist who does not know what a woman is, who believes in myriad genders, and is willing to eat lab grown meat and bugs and take a vaccine shot that does not stop illnesses’ every time the government says to jump.
Why are these democrat candidates not doing better with voters, particularly those in rural areas????
The only thing keeping the above maniac manor class in the game is feckless republicans. With control of government-the presidency, house and senate-and a majority in the supreme court-that non-political body of Justice Robert’s delusion-you would think there would be smooth sailing on the republican side: you would be wrong.
The republicans-love ‘em, hate ‘em-have an irascible lemming-like tendency to find the cliff edge on the clearest of full moon lit nights. Despite the momentum built in the House with passage of the SAVE Act and urging by the president, the dirty little secret emerged that leader Thune has been unable to rally the troops and there aren’t enough republican votes to even get the process started in the Senate, never mind getting to 60 votes.
In addition to getting some of these meatballs out of the way-like Cassidy, Cornyn, Tillis and McConnel, we do well to remember the Senate is where the Unaffordable Care Act went to live with RINO John McCain casting the deciding vote. Which can be viewed as a direct causality for fraud, waste and abuse in the program that has been averaging billions of dollars a year for a decade.
And more recently where members were incensed about supporting alternatives to RINO Senators, with the final straw being the approval of a “weaponization fund” for those aggrieved by the government in recent years.
The messaging is weak in these senators. Even with knowledge aforethought, the republicans seem to get on their back foot out of instinct and stupidity as a first reaction. Look at the recent Trump effort to establish a remedy-justice-for hundreds of people-but particularly republicans-who faced malicious lawfare actions by our government-like oh dark 30 raids leaked to CNN for coverage for minor charges where they were already cooperating with authorities, deplatforming and debanking as a result of the Southern Poverty Law Center and previous administration censorship efforts, the government boot on the neck of firearms businesses that were lawfared into bankruptcy, anti-abortion activists who were targeted by FACE charges and jailed, etc.
The list is long, the injustice is real and when you consider what was done to many J-6 defendants, the government needs to fess up and heal some of these folks who faced the total suspension of their rights-in America-and were harmed for no good reason. And-yes-you can make the case that people who attacked the Capital Police and security forces should not be given restitution of any type.
But when you watch the videos-and I think of my wife’s passion for Trump-I might have been in that crowd were we still in Virginia. And I would have been one of the folks attacking police officers at the fence line who were illegally and against SOP firing riot munitions point blank into the heads, face and bodies of people who were doing nothing wrong but peacefully gathering to make a statement about the election. And-for those who trend to obtuse-I am specifically talking about the crowd that gathered at the base of the capital that was nearly 100% peaceful: until fired upon by security.
That was 100% wrong and egregious and the government should pay those who were injured for that malfeasance.
It is righteous for the government to be held accountable for the illegal actions they undertook, including fraudulent FISA actions, ridiculous sentences on the majority of the J-6 defendants, the likely illegal raids for relatively minor accusations, leaking of testimony and tax returns on folks who were merely witnesses, the railroading of folks like Carter Paige and Papadopoulos, etc.
All of it seems like a small matter to attend to-ensuring that those who were found guilty of attacks on police officers-don’t get restitution. But much like any of these efforts-under Obama, or years ago with the Vietnam reparations effort, claims are submitted, adjudicated according to a process, and a judgment is made.
Let the democrats make that argument. Given how ludicrous their J-6 insurrection theater was-they have little to no leg to stand on when it comes to this debate.
But here come the republicans-apparently led by leader Thune-who are “outraged” that some of their RINO colleagues are getting their just rewards via the election process-and the apparent notion of a reimbursement fund for people who were injured via lawfare efforts.
Opting for a tantrum-failure on the SAVE Act-and adjourning without adjourning until June in some form of petulant fit over “stuff.”
Keep in mind it is leader Thune who reached some type of neutering agreement with the democrats to keep the Senate in faux session to avoid providing President Trump with the possibility of doing Recess Appointments in order to get caught up with things like Judges and some appointments where there has been a whiff of republican slow kid stuff and the stench of democrat shenanigans.
Does anyone believe that the democrats would do the same for republicans if there was a democrat president?
No president has been saddled with a more feckless congress-while his party had the majority-than President Trump. Twice now, if counting at home.
The Way Back Machine reveals that Senator Burr-before he faced insider trading charges that resulted in his departure from the Senate-was a democrat fav quote machine when it came to the ridiculous Russia, Russia, Russia, Pee Pee Hoax collusion nonsense. Note the author of this piece, Dan Bongino’s oft derided puppet of the deep state swamp leaker’s club fusion Ken Delanian. Burr was apparently the only member of congress besides Adam Shifts who found Trump’s Russia Collusion evidence that was “hiding in plain sight”: which has never been followed up on by either dipsnap with any evidence since they made the allegations.
From the article: “The issue of collusion is still open,” the committee’s Republican chairman, Richard Burr of North Carolina, told a room full of reporters in the Capitol.
In a noteworthy aside, Burr also suggested that Senate investigators had corroborated some parts of a dossier written by a former British intelligence agent that makes damaging allegations against President Donald Trump and his campaign. Burr did not say which aspects of the dossier the committee may have verified or how much.
He didn’t say it or show it then and nobody has provided any evidence since. Republicans in the Senate were stupid enough to pick up and provide assistance to the grift by Obama, Clinton Clapper, Brennan and Comey and milk it to get a Special Counsel assigned who could help with the democrat coverup of the Russia Collusion Hoax.
Imbecils! Of course, the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence chaired by Burr had a security chief who was a real keeper. A dullard who had an affair with a reporter from the Daily Beast, was leaking classified information to the press, was found guilty and given a rabbits paw slap on the wrist…It was McCain’s Chief of Staff at the time who leaked the Steele Dossier that was later published by-surprise-the Daily Beast!
With a team like this helping out it is a wonder that the Trump Administration has done some of the remarkable stuff that it has, struggling with many items across the board, while kicking big A Arse on major areas of importance.
I’ve gone long here-but it wasn’t that long ago-16 years-that the Tea Party helped sweep the republicans into power and soon discovered that congress RINO republicans would rather cede power to the democrats than to govern boldly and audaciously to press the agenda that voter’s elected them to enact.
Not much has changed over the years and it appears we are in another cycle of republican folly and holding their breath to outwait what they foresee as the problem: President Donald Trump.
What am I missing???
