The anti-2nd Amendment left insists that all assault weapons be banned from private use. Their logic is that as instruments of war, their only valid use is in the hands of government employees to surrender to Afghan savages, or suppress civil resistance (per Joe Biden).
Weapons enthusiasts counter that “assault weapon” is a “made up” term of art, which has no operational definition. Poppycock. The anti-Bill of Rights left has a very clear definition: An assault weapon is any instrument which looks scary enough to be featured in a Call of Duty video game – which is about all they know about military weaponry.
Naturally the commies aren’t proposing the use of “scary” in their definition. They’re not falling for that one, because what’s “scary” to one is a “symbol of freedom” to another. Hence, they’ve gotten a bit more pragmatic in codifying what looks too militaristic for use in polite (i.e. compliant) society.
According to them, an assault weapon may be identified by the following:
- The weapon will have a plastic stock, preferably in black or olive green. Manufacturers intentionally use this coloring to designate weapons suitable for inflicting death on a military scale.
- The weapon will include attributes making it adaptable to various mission requirements – missions other than shooting trap or plinking cans.
- The weapon will incorporate design features which facilitate rapid engagement and reengagement. This rapid application feature is what makes the weapon more suitable for school attacks than filling a freezer with venison.
In support of the gun nuts’ enthusiasts’ arguments, even though the commies have codified a very specific definition of “scary,” some of them are having difficulty applying it.
World renowned weapons expert, Jasmine Crockett, recently went on X to insist that the knife used by Karmelo Anthony to murder Austin Metcalf, was little more than a harmless Swiss Army multi-tool. Her implication was that Karmelo was carrying a simple utility device, not an instrument of death.
Clearly her analysis had skipped over one salient point: her supposed “multi-tool” had already been used to end another person’s life. Karmelo Anthony drove what Crockett called harmless, through another boy’s sternum and into his heart.
I’d also like to point out that Congresswoman Crocket is ignoring her own party’s classification of dangerous military weaponry. Karmelo’s murder weapon was an Ozark Model 5335 knife. Here are a few observations about the weapon:
- It has a military green knurled handle with a black anodized serrated blade. Everything about this weapon screams “made for killing” not for “whittling on the front porch.”
- The knife includes tactical accessories to facilitate mission variability: a flashlight for night operations, a glass breaker for tactical ingress, a fire starter for SERE (survival, evasion, resistance, and escapee) operations, and a belt clip for IWB (inside waist band) concealment.
- The weapon even includes features for one-handed rapid deployment – not something needed to dress out a deer.
Clearly when Karmelo Anthony headed down to the local track meet, he wasn’t going hunting – at least not in the traditional sense. He chose his weapon accordingly. It was not a harmless multi-tool as Crockett insists. By every definition the commies insist we accept, it was a lethal assault weapon, designed to end human life.
Or was Crockett proposing an amendment to the left’s assault weapon definition? Does an instrument of death become an instrument of social justice when in the hands of the oppressed rather than the privileged?
