The Republican part of the bi-partisan housing bill passed (Senate: 85-5, House: 358-32) is typically Republican. Clueless. Short-sighted. Un-principled. Needless spending the Nation into bankruptcy. Un-Constitutional. Foolish beyond contempt. Enabling the Democrat road to Socialism.
And, as always, Republicans promote a plate of poison as if groveling for a few edible crumbs from Democrat Socialists is a victory.
The 5 Senate and 32 Congressional Rs who voted “No” are more and better than Republican. Far better than the “campaign Conservatives” who are Establishment Republicans. They’re Abolitionist Republicans or Restoration Republicans who are needed to save our Republic.
All the Republicans who voted for Elizabeth Pocahantas Warren’s Housing Bill must be replaced by Republicans who will Abolish the Welfare State and Restore the Constitution.
The Federal Government has no business doing anything about Housing. Any and all government involvement in housing is a plenary power of the States. See: U.S. Constitution.
Every particular in the new law sets a precedent for more Federal Government intervention. Over time, bad precedents invite worse interventions and awful outcomes.
Every dollar spent in the extraneous law adds to the National debt to bankrupt America eventually. Every dollar of extra spending increases the debt which drives inflation which makes housing less affordable.
Every intervention into the housing market distorts the free market which creates specific winners and losers. The Federal Government picks winners and losers, adds uncertainty for planning
The $200m @ year grant program is a jobs program for government workers to change local zoning and land use to federal diktats.
Reportedly, the Section 901 (“Homes Are for People, not Corporations”) prohibition on corporations from owning big housing developments just halted projects to build 10k homes. Lower supply means less affordability. This is a dangerous precedent to restrict specific buyers and investors in the housing market.
What is promoted as “best practices” by clueless Republicans may be imposed Democrat Socialists in the future as rent controls, restrictions on evictions, DEI requirements for funding, or federal dominion over local zoning authority – over self-rule itself.
Making it easier for non-profits or cooperatives (think Muslim enclaves) to enter the housing market and, especially, to get Federally-backed funds or, potentially, direct funding picks winners (like Muslim NGOs) and losers (you).
If Congress wants to increase the housing stock and make it more affordable – cheaper, then Congress could increase funding for ICE to greatly increase deportations.
Deporting 10m or 20m or 30m illegal aliens, 600k Chinese spy students, and hostile Visa holders will increase the supply of housing which lowers the price of housing. Massive deportation makes the lowest level of housing more affordable first and faster than all other housing stock.
Eliminating the Federal Department of Housing and Urban Development and every associated program will go a long way to improving the quantity and quality of affordable housing.
Ending Federal housing programs pulls down a big pillar of the Welfare State. The Welfare State is the modern day plantation of government slavery.
Abolitionist Republicans are needed to end this form of slavery. Restoration Republicans are needed to get the Federal Government out of the housing market – and help restore the Constitution.
If your Representative or Senator voted No to more Socialism, please reward them with your support.
If your Representative or Senator voted Yes for ground-breaking precedents, expanding Federal Government power, please get active in recruiting and electing an Abolitionist or Restorationist Republican.
America must defund the Federal Welfare State. States are empowered to do as they choose – and abide with the outcome.
