I saw it or heard it somewhere in the ever-popular media we have, probably the radio. I don’t go much past here, because I have gotten fed up with the news and all the bald-faced lying that goes on in that propaganda industry. And it usually only goes for one radio station in Nashville that claims to be mostly conservative, at least all the talk show hosts claim they are, that those stupid senators in DC are considering red flag laws, again(!), and the Republicans, like senator Lindsey Graham is one of them blabbering their mouth about something needing changing. Sorry Lindsey. They used your name. I guess you just had to run that mouth, but you are just so convenient, aren’t you?
Let me be clear about this, senator. It’s not for you to decide to play patti-cake , like you always do, when it comes up to reactionary politics, like you have so many times in the past. Those school shootings that appear to have sparked a cry to “Do Something” doesn’t give the federal government carte blanch to try to pass laws that states are already responsible for. This is a state issue, and no gun law will ever prevent any crime committed by someone, even some demented bastard child who had two rotten parents who refused to raise him right because they could have been too busy committing their own crimes. How the heck is raising the age limit from 18 to 21 on purchases of long guns going to do anything, except keep an 18 year young hunter of wildlife from purchasing his first rifle?
That law is really a ridiculous idea, anyway, since a soldier in our military can be as young as 18, or in some cases in the past younger, and soldiers in the military kill people with long guns. That dog just doesn’t hunt.
How will a red flag law do anything past making everyone into snitches about someone who essentially has something that the snitch is actually jealous because he or she doesn’t have it? That’s all laws like that do. They make people into snitches. Is that your goal? Better not be. If some police knocked on my door and said someone told them that I was about to start a war on the town square, at high noon(I like Gary Cooper, don’t you) and that they were hear to collect my firearms, I wouldn’t be opening the door for their first foot to prop it open. So, if you pass some stupid red flag law, expect it to backfire on you, you stupid senators who play patti-cake in front of cameras and microphones for votes.
The solution to the problem we face is going to be a toughie, but it doesn’t include any more help from those fools from the government who are always present and are here to help. We don’t need their help. We need less help from the federal government, because it is we who should be raising our kids to respect God, learn their ABCs and math and especially history, and leave their stupid little i-phones and laptops alone so they can go out and play and exercise, and not be a bunch of punch drunk morons who only know how to type and use the emoji thingies on their phones.
It’s our culture, stupid! Guess who runs our culture. The same folks who just tried to bring you and I a Ministry of Truth, hosted by that “wicked witch of the left”. I’m sick and tired of fools in DC trying to fix everything, especial when it comes to guns and criminals.
And for those who think some stupid law that would deal with the mental well being of a gun owner, you can’t do that, either, because the guy who bought that gun already lied on a form 4473, and said he was mentally capable of purchasing said firearm. The only thing left for a law like that would be to use in a political way to disarm a political group.
Like that never happened… Oops! Adolph beat those senators to doing that, back in the times of Storm Troopers. Look how that ended
Leave my guns out of it, and while you’re at it, leave DC. Go on a junket, a fact finding mission, and have some riesling or chardonnay at our expense, but leave, and leave my guns out of your equation!
