Sodom and gAmerica

 

      Billy Graham once famously quipped, “If God doesn’t punish America, He’ll have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah”.  It was way back in the early 70’s when he said that.  We’ve come a long way since then, a long way downward.  As a country, our culture is slipping and sliding more and more into the gutter.  Feckless leadership back then seemed helpless in fighting the tide of the 60’s and 70’s cultural and sexual revolution.  Now, even more feckless leaders are participating in and encouraging it.

 

      I remember an episode of Dragnet back in 1967 where the police supervisor is talking about moral decay leading to increased crime.  He cited growing approval of homosexuality as one of those indicators of our moral decline.  Imagine anything close to that in a TV series these days?  Such a show would be cancelled and the actors, producers and everyone involved blacklisted. You can hear him say this at 2:58 of the video.

“What it boils down to is the new morality, doesn’t it?  A whole new sense of values.  The kids see it on television, in magazines, even hear it from the pulpit.  God is dead, drug addiction is mind expanding, promiscuity is glamorous.  Even homosexuality is praiseworthy…”

      Nowadays, the writer of that script would be tortured publicly, forced to recant, and then celebrated in doing the right thing by committing suicide.  My how times have changed.

 

      Fast forward to today.  The Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, makes a guest appearance on the Ru Paul’s Drag Race show in honor of so-called “Pride Month”.  Here is the video of her, if you can stomach it.

      Our culture has been dragged (no pun intended) so far down into the gutter and elected leaders are applauding our descent.  As despicable as many past House Speakers have been, I can’t imagine one of them engaging in this like Nancy.  Yet, she calls herself a good Catholic. 

 

      Other elected leaders are taking note of this degradation and are acting on it.  In Texas, Republican lawmakers are passing legislation to protect children from male drag queens, after another “pride” event in Dallas where grown men who think they are women (whatever that is) paraded around in women’s lingerie in front of tiny children.  The parents of these children had some of their kids actually giving the drag queens dollar bills, like at a strip club.  The event was held at a gay bar.  This is a clear violation of already existing child endangerment laws.  When are we going to start enforcing laws that are already on the books instead of inventing new ones?  And this was in Texas, for goodness sake!

 

      Libs of Tik-Tok has exposed for all to see just how sick many in our society have become.  Teachers, parents, leaders have all exposed themselves for propagandizing kids to their twisted gender confusion ideology on the Tik-Tok social media platform.  Although very public, they thought they were somehow getting away with this indoctrination unnoticed, that is until the founder of Libs of Tik-Tok began publicizing their own videos to a wider audience on Twitter.  There are numerous videos just like the disgusting one below.

      Rather than show any concern for the children involved, liberals and their Democrat party have berated the founder of Libs of Tik-Tok for exposing their insidious behavior endangering those children.  They have used one of their biggest platforms, The Washington Post, to dox the founder and shut her up.  It hasn’t worked.  Libs of Tik-Tok is even more popular.  Their efforts have backfired.

 

      One response to recent school shootings has been to arm teachers. That thought is as scary as the school shooters themselves.  So many teachers these days are gender confusion extremists and propagandists.  I wouldn’t trust them with a cap gun.  We shouldn’t trust them with our children’s education either.

 

      “We” now devote an entire month to “Pride”.  Woke corporations, non-profits, schools and the government are all doing their part to celebrate Pride Month.  You can see the rainbow colors and the various new porn flags flying everywhere, on buildings, billboards, TV commercials, advertising and even in the military, churches and federal properties.  Their symbology is ubiquitous.  They don’t want to be left alone.  Just the opposite.  They want to flaunt it in your face.  They want to be celebrated and you’d better approve of their perverted behavior, or else. 

       

      The Marine Corps has deservedly received some backlash for their outlandish rainbow bullet helmet ad.  The Marines defended their ad per the New York Post,

“Throughout June, the USMC takes #Pride in recognizing and honoring the contributions of our LGBTQ service members.  We remain committed to fostering an environment free from discrimination, and defend the values of treating all equally, with dignity and respect.” the Marines tweeted on their official account.

 

I’m not sure what our military leaders think they are accomplishing by promoting promiscuity and sexual perversion in the ranks of our armed forces – improved morale, increased lethality?  Their inability to meet minimum recruiting numbers says otherwise.

 

      Others weren’t pleased with the gross misuse of defense funds,

The tweet quickly prompted thousands of responses, with Erick Aguilar, a Republican congressional candidate in Florida, sarcastically asking, “Ummmm….. Is this satire?”

Jason Buttrill, whose profile says he’s a former Marine and Defense Department analyst, wrote, “F–k out of here with this. We don’t take political sides, and we don’t engage in social commentary. We kill the enemy… period.”

    

     What is Pride Month anyway?  If you’re not sure, you should read this shocking article by one of my favorite writers, Andrea Widburg, at the American Thinker website, one of my favorite websites, besides AFNN, of course.  Her article is entitled, “In honor of Pride month, let’s get real”.  If her column doesn’t shock you, you’re not shockable.  There is nothing about this movement to be “proud” of and a lot to be sickened by.  Their sexual depravity knows no limits.  Anything goes, if it pleases you, even if it hurts others, including kids and their innocence.  Also embedded in her article is this video by Bill Maher.  I’m no fan of Bill Maher, but this video is not only hilarious, it is dead on target.  Check it out.

      The basic unit of stable society, the family, is systematically being destroyed and replaced with a dysfunctional, anything goes redefinition of “family”, a reimagined family.  A redefinition that includes anything but the traditional nuclear family.  How well has that panned out?  Well, just take a look at our Democrat run inner cities where 3 out of 4 children grow up in homes with no father in the household.  Girls there find family with their mothers.  Boys seek family through gangs, since there is no father to keep them home and show them how to be a man.  There will be far too few celebrations of Father’s Day in our inner cities tomorrow, sadly.  Yet liberals are surprised at the alarming increase in crime.  They blame guns, of course, unless the shooter is perceived to be a conservative, ala Rittenhouse, then it’s the white nationalist, white supremacist, Republican, NRA shooter’s fault.  No one accuses liberals of being big thinkers.  If you think walking up to an innocent 8-year-old and blowing his brains out for no reason is a “gun problem”, then you are a major part of the problem.

 

      A society cannot remain ordered with this dysfunctionality going on.  Something has to give.  With Sodom and Gomorrah, that “something” was God destroying those cities, sparing Lot and his family.  They were too far gone to be rehabilitated and reconciled with God.  Have we reached that point?  If not, will we reach it or will we turn back, repent and reinstitute those values that made us a once great functioning society, that shining city on a hill.  Let’s pray that it’s not too late.
