One of the most brilliant and grounded psychologists, Jordan B. Peterson, made a post on the Bluebird of Happiness(Twitter), with nothing but truths, wisdom and foresight, not even disparaging the one being used to demonstrate, only as an example of the upside down world we live in, and essentially got banned from the platform. Well, all this depends on whether you use your noggin for turning compost or for thought, which is Jordan’s trademark. I won’t get into his motivation for making the post, he touches on that in his response to the Twitter gods.
To the left, this gentleman has turned their compost into a stinking heap, and does it in something I have a hard time doing, like expand on every word to the point that, if you can’t figure out what he just said, just flex that brain muscle once more and you’ll get it. He is that good at making his point, but this tweet was not worthy of being enough to ban anyone. The tweet contained nothing more than simple truths.
Gluttony, greed, sloth, envy, wrath, PRIDE, lust. The Seven Deadly Sins as used to be taught. I highlighted pride because it is fundamental to Peterson’s “banned Tweet”, since he said in the tweet that pride used to be a sin, and look at the gay PRIDE month, and all the rest of those secular adorations of ones’ self, when it comes to groups of people who decided it was better to fly in the face of God with their “Pride”. I was mad when the homosexuals decided to steal the word “Gay”, so this pride thing needed the Jordan Peterson treatment. Let alone the sin of being gay, the sin that Peterson exposed is the sin of censoring the truth.
Peterson has a long history of respect of other’s opinions and viewpoint. It is all over Youtube. He has published hundreds of educational videos, from his classroom lectures to his series on philosophy and religion. He did a fantastic Munk Debate, and the gentleman who took the same side of the stage as his was a homosexual. This man couldn’t be more civil and courteous to the individual who is a homosexual or has the gender dysphoria who wishes to be known as “so and so pronoun”, but he stresses for the truth, and he calls out blasphemy, which is no sin, at all. He called Twitter out as a result, and told the platform where to go.
I won’t go any farther in dissecting one of man’s greatest living contemporary teachers(my opinion), just watch him rebut Twitter. In his usual style, he shows that courage is automatic in his vocabulary and intellect. He speaks his mind, and I don’t believe he has ever steered anyone wrong. You might think he is a bit dramatic. Maybe so, but he drives home his point better than anyone I have ever seen. Anyone who can include the footnotes on the page, when delivering it in person is pretty damned awesome.

This man has had a very positive impact on thousands, if not millions of our young adults. People, like Jordan B. Peterson don’t come around very often. Be thankful they do. One thing he does, that I never hear anyone talk about is that what he does is courageous. Just like a soldier on a battlefield doing what has to be done being courageous, Peterson is doing, on his battleground, what has to be done.
Courage to stand up and be heard. That’s a lot, and a good lesson, to boot!
