Last week, in Part XLIX, Merrick Garland’s and Christopher Wray’s most infamous hit was the subject of a song parody. This week, time considerations prohibit the construction of a new song parody to the subject of this week’s missive, who has herself made a mockery of what it takes to be a republican member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
Despite the lack of time available to do a new song parody this week, one is not needed in this circumstance. The message sent by Wyoming primary voters this Tuesday to Liz Cheney as she was beaten by more than 30 percentage points by her opponent Harriet Hageman was actually done nearly 60 years ago by the Del Satins (Dion DiMucci also recorded this on an extended play record eponymously titled “Feelin’ No Pain, but produced his frequent collaborators the Del Satins in the version featured here).
