Why the Bad Behavior of Communist Zealots? by COL(R) Andrew P. O’Meara

Why the Bad Behavior of Communist Zealots? As a very old white male reject of the cancel culture, I ask myself how did it come to this? We have been used, abused, abandoned, and rejected by the liberal establishment we served all our lives. Those we fought to defend have gone into business for themselves, while selling our birthrights to the Chinese Communists becoming millionaires in the process. Like Jack, Americans have sold the family cow for a handful of beans.

Among the regrets of octogenarians of my generation (with enough marbles to relate to what passes for intelligent life) is our failure to establish ourselves as the good guys in our lifelong struggle against communist thugs, who have reduced Americans to slavery. They have robbed us blind, stolen our intellectual property, stolen our elections, ravaged our youth with drugs, all the while posturing as the good guys who alone can deliver social justice. They call social justice equity meaning everyone shares in the same misery, squalor, and poverty.

Their endless blather consists of virtue signaling that conceals their record as the original slave owners, the cause of the great Civil War, the founders of the KKK, the landlords of every urban slum in America, as well as the cause of the Trail of Tears, segregation, euthanasia (abortion) for minorities, and poverty for deplorables.

Having cornered the wealth of the middle class, ruined our prosperous blue-collar workers, and sent our jobs to Communist China, they call themselves the good guys, while plundering America the beautiful. How did we allow the radicals to eat our lunch?

Several years ago, I set out to write on the disparity in the character of the combatants of East and West. There are enormous differences between the behavior of American soldiers, who take an oath to defend the US Constitution, as opposed to communist soldiers who fight to impose communist rule. Those differences were obvious to those of us fighting in South Vietnam but were unseen by American citizens on the Home Front. Moreover, neither the liberal media, nor the academic community, were interested in clarifying the situation.

I was dismayed by the appalling ignorance, especially on college campuses, of the public who have no appreciation for the honorable character of American service men and women. Following my return from Vietnam, I resolved to write about battlefield behavior of troops on both sides to clarify the differences. I publish rebuttals of accounts of the Vietnam War created by American journalists who saw our troops as war criminals.

My intent was idealistic, if unrealistic. It was to enlighten the public regarding the noble character of the American military. I wrote articles that appeared in professional journals making the case for honorable American combatants. Regrettably, my work was not well received by the Fourth Estate, who were marketing opposing views. Accordingly, ignorance of the noble character of the US armed forces persists especially on college campuses to this day.

My work sought to identify fundamental differences between societies that produced soldiers who were war criminals vis-a-vie societies that produced law abiding citizen soldiers. My research revealed that soldiers of military dictatorships, as well as soldiers of communist dictatorships, committed war crimes. Thus, it was necessary to explain the differences in behavior between soldiers of three different societies: Communist Dictatorships, Military Dictatorships, and Constitutional Republics.

Constitutional

Republic

Libel Society

Communist

Dictatorship

Military

Dictatorship

  • A Constitutional Republic is the product of power sharing of the people with liberal political leaders. The US military was created by the founders of the Republic to defend the Constitution.
  • A Military Dictatorship is the product of power sharing of the people with their military leadership. The military is employed to destroy the Communist Party as well as to preserve the traditional society and Western Civilization.
  • A Communist totalitarian dictatorship is the product of power sharing of the Communist Party with the leaders of the military and secret police. The communist ruling alliance wages war to eliminate those identified as class enemies and to subjugate the people. (A detailed discussion of the character of the military can be found in Liberty Vs. Tyranny by the author.)

Modern military dictatorships are the product of a union of military leaders (e.g., Franko of Spain or Pinochet of Chili) and the common people to eradicate revolutionaries. Military dictators make war on the Communist Party to preserve Western Civilization, i.e., the church, private property, and the middle class as well as the civic culture, customs, and traditions. Soldiers of military dictatorships assassinate members of the Communist Party to preserve the traditional society.

In the process military dictatorships resort to atrocities like those of the communists. Eradication of the Communist Party constitutes murder, though on a smaller scale than the genocidal purges that occurred in the USSR, the PRC, Vietnam, and Cambodia that destroyed entire social classes. Nonetheless, purging the Communist Party constitutes murder that brutalizes those who carry out assassinations in defense of their traditional society.

Communist dictatorships are formed by power sharing by radical communist leaders with the leadership of the military and secret police. Marxist revolutionaries are united in a quest for political power using military force to purge class enemies and subjugate the people.

Whereas the soldiers of dictatorships commit crimes against humanity, liberal societies reject war crimes entirely. The founders of constitutional republics act in the name of the sovereign people to create a union of the people with their political leadership to protect individual liberties and the constitution. American soldiers perform highly moral tasks that preserve the morality of the individual soldier defending freedom and the US Constitution.

Disparities between the conduct of combatants of tyrannical regimes, as opposed to the behavior of soldiers serving in the armed forces of constitutional republics (e.g., the US, UK, Israel, Canada, Australia), are enormous since their purposes are diametrically opposed. Whereas American soldiers act as law abiding citizen soldiers guarding the freedom of the people; communist soldiers, such as the Peoples’ Army of Vietnam (PAVN), act as war criminals who purge entire social classes as enemies of the Communist Party.

During the Vietnam War troops of the Peoples’ Army of Vietnam (PAVN) carried out political missions directed by Hanoi to eliminate class enemies including the middle class, Roman Catholics, and members of the Saigon government and their armed forces resulting in massive country-wide atrocities. The communist soldiers were in the business of creating political power from the barrel of a gun in the words of Mao. Their murderous conduct produces deeply flawed character, i.e., communist soldiers behave as brutal thugs who murder the innocent in the name of their communist doctrine.

PAVN atrocities committed during the Vietnam War were not reported by foreign journalist covering the War from Saigon and Hanoi. Consequently, their atrocities went unrecognized in Europe and America. Suffice it to say, most of the journalists reporting the war had a political agenda that reflected the adherence of the liberal establishment to socialism and communism.

Regrettably, the noble character of US armed forces is fragile. It can’t long survive criminal conduct by tyrants who trash American exceptionalism. The sharp distinctions between the behavior of US soldiers serving under President Biden and that of communist soldiers of communist regimes in Cuba and Venezuela have been dramatically obscured. Why? Individual liberties of American citizens have been undermined by a regime that no longer protects the freedoms of the First Amendment.

The Biden Administration has subverted the will of the people exercising dictatorial power that undermines the noble cause for which American soldiers formerly served. Thus, during the two years of the Biden Administration the distinctions between communist soldiers and American soldiers have been obscured, if not lost entirely.

Following the adoption of Critical Race Theory by the Biden Administration, members of the US armed forces have been indoctrinated with anti-American propaganda that serves to destroy the allegiance of the military to the Constitution. Given the comprehensive efforts of the Biden Administration to subvert the Constitution, the Constitution is threatened with obsolescence. Consequently, we can no longer assume defense of the Constitution is the motive force for US military service.

Fortunately, all is not lost. Freedom still reigns in states governed by the GOP. Nonetheless, freedom is being repressed in states governed by the Democratic Party and its radical socialist cadre. Loyal Americans need a victory in the mid-term elections of 2022, or a miracle to save the last best hope of man. Let us pray that a gracious God comes to the aid of his people so that the election is not stolen, and freedom once again flourishes throughout our land. And American service members are once again permitted to serve a noble cause.

  1. Someone will show up and put the exact quote here, but the problem you faced being less than well received was the cause of the communists already in the ranks of the media and academia, and government! We are also reminded that Kruschev, or some loyal commie did once say that they would destroy us from within.

Vietnam became such a mess that pols of both parties had to abandon defending that cause. Because of the commies within, ruling a narrative.
