Each New Year is a time of reflection, new plans, ambitions, and hope. Not happening this year. When I “liked to died” with Covid Pneumonia last year, I was impressed with how easily our time ends. Solomon reflected likewise about life, but better, in Ecclesiastes. Regardless, some hard facts remain for all living persons. For all Americans living this new day, these United States of America are plunging headlong into three existential crises – illegal immigration, financial collapse, and war with China. How do we wake up and act in 2023?
- Illegal Aliens
There were 11.4 to 20 million illegal aliens in the US when Joe Biden opened our borders in January 2021. How flaky is that estimate to range from 12 to 20 million? During Joe’s malfeasance to date, over 2 million have broken the law – and been admitted by the Federal Government. At least 5 million should be in the US before the 2024 Presidential election. The 5 million illegal aliens might be the extra 5 million illegal votes the Democrats need to win.
If subverting our elections doesn’t rise to the level of an existential threat to the U.S., then the simple to destruction of the Rule of Law does. A nation of laws ceases to be a lawful when it stops following its own laws. Every illegal alien, despite their fake asylum plea, and no matter how compelling their tales of being tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free as wretched refuse on our teeming shore, broke the law. Every illegal alien should be deported according to the letter and the spirit of the law.
If you don’t stop illegal aliens, you stop having a country. When will the people who moved here overwhelm the people born here? How long, and is it possible to assimilate everyone who came here as an illegal? No border, no sovereignty, no country.
Also, the additional costs of the illegal aliens – 15 million (at the low end or 23 million at the high) out of a population of 330 million – who don’t speak English, may have little or no education and marketable skills, and who will chain immigrate their elderly relatives when they get amnesty – will bankrupt the federal, state, and local governments. The Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC) reported back in 2010 that the “average unlawful immigrant household received around $24,721 in government benefits and services while paying some $10,334 in taxes. This generated an average annual fiscal deficit (benefits received minus taxes paid) of around $14,387 per household.” Meanwhile, the average Social Security recipient gets $19, 884 and pays taxes on that – the money they paid through their whole working lives. Illegals got $24k per avg family (2010) > than Seniors get $20k (2022). When the governments can’t pay their bills, it’s an existential threat to the US.
- Financial Collapse.
If your family, business, or church took in $49k @ year, spend $63k, and paid $5k interest on your $310k debt, how long could you continue like that? Well, if you printed your own money, you could go on until people stop accepting your money. Add enough zeros to make $49k read as $4.9T and you have the U.S. Government. It’s insane, incompetent, criminal behavior, yet, Establishment Republicans and the Democrats Commies continue to spend, spend, and spend.
Because they can. So many Americans are economically illiterate, math-challenged, or indoctrinated into stupidity to not see, understand, or care about the coming financial collapse. They will win it happens.
In the next 10 years, more and more will be spent on interest payments alone. Military and welfare state spending will be crowded out. Half of America will be utterly surprised. And confused.
If the world stops keeping US dollars as their reserve currency, like countries used to keep gold and silver, to back up their own money’s worth, our economy collapses. All Americans will be surprised. And broke worse than the Great Depression. If and when other countries don’t trust the US to pay its bills, the national debt, the financial collapse destroys our economy.
This isn’t hyperbole. Yet, who can get elected to Congress with promises to cut spending? What happens if a candidate suggests reforms for Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and payments to illegal aliens? What happens to an elected politician who doesn’t “bring home the bacon?” What if an elected official actually cuts spending?
- War with China
War with China isn’t inevitable, but given the failings and foolishness of humankind, it’s very likely in this century. The military planning to avoid being nuked to death or EMP’d back to the 19th Century is important, necessary, but insufficient.
American needs to understand China and all of Asia well enough to plan a war-winning strategy that ends with a victory that brings peace for a hundred years. Like the victories in WW 2 brought us peace with Germany and Japan for the past 77 years. What does that win look like? How do we achieve it?
Instead of culturally-cleansing all things Confederate from the Defense Department, they should study how Confederates did so well with so little. Instead of training troops on the proper use of pronouns to address the mentally ill in uniform, they should be figuring out what victory will truly bring a long peace.
These three nightmares above make for a gloomy New Year’s 2023. But, they must be seen in the clarity of this new, bright, winter’s day. If there’s a resolution to be made, resolve to solve these three challenges – no matter what
