My last article walked through some aspects of the ongoing politics associated with the reauthorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA.)
I’ve hammered the Federal Bumblers of Investigations (FBI) in many of my articles as the poster children for malfeasance when it comes to intelligence: they simply suck at it. They were bad at it when the DNI stood up in FY 2005 and have not improved with billions of additional dollars a year to help.
The reason may have more to do with the incompatibility of a law enforcement charter providing the backdrop and rationale for the production of intelligence-in effect, somewhat tainting the methodology-which somehow gets so obsessed with the misguided idea or belief in proving assumptions rather than finding facts, that they create or manufacture the evidence, if necessary-not unlike a scientist with a hypothesis in the COVID era reviving Remdesivir, even though it was responsible for like 54% of deaths when given to EBOLA patients, or better yet (worse) the false narrative still being touted in our country how gender “treatment” and elective surgery reduces suicide tendencies in treating the sexual dysphoric-even in the face of most of Europe abandoning the practice-because it doesn’t-and the fiction that led to the belief that it did has been exposed and was based on seriously flawed and biased studies by advocates.
A narrative which follows my last article in that the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) report on 702s disclosed that the FBI illegally pursued and received FISA approvals some ~280,00 times in a two-year span. Prompting the following recent exchange on the hill between Senator Hawley and FBI Deputy Director Paul Abbate:
“When we find intentional incidents–” Abbate said before Hawley cut him off.
“Wait, you’re saying that the 278,000 queries were unintentional?” Hawley asked.
“I believe that’s correct.”
“Wow,” Hawley said, visibly shocked. “278,000 times, American citizens’ information was queried by your agency unintentionally? That’s your testimony?”
Note the irony of the DNI reporting on this issue, with a similarly tawdry record that includes the IC liar’s choir of 51 getting behind a letter misleading the public on Hunter’s laptop, CIA withholding full election analysis on the Chinese in order to keep the president they served from getting information he might use against the Chinese, the flawed Russian Election Interference National Intelligence Estimate that was produced in less time than it takes to agree upon a terms of reference that found the Russians favored and helped Trump based on a total lie of CIA Director Brennan, and of course the shame of this century so far represented by the Russia, Russia, Russia, Pee Pee Hoax and later the 6 Jan Ninja pipe bomber who can’t be found who triggered the mayhem plot.
We could cite these problems and issues all day long-for weeks, years and decades, but what is to be done about it?
The recent action by Florida republican Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna against inveterate liar California democrat Congressman Adam Schiff is exactly what ought to happen, although with a huge fine specified, it is going to be problematic to pass. I think censure is the most viable action, but who deserves an action like this more than Schiff?
Well, maybe democrat rep Jamie Raskin, who looked at the same FBI memo as did republican rep and committee chair James Comer after the FBI finally produced a document that had been asked for to the point of a threat of a contempt charge, with Raskin pulling a total Schiff on it and lying to the public about what it contained.
Comer responded with surprising details and facts, not the least of which includes the debunking of the notion of the involvement of Rudy Giuliani-of late an important democrat boogey man in many of these scandals (like Hunter)-whereas the actual facts came from a well-known, long term and reputable FBI confidential human source. Also, the debunking of the notion that the case had already been closed, and the shocking information that the man who paid the Biden bribes-Burisma founder Mykola Zlochevsky-not only paid but he also recorded some 15-17 discussions that the FBI has known about for some time, considering the recent paperwork was largely updates from information provided to the FBI in 2017: 2017.
And that’s besides the fact that Biden is on video touting proudly how he conspired to bribe Ukraine over aid to fire the prosecutor looking into Burisma legal issues that would have included Hunter Biden. Perhaps more amazing in what is getting to be this crazy country of ours, references to this video often say “reportedly or allegedly:” the video is unambiguous-unless someone thinks it is one of Schiff’s warned about “deep fakes…”
It’s not just the government. Many were shocked and amazed to hear that the American Federation of Teacher’s union had “advocated for the opening of schools all along because they knew firsthand the devastating affect remote learning would have on the students.” President Randi Weingarten recently testified to these lies and was quickly and summarily called out on social media-but phffft, who cares or notices? Besides, she apparently had more important business to attend to in Ukraine: yes, Ukraine.
In my lifetime the FBI has been a law enforcement agency (LEA) that seems incapable-unwilling-or unable to ignore the will of their pay and political masters who they rely upon for subsistence-e.g., budget. What is a lifetime in this context-and I would say it is simply from the time that a man who wasn’t elected to be president-Lyndon Baines Johnson (LBJ) -who President John F. Kennedy described as “someone who is simply unable to tell the truth,” and who he likely would not have kept as his Vice-President in the wake of the ever increasing noose that had ensnared his closest political associates in terms of his mentee, business partners and family, took office.
LBJ is the one who granted a waiver for continuation of service to FBI Dir Hoover, which not only made a lot of LBJs legal problems go away while neutering the mafia investigation of then AG Robert F. Kennedy but resulted in a brand-new FBI HQs building. One could argue we have the same shenanigans ongoing with the FBI today. Desultory performance across the board in their main function, characterized by politicized, unequal justice and kowtowing to the political party in charge or in favor-or both.
I mention Hoover’s FBI because his knowledge and subsequent cover up of the conspiracy to kill JFK fed lies and nonsense theories to the Warren Commission that caused thousands of books to be written on the assassination that as late as the 1980s was still attempting to document facts and debunk lies told to the American people-such as the fact that Oswald was a lone nut case gunman and Jack Rubinstein, aka, Jack Ruby, was not involved with the mob.
Later resulting in more assassinations and lies when RFK and Martin Luther King fell victim to similar plots.
Schiff may not in the final analysis be held to account for all his lies and mistruths and distractions, since the first step in the process is for a jury of his peers to take action in a manner that would require extraordinary contention and precedent, but it would at least send a message that might give these politicians pause that a day of reckoning is possible, that there is a process, and people are watching.
It might even prod the LSMBTG to do their jobs and start calling these lies out in the case of politicians like Schiff, Rashkin, or public figures like Weingarten, who lie with impunity without fear that friend and foe alike will pause in the midst of daily battles to point it out.
To what lengths will they go to cover up Biden corruption and malfeasance?
Meanwhile they pursue the Bad Orange Man like a Banana Republic’s last gasp….
