Political Parody As a Weapon Part XCIV; Grandpa, does your dog bite- No, child, no (at least since Major was taken from the White House).
Last week, in Part XCIII, Joe Biden was smoked like a pork belly in a pellet cooker. This week, from a US District Court in New Orleans, a cry is stifled no longer, and turns into a loud roar of laughter (or at least a chuckle).
Most of the readers at this site are familiar with the actions taken by social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story prior to the presidential election in the Fall of 2020. Likewise, former government intelligence officials abused their credentials from the intelligence community (I C) to falsely identify the origins of the contents of the laptop, which revealed the depths of Biden family corruption and how Joe Biden was compromised by foreign influences in China and the former Soviet bloc.
Once Biden took office in January of 2021, Biden’s White House began to accelerate its efforts to prevent unapproved messages in contradiction to its policies from being discussed and distributed on popular social media platforms. The efforts were so aggressive and in conflict with the First Amendment of the Constitution that the state Attorney Generals of Missouri and Louisiana filed suit against the Biden administration for abridging the free speech rights of their citizens in collusion with their social media contacts. The evidence provided in support of the complaint established these violations sufficiently enough to convince the Judge hearing the case to issue a preliminary injunction against the Biden White House and administration from having continuing contact with the social media networks.
One American who was spared having to witness the spectacle of a presidential administration helping to try to repress the political speech of its opponents was Charlie Daniels, who passed away half a year before Biden occupied the White House. Mr. Daniel’s was a great American who successfully wrote and recorded in several musical genres. From his 1973 pop hit “Uneasy Rider”, his pro-US rocker “In America” during the Iranian hostage crisis in 1980, his country-themed hits like “The South’s Gonna Do It Again” and “Long-Haired Country Boy”, to his anthem to Viet Nam veterans’ PTSD “Still in Saigon”, Charlie Daniels and his band pleased fans of many kinds of music.
Still, there was no bigger hit than his 1979 homage to the fiddle entitled “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” that told the tale of the talented fiddler who rose to the devil’s challenge of his skills. The song seems an appropriate venue to use to mock the Biden administration and the smackdown dealt to their efforts to deny free speech to those who oppose them.
Joe Biden went down to Twitter, to make them his grand jury
‘ Cause in ev’ry poll, he was in the hole
And he was needed to shape the story
So Joe went there and Instagram and said “let me tell you what
I need a jump on my campaign stump
And the answer is what you got”
“I guess you didn’t know it but since I went to the White House
There’s misinformation about inflation, and folks think I’m a louse
Now you have pretty nice platforms here
But I can give you trouble
But if with me you will agree
We’ll expand the D.C. bubble”
The platforms said “We’re with you! Like you say ‘No joke’
Conservative quotes, we’ll grab their throats
And with both hands we will choke”
Joe Biden went to Facebook and out in the Twittersphere
To censor out the truth and with his rivals interfere
And if somehow the truth gets out he’ll call his I C hacks
They’ll write a letter blaming Russian hacks
Biden tipped his cap and said, “Thanks for this big donation”
And his homeland secretary got a board of disinformation
And they squeezed the truth on COVID and they pushed it through a sieve
And blotted out each one
That didn’t fit their narrative
And if Biden disapproved then not a message could be sent
He cast his lot and soon forgot
About the First Amendment
Biden’s in the White House run boys, run
The weasel’s in the hen house get your gun
Shutting out those against his cause
Going where the Congress can’t make laws
But Elon Musk bought Twitter and he opened up the files
Some took Biden to court and they scheduled civil trials
A judge then hammered Biden with a pretrial injunction
To shut down speech can never be a governmental function
Biden’s in the White House run boys, run
The weasel’s in the hen house get your gun
Shutting out those against his cause
Going where the Congress can’t make laws
