It’s Disproportionate Violence That Resolves Wars

When I was asked by a friend to write articles for his website, I was flattered, but at the same time a bit concerned. It is one thing to engage in intellectual combat with random addled Biden voters, racist BLM demagogues, or pandering Democrat apologists for white sin, but writing essays and thinking that folks would read them seemed a stretch. However, I respect my friend and the project seemed worthwhile, so I agreed to contribute. Commitment made, the worry over where to get ideas for commentaries on a regular basis immediately set in. Where do authors get their topics every week?

I need not have worried. Every single week, and every hour, minute, and second of every day, liberals are hard at work pushing asinine ideas and trying to get government to enforce them on the rest of us. Often, they try to push their idiocy into laws immediately, but just as frequently they assume that what they are saying is so right that laws are not even needed. They just try to shame people into obedience. Whether it’s wearing masks; going to casinos instead of church; believing that climate change is caused by people; knowing that white people are racists; feeling in their souls that international borders are evil; or accepting that electric vehicles are a moral imperative; this society is awash in theories and ideas that nearly 100% of liberals believe like Christians used to believe in the Immaculate Conception and the Resurrection. They are foundational, life guiding concepts for zealous liberals, but the rest of us think they are dangerous morons. Well folks, they are at it again with a concept that is possibly the most dangerous (at least to free nations) yet: proportional warfare.

This concept has reared its head before and is the genesis of much debate in the US military and in political circles. It has led to ludicrously restrictive ROE for our soldiers in combat, starting in Vietnam and all the way to the present day; supported policies that forbid us taking the fight to the enemy in their own countries; created a mindset that puts the comfort and even safety of the enemy above that of our own soldiers and citizens; and given an incredible advantage to fascist, Islamist and Communist regimes which are more than happy to see their citizen minions slaughtered if that will gain a victory.

Now, not satisfied with shafting our own soldiers, the Democrat left wing is now trying to foist the same inane and dangerous approach to warfare on the Israelis. As the Palestinians bombard Israel with thousands of rockets, clearly an act of total war, the left wing is loudly trumpeting their demands that Israel respond “proportionately”, and the left wing, anti- American dolt, Bernie Sanders, is demanding that America review its military support for Israel, hinting that its disproportionate response might be criminal.

Seriously? As of this year, Israel has about 8.7 million citizens. The Palestinian state has a population of 5.2 million. Iran, Hamas’ biggest ally, has 85 million people. Syria, 17.5 million. Indonesia, about 237 million, and there are many other countries hostile to Israel who are backing the Palestinians and sending weapons, money, fighters and intelligence to them. Since all those countries are sworn to eradicate Israel, and/or the Jewish people, perhaps a “proportional response” would be for Israel to attack them all and eliminate enough of their citizens so that it becomes a fair fight; 8.7 million Israelis, versus 8.7 million Muslims. Then it could be a one for one fight.

The Muslims kill one Israeli, the Israelis get to kill one Muslim. But wait! About 20% of Israelis are Muslims!! To be “fair,” Israel should get to kill 50% more Muslims, or they would run out of Jewish Israelis before their opponents ran out of Muslims. The whole concept reminds one of a Star Trek episode about two planets who were engaged in a centuries old war that was managed entirely by computers, and people meekly reported to disintegration chambers when the computers declared them casualties. Quite proportionate, in fact 100% guaranteed to be, but also completely and utterly stupid. Who knew that Gene Roddenberry’s show was predicting the future of warfare if it is run by liberal Democrats?

Let’s make something perfectly clear to left wing fools who are pushing this agenda: it is the stupidest idea since open borders and just as dangerous to our nation. The objective of war is to ensure your enemies suffer as disproportionately as you possibly can. We defeated Germany and Japan by destroying their armies, air forces, navies and cities in a grossly disproportionate manner. That was not a war crime, it was an amazing and beneficial victory for the entire world. Any time we send our soldiers to fight, we should commit to winning a victory as complete and lopsided as we achieved in World War II. Moreover, we should support our allies like Israel and encourage them to seek victories that are just as lopsided. The “disproportion” that Democrats and the mainstream media lament is exactly what would bring the ruthless, genocidal thugs running Iran, Palestine, and Syria to heel once and for all. While Trump was President, the same countries now attacking Israel were oddly peaceful. Four months into the term of the senile crook, Joe Biden, those nations are attacking Israel with a vengeance and so are Democrats and our media. It seems quite out of proportion. Here’s hoping Israel does whatever is necessary to persuade the thugs leading the fight against her, that grossly disproportionate damage will be done to them now, and it will get worse if they ever attack Israel again.
