How trite a title this would be if America were still sane. But, since Americans who have a megaphone in the media voice their certitude that gender is fluid so a man who self-identifies as woman actually is a woman, the title works. Such public lunacy validates disputed Orwell quote, “In a time of universal deceit – telling the truth is a revolutionary act.” Meanwhile, in real ville Motherhood remains essential to our species, vital to the state, cherished by its beneficiaries, and exalted by the living Lord in the Bible.
It would be seriously funny (pun intended), if it weren’t so pathetically earnest when Liberals (what’s their latest label?) scream “Bigot” when one says men can’t become women. That there’s no such thing as Trans-men or Trans-women. There are only mentally ill persons suffering Gender Dysphoria or sheepish, foolish fad followers. Or, there are homosexuals and lesbians called transvestites who wear the clothes of the opposite sex and want to live out their fantasy of being the opposite of their biology.
How hard is it to define what a woman is? The proven science of biology establishes gender differences in the chromosomes of every cell in the human body. The weight of the whole of human history documents two genders. Many sexual expressions and perversions, but two – count ‘em – genders. Finally, the desires of the mentally ill themselves prove the binary nature of humanity. The Trans-person wants to the opposite of themselves. Oh, some may claim to be non-binary but that’s merely their sexual behavior, not a third gender.
The hard fact remains that Mother’s Day is for women.
The travesty of homosexual faux “marriage” is that the State orders a child procured by homosexuals will never have a Mother. The child may have a loving father or two caring parents. But, that child will never know a mother’s love. A mother’s devotion. A mother’s nurturing. The state orders: “You may not have a mother.”
That’s wrong. That’s an immoral abuse of a child for the self-gratification of adults. The same goes for a child consigned by the state to lesbians who can never be a father.
And, one other wrong from the state. Taxes are the difference between a one-parent income supporting a family of four and two parents working outside the home. Taxes are the tipping point on top of second car, gas, maintenance, childcare, work clothes, food, etc. which must be deducted from the second parent’s income to figure what the real gain is. Reducing taxes makes it more economical for one parent to raise her own children.
That parent is likely to be the mother. Doesn’t have to be. My mother worked as well as my father back in the 1950s. She didn’t go back to work until the youngest, me, was 8 years old.
Women have the freedom to choose not to be home until their children leave the house for school – assuming they aren’t home-schooling which can be so excellent a choice.
This is a woman’s real right to choose. That right isn’t about aborting their babies. It’s the choice to stay home when the wee ones need their mother more than anything.
One size doesn’t fit all. But for most women and most children it’s the perfect fit. It’s the way of nature. Our species. It’s glowingly described in the Proverbs in the Bible.
If the state can intervene wrongly in faux marriages, it should do rightly and reduce taxes even more for both two parent and one parent families.
Motherhood can be such a blessing. A mother’s lovingkindness binds the family. It makes the family. I know father’s and grandfather’s roles well. They’re important, but fathers aren’t like a mother.
For all the years so many kids in my late wife’s school had parents deployed overseas, she said it was especially hard when Mom’s had to leave their children. As a guidance counselor helping them with “deployed” groups and individual care, she saw it starkly.
Children need mothers.
Proverbs 31:31: “Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ’Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’”
