With “Republicans” Like This, Who Needs Democrats?

Two ex-members of Congress are showing why we need to be rid of a professional political class.

It may be dangerous to be America’s enemy, but to be America’s friend is fatal.

Former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger

I had to think of Dr. Kissinger’s quote when I read these following articles. Adam Kinzinger and Liz Cheney, ex-congresspersons are both only known because they are militant never Trumpers. Now that their time on the two seasons of January 6th– The Committee is over, they need something to keep themselves relevant. So they will campaign for Democrats against their fellow (snicker) Republicans.

First, Mr. Kinzinger is campaigning for Representative Colin Allred, the Democratic nominee against incumbent senator Ted Cruz.

Ex-lawmaker leads GOP group for Allred

Since moving to The Woodlands about two years ago, former U.S. Rep. Adam Kinzinger — one of the most vocal GOP critics of Donald Trump — says he’s met several Texas Republicans who are just as

uncomfortable with the direction of his party as him. Now Kinzinger is trying to persuade them to do the unthinkable and vote

for a Democrat. Kinzinger is leading a group of Republicans

supporting U.S. Rep. Colin Allred’s bid against U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz in one of the most hotly contested Senate races in the nation.

The Woodlands is a high-end suburb north of Houston. Mr. Kinzinger is the latest locust to enter Texas, infecting a great state like us. I think our legislature just passed a bill forbidding refugees from failed 3rd World States like the former State of California from voting for 25 years. They need to be deprogrammed. Need to add Illinois and New York to that list. But let’s go on.

“…When I talk to Republicans, I say, ‘Do you like where the GOP is

now?’” Kinzinger said in an interview with Hearst Newspapers.

“There are some that do, and they’re going to vote for Ted Cruz,” he said. “But there are a lot that are embarrassed about where the

Republican Party is that are holding on to this hope that, ‘Just after

November, we’re going to wake up and come back to what we were.’ Well guess what, we’re not going to do that — particularly if Ted Cruz wins again — because he’s part of the reason we’re exactly in this position.”

Kinzinger, who withdrew from his reelection campaign in Illinois

after his district was redrawn to pit him against a Trump-aligned

Republican congressman, slammed Cruz for going from Trump’s

“nemesis” in the 2016 GOP primary to his “chief supporter.” He

argued Allred has no similar allegiance to his party or anyone in it.

“If the Democratic Party decided some day to go off the rails, similar to what the GOP did, I guarantee you, he would be like Adam Kinzinger or Liz Cheney, saying this can’t happen,” he said. Cheney, a Republican who also served on the Jan. 6 committee and is a vocal critic of Trump and Cruz, has also endorsed Allred in the race.

Oh this is funny. A lying loser who only made a name for himself by becoming a token RINO in a reality television show has escaped his failing 3rd World state (Illinois) and is now trying to transform Texas into it. I wonder if Kinzinger understands that people are flocking from these Democratic hell holes to red states because the offer things blue states have abandoned. Freedom, opportunity, low crime, the ability to run a business and make a profit without a tax collector or bureaucrat draining you dry, stopping leftist radicals from destroying our schools and institutions. Sorry Adam, go back home. This won’t sell.

Texas Democratic senate nominee Colin Allred is almost as much of a chameleon as Kamila Harris. He was against the border wall, but now he’s for it. His exact words, “if they build that racist wall, my generation will be the one to tear it down.” Allred voted against federal support for Operation Lone Star and wants amnesty. Allred voted against banning males from calling themselves girls and playing on female teams or going into the girl’s locker rooms. Plus is against school vouchers (although, I’ll bet, his kids go to private school).

Not to be outdone, Liz Cheney, spawn of Darth Vadar, has found her mission in life. It is, get this, to try to get Democrats elected. Give Ms. Cheney this, unlike John McCain, she’s opening endorsing this radical woman. I would like her to show some integrity and leave the GOP, like I asked her father to do so a few weeks back. But here we go from a recent post on National Review:

Liz Cheney Hurts Her Own Cause

Charles C. W. Cooke

As is invariably the case when a conservative of any stripe elects to publicly endorse a Democrat, Liz Cheney’s decision to actively campaign in support of Kamala Harris’s presidential candidacy has yielded a host of emotional paeans, a crush of sycophantic encomia, and a flock of confident-if-hollow assertions that, because she has now been endorsed by a scattering of right-wingers, the Democrats have at long last responded to the threat of Donald Trump by engaging in “Republican outreach.” I must report, alas, that all of these reactions are unsound. Insofar as Cheney’s wholehearted recommendation is likely to have any material effect on our present predicament, it will be to increase the supply of distrust in the political class, and thus to make our underlying problems worse. This, as the kids these days like to say, ain’t it.

I do not begrudge Liz Cheney her decision to endorse Kamala Harris. I do not question her sincerity in doing so, either. If, as she claims, Cheney believes that Donald Trump has not merely disqualified himself from consideration but represents a tangible threat to the U.S. Constitution, then the course she has chosen is the rational one. My issue is with Cheney’s strategic judgment. In the past, Cheney has described Harris as a “radical liberal” who “sounds just like Karl Marx”; as an outré ideologue who wants to reserve “absentee ballots for al-Qaeda”; and as an extremist who “would raise taxes, take away guns & health insurance, and explode the size and power of the federal gov’t,” and “recreate America in the image of what’s happening on the streets of Portland & Seattle.” Logically, there is nothing that prevents Cheney from continuing to believe all of these things while voting for Harris nevertheless. Cheney has already said that, “because of the danger that Donald Trump poses,” she “will be voting for Kamala Harris,” and, while it is not my own, this position is wholly defensible. But, by actively campaigning with Harris, Cheney has both undercut her authority and hurt the very cause that she is trying to serve…

Respectfully, Liz Cheney is serving one cause: Liz Cheney and the Washington Establishment, aka The Swamp. Cheney knew she was dead to the Republican base before she got defeated in a landslide primary (when incumbents get re-elected in a 98% of the time, you know that’s bad) K Street is not calling yet, so she has to do something to make herself relevant. So she’s endorsed a radical leftist who wants to turn the US into China, Venezuela, or worse, California.

So yes, for the next month, we will endure fawning press coverage of two RINOs who will not leave the party. It’s not like they can play the McCain model, they got no vote to sell to the highest bidder, and neither could be elected dog catcher now. But again, let’s just call this what it is, political opportunism at its worse.

When Ms. Cheney walked out on the stage with Ms. Harris, there was a sign “Country over Party.” Pathetic. If she loved this country, in no way would she vote for Harris. If anything, vote third party or write in. Then again, Cheney is looking to her future (not yours), and she wants to be graced by the powers in The Swamp who want a Democrat in. Now Harris would be Obama’s fourth term (and possibly fifth). As much destruction he’s done in 12 of the last 16 years, we cannot stand another term.

Now to both Cheney and Kinzinger, I’ll simply say good riddance. Your endorsements will not change one vote (the Republicans who would never vote for Trump will not change, nor will the voters of Texas on Trump or Cruz). So as your political careers die too slow a death, I will speak on the behalf of millions of Americans not wanting the disaster of Democratic Party rule. Just leave.

Perhaps you can become an administrative assistant on K-Street. Or if that doesn’t work, McDonald’s is hiring. Then again, honest work doesn’t suit you.

    • Well put, sir. Sometime back I was discussing these two morons with a few liberal friends of mine, my comment was “Benedict Arnold was a great patriot. Until he stabbed his country in the back.“ They didn’t like that.
