Carville Sold Me on the Big Beautiful Bill

I’ve always considered James Carville little more than a rhetorical bomb thrower for the propaganda ministry of the Democrat party. Well, he’s out throwing bombs again and doesn’t seem to care that his reputation is well within the blast zone.

Whenever the Dem brand starts to look a bit unattractive – like when reality happens to intrude on the narrative – the lefties ring up the “Ragin Cajun” to provide a little performative art. Carville then books himself on one of the fake news networks and goes to work distracting voters from reality with volume rather than reason.

When President Bush was riding a bit too high in the polls after kicking Iraq out of Kuwait, the Dems had the bald Gollum from Louisiana make the rounds screaming “It’s the economy stupid” until everyone was convinced the banks were about to fail.

When “Slick Willy” got caught with his pants down in the Oval Office – literally not figuratively – they sent James out to do damage control. He called every woman groped by our horndog in the White House “trailer trash” as if that excuses our “lecher in chief” for skipping over that “thou shalt not commit adultery” thingy.

In fact, Carville’s past performances have led me to believe that the Democrat party’s premier loud mouth is a perfect reverse barometer. The more animated James becomes, the more likely it is that he’s trying to distract everyone from something the Dems don’t want the voters to see. That’s why I figure that President Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill is going to be better for America than I originally realized – because James has hit the boost button on his invective generator and his mouth is moving so fast, I can hardly keep up with the lies prevarications.

James went on CNN to talk with Anderson Cooper. He complained that because of the bill, the rich would get richer, and the middle class would lose health care. He proceeded to predict that Trump’s legislative triumph would be an electoral bonanza for the Democrats. He said:

Every Democrat, regardless of the ideology or their ethnicity or their regional—we can all rally around this. And we can run on this single issue all the way to 2026. And Paul is right, we’re going to pick up more than 40 House seats, I can tell you …

A lot of them (Republicans) are going to be extinct when people go to the polls, voting for this. I promise you. This thing is like 25, 26 points underwater already, and we haven’t even started our education program.

Of course, by “education program” James means “propaganda psyop.”

James is so certain the Big Beautiful Bill is going to benefit the Democrats; it rather makes one wonder why Hakeem Jeffries put his own caucus to sleep with an 8-hour rant against the bill – no?

But James has never been one who knows when it’s time to stop talking, and proceeded to violate the cardinal rule of propaganda – for it to work, propaganda must be credible. Mr. “No Edit Function” proceeded to undermine his whole argument, with an obvious lie during an appearance on the Politics War Room podcast:

It (the BBB) holds the distinction of being the most unpopular, on passage, the most unpopular piece of legislation in the history of the United States Congress.

But as every consumer of health care knows, Obamacare was, and remains, the most unpopular piece of legislation in the history of the United States Congress. So, his rant is just James being James – using four letter words and personal attacks in lieu of actual analysis, while hoping the voting public doesn’t see see the difference. The Dems are desperate that everyone not notice that the only people being denied Medicaid are people who shouldn’t be in the country, and the economy is going to boom in response to making the tax cuts permanent.

But the Dems should have realized that when James gets his mouth going, it’s a bit like letting Joe Biden navigate a stage without a handler – something unexpected (and usually bad) is going to happen. On the podcast, the unexpected was James Carville saying:

People Who Think Trump Won’t Postpone The 2026 Elections Are “F*cking Fools.

Which leaves us to consider three possibilities:

  1. James was gaslighting when he said the Dems would gain 40 seats in the midterm election,
  2. James has used sound political analysis to conclude that the President, who has complied with every court order, is going to go around the bend and cancel elections next year, or
  3. James is just as senile as Joe Biden, and thinks tossing around f-bombs is the way to win hearts and minds.

But James’ ranting has clarified one thing for certain – he is now just a loudmouth old fool, trying to remain relevant to a world that no longer cares about his opinion. He joins the alphabet news networks and the legacy newspapers in the wasteland of useful idiots who are no longer useful.
