The Sanctuary

They traveled north, toward a network of believers operating off-grid near the UP. Caleb’s father had mentioned it in his last encrypted message before disappearing.

The Sanctuary was real—a deep-woods commune of faith, tech sabotage, and survival training. Ex-intel officers. Homeschool families. Preachers with sidearms.

Pastor Elaine led the group, a woman of scripture and fire. “This war isn’t just military,” she told Caleb. “It’s about image. Worship. Allegiance.”

Caleb trained their youth. Rue drilled their sentries. Andrew reinforced their firewalls.

One night, Andrew pulled Caleb aside. “The world you’re fighting for… it might not survive. But truth can. If we do this right, we become the remnant.”
