Whether It’s Touting Violence Or Confusing The Military, You Can Count On them
One of the more peculiar expenses associated with the democratic choreographed 6 Jan Russia, Russia, Russia Insurrection Shambola Committee included expenses for a television producer to put together the propaganda video of the affair. Because nothing says truth, justice and the American way like a propaganda video presenting selected clips and testimony to spray manure on your followers. From the start of this nonsense, I labeled it a New York and California orchestrated made for TV drama.
A typical House Select Committee costs about 6M a year on average. This one cost 17.6M, almost double the projected costs largely because of the effort to create somewhat of a mini-series, docudrama like a classic documentary in order to propagandize the public on the horror of that day which democrats strived to compare to 9-11, Pearl Harbor and the burning of the White House in ~1812-1814.
The theme was of a horrific affair where these United States barely survived an apparent coup attempt, er, against the sitting president an election democracy itself! NARA itself was only too glad to help things along.
The democrats are somewhat like a cornered, wounded animal whenever they are out of power. Desperate to do something-anything-to get attention and to show their base they are engaged and on the case: ready to take back power on a moment’s notice.
The political docudramas have become a tool of the left in recent years: nothing says “sincerity” and “on it like Clouseau” like a pithy, action-oriented video displaying serious people and tough talk. When the democrats are on their backfoot in terms of political messaging and results, we can count on them to look straight into the camera and spout sincere nonsense as if talking to children.
The latest version includes a call to United States military and intelligence personnel to “ignore illegal orders.” Congressman Jason Crowe (D-CO) insists this is about providing “moral clarity” but it is nowhere to be found in this interview or this video. Before getting into too much analysis on another ridiculous propaganda fail by congressional democrats-the modern version of Wiley Coyote-I wanted to touch lightly on a few points.
The biggest point to be made is how ignorant and out of touch our congress has become in the era of Trump. This “malady” has been accurately described as Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) Stage IV. The video is by representatives who are obviously serving right now but also have military and civilian service (CIA) in their backgrounds: they all share in common the commitment to an oath of office to the constitution.
There is a lot of room for personnel expression, innovative leadership and flexibility in the way you conduct yourself as a federal civil servant bound by an oath of office that you swear to-particularly in congress-which is done under conditions where no person is holding a gun to your head to force you to do so against your will. They run for office, get elected to represent their constituents and swear an oath governing their actions.
Lord knows we’ve seen all types of expressions in congress from Parrot haired to those who state allegiance to other countries-leaders kneeling for political causes-antisemites-racists-pedophiles-sincere liars-crooks-thieves-delusional and confused shemales-there is no actual limit or litmus test on sanity or common sense. You and I go through extensive and exhaustive background checks to get approved for access to classified information necessary to do certain jobs: congress simply gets approved.
The “griping my arse” part of a propaganda laden, crassly political, irresponsible video like this from people who should know better is the target of their message, but more importantly the message itself. The bottom line of which is the deliberate insinuation-the sly blurring-of the definition of a legal-and illegal-order.
The very notion that a serving congressman would introduce ambiguity into the chain-of-command directed at military and civilian personnel-not leaders, not leadership-but individuals-warrants action on the part of our government to condemn this propaganda.
There is a difference in the military oaths whereby enlisted have a specific clause addressing orders: “…that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice…”
Military and civilian personnel have annual, mandatory yearly training that addresses the topic these fools addressed: they don’t need reinforcement from congress to ensure they understand and abide by their oaths. There is a very clear and distinct difference between lawful and unlawful (legal and illegal) orders that is the topic and subject of training.
This reference (above) does a very good job of highlighting the angst I have with this publicity stunt by congress people who should know better. There is a career-ending difference between what a military or civilian so-called poop-house lawyer might consider an illegal order and an actual illegal order. In a pinch it comes down to-surprise-the law.
Should congress be truly concerned about this matter they should certainly address those concerns to the Trump Administration leaders. Which they actually have-and it exposes evidence of TDS Stage IV for the public to see. In this clip of one of these congressman questioning Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, the apparent most important issue to talk about is an issue “read in a book” where the President supposedly asked about a security option/rules of engagement (ROE) issue that would involve shooting rioters in the leg.
Whether such a conversation ever took place or not-as described by a certified TDS Stage IV top ranking Army officer in a tell all book-is somewhat beside the point being made here. I mean that from the standpoint that ROE are explicit and established in advance of any security related effort. We can opine that we would never have a case where military-or civilian-security forces would ever be given weapons free permission to fire at a crowd under any circumstances.
But it happened at Kent State and Jackson State University in 1971, and-lest we forget-it happened to the large but typically peaceful crowd on January 6 where security fired munitions meant to alert and warn crowds through engagement of limbs-with the standard operating procedure calling for aiming at legs-at the heads of the crowd at near point blank range.
The Vietnam era related shootings were a shock to the nation. What was worse was the failed accountability in the final analysis for exactly how it happened: who was in charge, who issued live ammunition, who had the authority to authorize the most extreme clause of the operative ROE, etc.
The firings on the crowd on 6 Jan were just as shocking, engaging a crowd at point-blank range contained in a near fish bowl with no place to go-enraging the crowd and causing the apparent desired effect of inflaming them to react: by an undermanned force that had no possibility of containing such a crowd, should they be angered to the point of fighting out of their containment.
Who does that?
The details of an operation’s ROE is one of the most important planning factors of all. Which is why there was considerable consternation when the raid on Trump’s residence revealed that the DOJ approved a no-notice affair with armed officers who did not contact Trump’s Secret Service detail, Mar-a-Lago security or his lawyers. The raid order included provisions for deadly force in the ROE.
Somewhat veiled within this congressional message to disobey “illegal or unlawful” orders is a pledge of support to those who use democrat logic in their interpretation of the lawful nature of the orders. To wit, Jason Crowe has been very vocal in Colorado about not characterizing illegal aliens-which is the congressionally approved lawful terminology-as such but to call them some form of immigrants or migrants. If some wing nut military or civilian buys into this narrative they potentially go down the slippery slope that since these are migrants or immigrants-therefore not illegals-who may also be here on some type of authorized government asylum related “parole or amnesty,” then our government has no business accosting or otherwise detaining those people because “they have a right to be here.”
And how would the average soldier or civil servant know? Now, disregard the fact that these may be ANTIFA or BLM supporters or illegals waving foreign flags and foreign supporting dress who are gathering and rioting to prevent lawful government activity from taking place like enforcement of immigration policy.
Also disregard how most in congress-particularly democrats-were nowhere to be found when military and civilian service personnel were “sacked” for refusing to take experimental, untested vaccines that were known not to prevent anything-no video was produced on that matter, nobody counseled the military about taking action.
The truth is that when democrats speak loudly calling for in effect social justice warriors to act-miscommunication and stupidity happens because such calls reach the weakest among us who are easily duped and influenced by such idjiotcy.
Remember this guy? SGT Beau Berdahl. How about this one? PV2 Travis King. This one? Bradley Richard (Chelsea) Manning. Another political leak and here. Same same. Supreme Court leaker. Shooter at congressional baseball practice.
One of the conflicting signals sent when congress speaks directly to individuals with this propaganda is that ordinary people who are susceptible to it and willing to contort themselves twister-like in support of their politics assume there are a range of defense options to justify their actions. Whether couched in terms or lawful/unlawful, legal/illegal, status as a whistleblower, etc., etc. There is often a very fine line being trod in these matters and the state of mind-attitude-political beliefs and acts-matter very much in the final analysis.
Jason Crowe in particular-is embarrassingly enough-former military and one of our Colorado Congressmen. He has been consistent and dogmatic in his attempts to undermine DHS/ICE by insisting on no-notice visits to ICE facilities as if there is nothing going on that would require some advance notice.
He also was very vocal getting on board with the messaging from Colorado Gov Mr. Potato Head Polis that problems with Tren De Aragua in Aurora were republican talking points. Crowe met with Venezuelan citizens in Aurora (his constituents) and explained to them that they were the victims of racism, not crime. Which turned out to be at the very least inconvenient and at worse, political malfeasance and criminality considering that the problems started in late 2023 and were covered up for over a year by local officials until it could not be ignored any more. The third one that follows might be might be the best Baghdad Bob imitation ever. Here, Here, here.
Crowe maintained there was “nothing to see here” in Aurora as the authorities moved in to seize control of three apartments taken over by gangs where the occupants were being openly terrorized by gangs: it was only a few apartments…
That is not the guy you want advising military and civilians about legal and illegal or lawful and unlawful orders. Listening to his propaganda and bullspit on the Aurora gang apartment takeovers would have Colorado citizens-and illegal aliens-subject to violence, mayhem, theft and murder-up to the present-time.
I can’t leave this article without mentioning la cringe de la cringe. Remember this goofy Dem video-after taking the Bad Orange Man to task for talking about fighting, the dems released this Onion or Babylon Bee wanna be video that is one of the cringiest among the cringy featuring dems willing to “fight, fight, fight!”
Dems keep trying to convince voters they are looney but republicans always seem to help ease them off the hook.
