Czechoslovakia is furious. They have just been sold out by Britain, France, Italy and Germany to give up a slice of their territory. These nations didn’t ask the Czechs if they wanted to give up the Sudetenland. It was just a fait accompli. It was done for the good of Europe, to appease a madman who kept demanding more territory, and done by nations who were pledged to protect Czechoslovakia….
…oops, sorry. I really meant to talk about Greenland, and how NATO’s Secretary General Mark Rutte made some kind of deal with President Trump to hand over parts of Greenland to the United States for military bases, with mineral rights apparently added for good measure.
Greenland is part of Denmark. The Danish government nor its people were not consulted. The people in Greenland were not asked. Rather, this is being pushed on them from “above,” by their friends and allies, the United States, Britain, France, Germany, and apparently Italy as well. And what authority does Rutte have over Denmark? He just trumped (no pun intended) the authority of that fervent Globalist from Germany, Ursula von der Leyen, who is the President of the European Union Commission. I would be furious if I were her!
This is a sad day, and many don’t realize what is happening. Article 5 of the NATO alliance is meant to protect member states, placing them under an umbrella of collective security if one is attacked. But what is a NATO member supposed to invoke if nations within their own alliance decide to dismember it?
Denmark is now experiencing their own version of the Munich Agreement, 1938. They are watching their nation being torn asunder, courtesy of Donald Trump and lackeys in Europe.
The rationale? To avoid a threatened 10%, and soon to be 25%, United States’ tariffs on EU nations. To avoid military action by the United States against Denmark and Greenland. To avoid the dissolution of NATO.
David Blair of Britain’s Daily Telegraph laid it out, in large measure correctly. “If we don’t do it the easy way, we’re going to do it the hard way”1 This was Trump’s threat. Blair’s argument is that, while the deal is awful the alternative is worse… American military action against a NATO ally, which would be the end of NATO. And thus, at the end of his article, Blair states that “if Denmark makes this sacrifice, it will be acting for the sake of the rest of us. We should be grateful.”
Dear reader… please read that again and think it through. How is that much different from Czechoslovakia making such a sacrifice for the rest of us? Countries have agreed to sell territory in the past, but in this case Denmark and Greenland, consolidated and organized nations, were not even consulted or asked. Rather, the United States threatened and bullied the key leaders in Europe to hand over territory that belonged to a fellow alliance member.
In 1938, this was called appeasement…..
What we are witnessing in real time is a reenactment of the Munich Conference of 1938. The same nations that carved up Czechoslovakia to appease Nazi Germany are the same nations who are carving up Denmark… but now to appease the United States. But there is a unique difference… most of the people living in the Sudetenland were Germans, and so Hitler could at least make some logical claim to the region. What do Greenlanders have to do with the United States?
Let’s make sure we understand what is really going on here. It’s not about “security” against a Russian and Chinese (!) threat on Greenland, or even North America. It’s about securing resources to help underwrite our massive debt. Meanwhile, Rutte is standing before the Davos crowd, waving his hand and saying “peace in our time.”
For many years, our political left have slammed Donald Trump as a Fascist and Nazi, the very reincarnation of Hitler. With this maneuver… and it will go through and come to pass… Trump has just given the Left the very ammunition it needs.
Indeed, if I were to run any of the near-future campaigns of the left, I would take Trump’s recent actions, fashion it into a political ball bat, and smash the heads of every MAGA candidate running for office… repeatedly. Over and over again, my campaign ads would say, “we told you he was like Hitler… we told you he was a Nazi and Fascist… and now he has himself proven it in spades, imitating his Nazi idol in his own version of the Munich Agreement! So, vote for me, the moderate, as the next Democrat Governor of… Virginia.”
Of course, if you are paying attention, many in Virginia are screaming that the recently elected Governor of Virginia, Democrat and CIA operative Abigail Spanberger, has already demonstrated she’s a leftist kook, even though she ran as a “moderate” in contrast to that conservative “nutcase” Winsome Earle-Sears.
And so…Donald J. Trump… J’accuse! You have single-handedly destroyed the MAGA movement. You have snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. The big question now: did you do so because your are just that vane and needed to have your enormous ego stroked… or did you do it purposely to demoralize and destroy the revival of American citizenry, rising up against elite, Globalist Neocons? Hmmmmm….
The Democrats have of late been on the ropes, but no more. They will run as moderates against the newly labeled “Nazi MAGA” group… and yet once elected, will out-Nazi any of the MAGA candidates they ran against.
Even worse, many in MAGA are cheering this on, oblivious to the historical nuances and where it’s taking us.
But the typical American won’t see or understand this. They will, once again, fall into the trap. And then we will rinse and repeat, until the United States is thoroughly plundered and destroyed…
…all for a fistful of minerals in Greenland.
