How And When The Ambiguity Circus Came To Town And Why The Truth Is Insinuated By The Central Cast
Part 1 detailed the actions of Abraham Zapruder getting his JFK Assassination Film processed up through the time that he relinquished control of the original film negative and three certified copies to Life Magazine and the Secret Service (SS) in Dallas, Texas 24 November 1963.
Part 2 introduced the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA,) National Photographic Interpretation Center (NPIC,) building 213, Washington Navy Yard in DC, which performed analysis of what was believed to be the original Zapruder Film in processed Kodak 8mm roll film format by one team, while a second team-unknown to the first-later analyzed a 16MM film and produced a different product.
Part 3 detailed how the US government-either the Secret Service, or the CIA (psst, it was the CIA) or a combination of the two conducted somewhat of a compartmented or double-blind operation, while introducing some of the basic questions or problems about the Zapruder Film that call into question whether it was altered and why.
Where we’ve gotten to in the narrative-without opening the discussion to what was covered by my other article series that was concerned with examining the evidence that debunked the lone gunman theory-is more evidence indicating a government coverup of the facts and evidence.
It is clear the Secret Service (SS) moved quickly in pursuit of the Zapruder Film-and not in a way that clarified the events of that day. Clearer is the immediate energetic involvement of the CIA byway of NPIC and the Kodak Hawkeye Works in Rochester.
There is simply no way the SS gains access to NPIC without an introductory call from Director to Director: CIA McCone to NPIC Director Lundahl. The CIA either let the SS be the “bagmen” here or it was actually CIA in both cases.
Even if it was SS it does not happen without CIA leadership facilitating access, particularly to Rochester: if it even happened.
The much bigger and indicting issue is the fact that the Warren Commission never knew about the entire NPIC effort: Warren did extensive viewing and analysis of the available films for a week or more: Zapruder, Nix, and Muchmore. NPIC does not appear in the Warren Report-at least the print, unclassified version.
But whereas the SS and CIA apparently went immediately to NPIC to have experts analyze the film, neither of the agencies brought up that detail in Warren testimony.
NPIC does not show up in Warren: neither does Kodak’s Hawkeye Works.
But we don’t want to start on what didn’t make it into Warren. Jack Ruby does not have an established relationship with Oswald in Warren: they did not know each other. From Warren:
These additional considerations are thus fully consistent with the results of the Commission’s investigation. Rumors of a connection between Ruby and Oswald have proved groundless, while examination of Ruby’s background and associations, his behavior prior to the assassination, and his activities during the November 22-24 weekend has yielded no evidence that Ruby conspired with anyone in planning or executing the killing of Lee Harvey Oswald.
In Warren’s world, Carlos Marcello does not own “Ruby’s Club”: Marcello is not mentioned at all. Oswald’s Uncle Charles “Dutz” Murret is mentioned twice in Warren: he was a numbers runner for Marcello. Oswald often drove his uncle’s car. But in Warren Oswald is such a dolt he cannot drive an automobile.
Did Warren do a deep dive on the uncovered assassination plots in Chicago and Miami as the prelude to Dallas?
I wrote a JFK Sources And Methods focused article that centered on five somewhat mysteries of life related to the JFK Assassination and added a sixth that is the most important in consideration of the NPIC activity. Many came from the History Channel series, the Men Who Killed Kennedy.
I did not address the Zapruder anomalies nor the NPIC effort at the time because there were just too many loose ends that did not make sense. Were I to redo that article I would add NPIC to the list to get to seven and eight.
Those mysteries include the actions of Richard Case Nagel and Oswald, and the books of Edward T. Haslam, whose father was on the medical staff alongside renowned cancer expert Dr. Alton Ochsner, about the mysterious death of world-famous cancer researcher Dr. Mary Sherman that led to the discovery of a particle accelerator.
There is the strange tale of Judyth Vary Baker, an aspiring cancer researcher who was in New Orleans in the midst of “schtuff” in that critical summer of 1963: Arranged by Dr. Ochsner. Judy’s book is an exhaustive, extensively documented story of her involvement with many of the central characters, including David Ferrie, Dr. Mary Sherman, Dr. Alton Ochsner, Oswald, Ruby and others.
Then there are the tentacles of Carlos Marcello. A “Don,” mob, mafia, syndicate leader of the oldest such organization in the US with a territory spanning from points east to Louisiana to Texas and westward. Running an organization that was making nearly a billion dollars a year in the late 1950s and early sixties. Characterized by Hoover’s FBI as mere “tomato farmer.”
A man who had a deportation order dictated by the Eisenhower administration. Who was in effect, kidnapped from an immigration office in New Orleans and flown to Guatemala-dropped off under RFK’s deportation order-in which he made good on his threat to “use their own tactics against them.”
I added a sixth mystery of life to this list in the form of Tom Wilson and his book “A Deeper, Darker Truth.” Tom’s somewhat happenstance and near inadvertent assassination work came later in the story and is not for everybody. Those not trained in the scientific approach using photonics, photogrammetry and manipulation of wave lengths to evaluate subject material find it somewhat dry and difficult to assimilate.
Tom Wilson’s work may be the only credible, clinical, scientific, nothing but the facts evidence of what went down that day in Dealy Plaza. His effort touches nearly every aspect of and undoes many of the faux facts that others rely upon to construct the lone gunman BS. His journey of discovery through the assassination photonic evidence is remarkable. Perhaps more astounding is how conclusive such evidence can be in the right hands.
Nobody has the time nor the inclination to spend several years of their life going through these references.
Tom Wilson’s work is worth a look because he was not part of the JFK Assassination scene until he inadvertently stumbled upon it and provided proof that the Zapruder Film had been altered. He also discovered the JFK limousine was in the wrong spot in the Zapruder Film and that the fatal shot came from the sewer drain, not from the Grassy Knoll. He did so by going to Dealy Plaza and overlaying a datum over the key landmarks and attempting to rectify-to fit-the events in time and place on that datum: things don’t fit unless the limousine is moved to a different position.
The difference between the NPIC work done by Dino Brugioni and his colleagues and that of the later Tom Wilson effort represents the contrast between the end of the era of the analog and the birth of the digital worlds: the science up through the early seventies and the revolution in technique that began in the mid-to late 1970s in the military with the Digital Imagery Test Bed-Demonstration System at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
So-called soft copy exploitation where photo interpreters exploited pixel data on computers vice the classic hard copy film exploitation of light tables. A stark contrast in technique that reflects how the discipline has changed over time as analog methodologies morphed into and upgraded to digital pixel exploitation and a multi-phenomenology environment that encompasses spectral sources that require a data science approach to make sense of sensed objects.
Brugioni and crew had to deal with the images presented and the use of supporting information-often augmented through academic research and other sources like human intelligence and signals intelligence. Many photo interpreters of this era learned Soviet Military jargon, doctrine and Russian terms for weapon systems and routinely read foreign military journals. Learned much of their knowledge-expertise away from the light table where they plied their craft. An example is this article that discusses Russian river crossing and maneuver tactics, somewhat useless knowledge today that is like the back of my hand.
Whereas Wilson’s technique was not based on intelligence skills, training and domain subject expertise, but more on technical skills and the optimization of computers in the interpretation of sensed data. There is no training in assassination footage exploitation other than the basic, scientific, analytic methodology.
Wilson’s work is very much like modern Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) where photons are generated that have inherent X, Y, Z locational data somewhat coded-in, which enables a similar capability to that of radar to peek through and poke through obscurants like trees. Only with a somewhat unique capability to enable the removal of data layers to strip away things like trees in order to observe what is beneath them.
Which is why modern radars in fighters and ground and space systems have advanced the art-performance-tremendously over legacy systems through the use of electronically scannable or steerable array technology where algorithms assist operators in beam and energy management to extend effective ranges for target tracking and engagement.
I will close with Judyth Vary Baker’s book, which is the most surprising of the mysteries I listed above. Her book is huge and so detailed it is almost 1000 pages, but in my view it is what makes her book valuable. She relates myriad, somewhat mindless detail in the telling of her story-which can be a barrier to entry in getting her overall message. But that detail is what in the end carries the day and makes it compelling in that nobody in their right mind could create such detail through imagination alone, nor go through the trouble to produce receipts throughout as evidence of the experience.
Her relationship with Oswald-they were lovers for a time-is a surprise. As is her work on fast acting cancers under Dr. Ochsner in an RFK sponsored program with sights on Cuba and Castro that ties to the earlier mentioned Ed Haslam’s Mary’s Monkey book.
The bottom line at this point in the JFK Assassination is there is more than enough evidence to point to the conspiracy that took out JFK. There is also no doubt that there was a government led cover-up that identified Oswald as the patsy that could not have been accomplished without the concerted efforts of the leaders of our government.
In particular LBJ, J Edgar Hoover, John McCone and Allen Dulles. It started with the Zapruder film, continued with the slap dash autopsy, gained momentum with the Hoover provided Oswald reference material and was intended to culminate in the Warren Commission. Which could have been called, “Oswald did it:” he is mentioned in the report 4,905 times.
There remain some several dozen anomalies-aberrations-unresolved issues or questions that might never be answered-but that’s what makes it such a great mystery.
A good starting point for any who want to dip a toe in the JFK Assassination corpus of knowledge is to go easy on yourself and start with the History Channel, Men Who Killed Kennedy Series: and yes they mean “men.” I summarized this CD set in a previous article.
These references are available for those who want to pursue the information and come to their own conclusions.
Far easier is to find The History Channel series on the topic called “The Men Who Killed Kennedy.” Fair warning that many believe they have already seen this series. There are two versions of the series that were released due to lawsuits and pressure that trimmed the final version from 9 to 6 parts.
The most shocking or revealing episodes include the detail about Lyndon Johnson and the allegations in a book written by one of his lawyers who also detailed the infamous “ballot Box 13 election cheating,” and the story about Oswald’s lover Judyth Vary Baker, as well as the Tom Wilson effort.
