I teach science for a living. I assign homework. I make students show their work. And when a student gives me an answer that makes absolutely no logical sense, I circle it in red and write the same thing every time:
“Show me your reasoning.”
Iran just showed us their reasoning. And before I explain what it means scientifically, I need to address the narrative being pumped out by people who are either genuinely confused or are counting on YOU being confused.
This is not Israel’s war.
Say it again. Let it land. THIS IS NOT ABOUT ISRAEL.
Iran has a name for Israel. They call it “the Little Satan.” You know what they call us?
THE GREAT SATAN.
We are not the supporting act in Iran’s hatred. We are the HEADLINER. We have been the headliner since November 4th, 1979 — the day Iranian students stormed the United States Embassy in Tehran and took 52 AMERICAN citizens hostage for 444 days. Israel was not in that embassy. Americans were. That was day one of a war Iran declared on us that we spent 46 years pretending was not happening.
So when someone on your timeline tells you Operation Epic Fury is “fighting Israel’s war,” ask them this one simple question: then why did Iran spend 46 years chanting “Death to AMERICA?”
THE AMERICAN BODY COUNT IRAN HOPES YOU FORGET
I am going to give you the ledger. Not the abstract version. The real one. These are AMERICANS killed by a regime whose official government policy is our destruction.
April 1983. Beirut. Iranian-backed Hezbollah bombs the United States Embassy. Sixty-three dead. Seventeen AMERICANS.
October 1983. Same city. Six months later. A truck bomb collapses the Marine barracks in four seconds. Two hundred and forty-one AMERICANS. Two hundred and twenty Marines. Eighteen Navy. Three Army. Most of them asleep. Iran planned it. Hezbollah executed it. Different names. Same chain of command. Same regime.
June 1996. Khobar Towers, Saudi Arabia. Nineteen AMERICAN airmen killed. Three hundred and seventy-two wounded. A U.S. federal court later ruled Iran legally responsible. Not suspected. Not alleged. RULED. Legally established by an American court. We wrote a strongly worded letter and moved on.
2003 to 2011. Iraq. Iranian-backed militias, supplied with Explosively Formed Penetrators — IEDs engineered specifically to punch through American armored vehicles — killed between 600 and 800 of our soldiers. Iran was not funding this in some abstract sense. They were PHYSICALLY SHIPPING WEAPONS across the border into a war zone where our kids were dying. Manufacturing. Transporting. Delivering. To kill AMERICANS.
January 2024. Jordan. Three more AMERICANS killed. Thirty-four wounded. Iranian proxy militia. Different name. Same IRGC playbook running since 1983.
And then there are the assassination plots against a sitting AMERICAN president. Not once. Twice. They are still, as of the beginning of this operation, threatening to put a bullet in his head.
The total American dead at Iranian hands: at minimum 1,000 to 1,500 citizens. Killed over 46 years by a regime whose government policy — printed on banners, chanted in government-organized rallies, stated openly in official press releases — is “Death to America.”
Israel did not send those Americans to those places. Iran killed them. For being American.
Still think this is about Israel?
NOW HERE IS THE SCIENCE PART. BRING A PENCIL.
During the Geneva negotiations, the United States put an offer on the table that was staggering in its generosity. We told Iran: if you want nuclear ENERGY for civilian purposes — power plants, hospitals, research reactors — we will give you enriched nuclear fuel.
Free.
Not for a year. Not for ten years.
FOREVER.
Free nuclear fuel. Forever. Zero cost. In exchange for one thing: stop enriching uranium yourself.
Iran said no.
I need you to sit with that before you read another word.
Here is why that answer matters, and why your television will not explain it to you. Raw uranium comes out of the ground at about 0.7% U-235 — the isotope that matters for either power or weapons. It is useless at that level for either purpose without processing. Enrichment concentrates the U-235.
Civilian nuclear power plants run on 3 to 5 percent enriched uranium. Research reactors go up to 20 percent. Both are legal. Both are monitored. Dozens of countries use both without a second thought from the international community.
Weapons-grade uranium is 90 percent enriched or above.
Before Operation Epic Fury, Iran had approximately 460 kilograms of uranium enriched to 60 PERCENT. I want to be very precise here because the number matters. Not 5 percent. Not 20 percent. SIXTY. There is no civilian nuclear application on earth — not one — that requires 60% enriched uranium. I cannot teach you one because it does not exist. And the technical leap from 60% to weapons grade is not a years-long project. It is a matter of WEEKS with the centrifuge infrastructure Iran had already built.
So when the United States walked into Geneva and said “we will give you all the fuel you need to run your civilian reactors, forever, at no cost”… a country with a LEGITIMATE civilian energy program takes that deal before the negotiator finishes the sentence. It solves every problem a real energy program faces. No enrichment costs. No international pressure. No sanctions. Just fuel. Free. Forever.
The only reason — the ONLY reason — to say no to that offer is if what you actually need is not the fuel. You need the ABILITY TO ENRICH. Because enrichment is not your energy strategy. It is your weapons program.
A senior U.S. official said it plainly: “We said we will give you free nuclear fuel forever. And they basically said that didn’t work for them. They needed to enrich uranium. And we basically said, well, that makes absolutely no sense.”
It makes perfect sense. Just not the sense Iran wants you to believe. They were not building a power grid. They were building a countdown clock. And the countdown was set for an address in Washington, D.C. — not Tel Aviv. America. The Great Satan. Us.
WHAT OBAMA AND BIDEN’S AUTOPEN ACTUALLY BOUGHT
The Obama administration flew $400 million in cash to Tehran on pallets. Unmarked plane. Middle of the night. Euros, Swiss francs, foreign currency. Then wired another $1.3 billion in thirteen separate transfers, each one kept deliberately just under the $100 million federal reporting threshold. That is not an accident. That is a METHOD. All of it in exchange for Iran promising to temporarily limit enrichment that they immediately continued anyway.
Then Biden’s Autopen unfroze over $100 billion in Iranian assets. Sanctions relief. Cash flow restored. Directly to a regime that spent every dollar on Hezbollah, Hamas, the Houthis, and the proxy militias that shipped IEDs across the Iraqi border to kill Americans wearing the uniform of this country.
Ninety percent of Hamas’s funding came from Iran. Ninety percent of Hezbollah’s. October 7th — 1,200 Israelis slaughtered, 250 taken hostage — was financed with those wire transfers. But do not lose sight of the through line. Iran funds Hamas because Hamas attacks Israel. Iran funds Hezbollah because Hezbollah attacks Israel. Iran funds the Houthis because the Houthis attack shipping lanes that supply the entire Western economic order.
Why does Iran do all of this? What is the goal? They will tell you themselves. It is not “wipe the Little Satan off the map” first. It is “Death to AMERICA” first. The Great Satan. The source of everything they hate about the modern world. Israel is the forward target. America is the objective. A nuclear weapon pointed at Tel Aviv is a proof of concept. A nuclear weapon pointed at an AMERICAN CITY is the doctrine.
That is what Obama’s pallets were funding. That is what Biden’s Autopen’s wire transfers made possible. And now, the people who signed those checks are standing at podiums expressing outrage that someone finally stopped the payment.
Quinn’s Law Number One applies here with a precision that would impress a physicist: liberalism ALWAYS generates the exact opposite of its stated intent. You tried to buy peace from a government whose official foreign policy is your destruction. You funded the weapons that killed American soldiers. You funded the October 7th massacre. You funded the assassination plots against an American president. Every. Single. Time.
THE PROOF THAT EVEN IRAN KNOWS THIS IS ABOUT AMERICA
Listen to what the Ayatollahs actually say. Not what American pundits say they say. What THEY say.
“Death to America.” Chanted at government-organized rallies. Printed on government buildings. Official policy of the Islamic Republic since 1979.
“America is the Great Satan.” Not a metaphor for American foreign policy. An official theological designation from Khomeini himself, carried forward by every supreme leader since. In their framework, America is the source of all corruption in the world. Israel is a tool of that corruption. But the SOURCE is us.
They have tried to assassinate an American president. They seized an American embassy. They bombed American Marines in their sleep. They built bombs designed specifically to penetrate American military vehicles. They spent 46 years telling anyone who would listen exactly who their enemy is.
And some Americans looked at all of that… and called this Israel’s war.
Those Americans are either not paying attention, or they are choosing to look away. Because believing this is about Israel is a much more comfortable position than believing a regime with nuclear ambitions has had a picture of your country on its dart board since before most of the people reading this were born.
THE IRANIAN PEOPLE ALWAYS KNEW IT TOO
When Khamenei was killed, the Iranian people went into the streets. Not to mourn. To CELEBRATE.
Women walking outside with uncovered faces and hair showing in public for the first time in 46 years. Women who knew that Mahsa Amini was beaten to death by the morality police in 2022 for a strand of hair. Who knew the price. Who walked outside anyway because the thing that would have gotten them killed was finally gone.
They were not celebrating for Israel. They were celebrating for themselves. Eighty-five million people who have been the regime’s first and oldest victims. The regime that claims to hate America and Israel oppresses its own people FAR more comprehensively and personally than it has ever been able to reach either of us.
The Great Satan was not the enemy of the Iranian people. The regime that named us the Great Satan was.
SINCE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT WHAT AMERICA OWES ITS OWN
While Congress debates whether defending American national security against a regime that has killed 1,500 Americans over 46 years is appropriate… approximately 50,000 combat-wounded American veterans — medically retired before twenty years because their bodies were broken in uniform — are still having their earned retirement pay taken dollar for dollar by a government offset.
Biden’s Autopen found over $100 billion for the regime killing Americans. Congress cannot find the will to stop stealing from the Americans those weapons broke.
The Major Richard Star Act — S.Amdt.4056 in the current appropriations bill — fixes this. It costs approximately $975 million per year. Tell your senator.
