The Democratic Party does not disagree with you. They do not have a competing vision for your future. They do not value different things. What they have is a MODEL — a deliberate, documented, decades-old machine — that requires you to be poor, scared, angry, and dependent. The moment you are not those things, you stop being useful to them.
I teach science for a living. I assign homework. I make students show their work. And when a student gives me an answer that makes absolutely no logical sense, I circle it in red and write the same thing every time:
“Show me your reasoning.”
Before you roll your eyes and scroll past, hear me out. I know what you are thinking. You have seen this kind of post before — some conservative calling liberals crazy and patting himself on the back for it. This is not that.
Before the coroner had finished, before a single family had been notified, before the police chief had even said the shooter’s name out loud, the same people who have been running the same play since Columbine were back on your timeline demanding GUN CONTROL.
Fine.
Let us talk about control.
I want to start with a grocery cart. Not a statistic. Not a chart. A cart. Somebody filmed one recently and the internet lost its mind over it, and I understand why, but almost everybody watching took away the wrong lesson.
I want to start with a confession. I do not watch The View. I have a job, a family of six, a stack of Anatomy quizzes to grade, and generally better things to do with an hour of my life than listen to five women agree with each other very loudly. But every so often the internet drags a clip across my desk that I simply cannot ignore, and this one has EVERYTHING — hypocrisy, genealogy, railroad tracks, and a lecture on privilege delivered by a woman who apparently skipped the chapter on her own family history. So grab some coffee. This is a long one, and it is worth it.
For the past two years I have watched politicians, pundits, and people who clearly skipped statistics class weaponize the same recycled set of misleading numbers about data centers and water use. AOC brought a jar of cloudy well water to a congressional hearing and implied a nearby data center poisoned it. Spoiler: it was construction sediment. The same sediment you get when they dig up the road in front of your house. Same physics. Different agenda. But facts are inconvenient when you have a camera and a talking point.
“I’m basically running a shadow government across the FBI at this point.” That is a real, declassified text message, sent by a real, named federal employee — Nikki Floris (also rendered “Flores” in some captions), then Deputy Assistant Director of the FBI’s Counterintelligence Division and, delightfully, the Bureau’s own designated election security lead for 2020. The colleague she sent it to did not respond with alarm. He responded with a smiley face and “you do what you have to do.” Hang in there.
Let me open with the sentence that is going to make several people very uncomfortable before I have even finished my coffee.
The minimum wage is a Jim Crow law. Not “Jim Crow adjacent.” Not “has some racist history if you squint.” An actual, documented, still-functioning mechanism for locking people out of the labor market and into government dependency — built by the same coalition, defended by the same party, and producing the same outcome it was engineered to produce a century ago.
I am a science teacher. So let me start with the one word in this entire disaster that made the hair on my arms stand up.
Experiment.
The mayor of New York City stood in front of a cheering crowd, gestured at a plan to build government-owned grocery stores with taxpayer money, and said — I am paraphrasing, but only barely — may the most affordable grocery store win. He called it a grand experiment. He looked at eight and a half million people and told them it was ABOUT TIME to run one.
This is not a modesty lecture. This is biology, and biology does not assign blame, it assigns mechanisms. The mechanism in question is the male brain’s relationship to visual stimuli, and once you understand it, the case for single-sex fitness spaces stops sounding like religious prudishness and starts sounding like basic risk management.
Dave and Sarah had committed the cardinal sin of being responsible adults. They owned a home. They had a car that was paid off. They had $3,200 in a savings account — money they’d been scraping together for years to have SOMETHING in case of emergency. And now the emergency was here, and the government said, “Sorry, you’re too rich for help.”
The Left insists Trump is subverting our government in ways no leader in human history ever has — while, in the very same breath, invoking the 25th Amendment because he is too incompetent to function. You cannot make this up.
