He needs a lawyer familiar with celebrities accused of spiking drinks and rape. Is Bill Cosby’s legal team available?
Forget Fang Fang, the Red Chinese honeypot he bang-banged in between marriages. The FBI may be closing in on Eric Swalwell for allegations of rape.
Channel 7 (ABC) in San Francisco broke the news on Wednesday:
The FBI seized former Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell’s electronic devices as part of an ongoing criminal probe, according to sources familiar with the situation.
Swalwell was served with a search warrant for his cellphone and other electronic devices while he was at San Francisco International Airport on Saturday night, according to sources, and agents served a search warrant at his Washington, D.C., home on Sunday.
Swalwell resigned from Congress in April after being accused of sexual misconduct and was about to face efforts by his colleagues to have him expelled from the House.
Swalwell had suspended his campaign for California governor the day before after the San Francisco Chronicle reported that an ex-staffer alleged that he sexually assaulted her twice when she was too intoxicated to consent.
I said may.
No excitement without an indictment. And even if he were formally charged by a grand jury, prosecutors would have to prove it in court.
But Swalwell said we should believe all women. Shall we take a trip down memory lane?
During Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination hearings, Swalwell said, “What are the chances that three or four women, independently, who never met each other would have similar experiences with one person? So either this person committed these horrific acts or he is the single unluckiest person in the world for these people to conspire and make up lies against him.”
Only one person formally appeared before the committee to accuse Kavanaugh of being less than a gentleman. That was Christine Blasey Ford. She could not give the time or the place where it occurred and her witness could not collaborate her story.
Senator Lindsey Graham stood up for Kavanaugh and got him confirmed by the Senate.
Still, Eric the Burden Swalwell said at the time, “I saw continued demeaning of victims of sexual assault, people who deserve to be heard, people who deserve their allegations to be investigated and a president who wants to rush this through. And so, for Brett Kavanaugh’s sake, if he is innocent, I hope tomorrow he opens his statement and says, ‘You know what? Bring in all the victims, all of them to be questioned.’ That will clear his name if he is indeed innocent.”
So much for the constitutional right to a fair trial and the requirement that a prosecutor prove the case. In a democracy, a mob decides who’s right. In a republic, a jury of one’s peers does.
Swalwell also said in 2024, “Donald Trump has been going around saying he’s going to easily beat Kamala Harris. Well, she’s heard this before from other sexual predators and rapists when she was Prosecutor Harris. And if he wants to know how this movie ends, he won’t have to look too far. But he’s going to have to go to a prison to find out, because she put away a lot of bad guys.”
I don’t know about rapists, but she sure was busy tossing potheads in prison. Via Grok:
Around 1,974 people were admitted to California state prison for marijuana- or hashish-related offenses during Kamala Harris’s tenure as California Attorney General (January 2011–January 2017), according to California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) data cited in fact-checks and reporting. This is the figure most often referenced in discussions of “marijuana cases” under her as AG; no comprehensive statewide total of all marijuana convictions (including misdemeanors, county jail, probation, or fines) attributable specifically to her office is publicly tracked in the same way.
Asked about opposing legalization of pot, she laughed and said, “That’s not true. Look, I joke about it, I have joked about it. Half my family is from Jamaica, are you kidding me?”
She also confirmed she had smoked marijuana in college, adding “And I inhaled. I did inhale.”
As did the 1,974 men and women she sent to prison for inhaling.
Trump spared the nation from electing two of the three worst presidential candidates in this century.
The FBI, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating Swalwell. LA and New York City are where the assaults allegedly took place.
But Democrats have his back. AP reported, “The office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg confirmed in April that it was investigating Swalwell after a former staffer told CNN and the Chronicle that Swalwell raped her at a hotel while he was in New York City for a charity gala in 2024. In a statement, Bragg’s office encouraged ‘survivors and anyone with knowledge of these allegations to contact our Special Victims Division.’”
It’s called running interference. A plea bargain to block federal prosecution means Governess Kathy Hochul can commute the sentence or even pardon him outright.
And the Last Refuge is skeptical, tweeting: “Unless something radical has changed recently inside the FBI, the main reason they would secure Swalwell’s devices is to bury them and protect DC interests!
“Likely the opposite of most hopes.”
Offered as evidence:
Hunter Biden laptop
Huma Abedin laptop
Anthony Weiner cell phones
Hillary Clinton phone(s) and laptops
Awan Brothers laptops (4) and phones
Seth Rich phone and laptop
Jeffrey Epstein, phones, laptops, hard drives
Stephen Craig Paddock phones and laptops
Syed Rizwan Farook/Tashfeen Malik cell phones
Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev phones and laptops.
Senator Bob Menendez, phones and laptops
And of course Thomas Crooks’ social media was scrubbed almost before he shot the president. And by almost, I mean probably.
But Swalwell may be in trouble. After all, he resigned and dropped out the governor’s race.
Meanwhile, his wife has taken their three children, taken off her wedding ring and taken off on a separation.
Maybe Fang Fang will take him back.
