My initial support of President Donald Trump was tepid at best. I didn’t think a man’s first public office should be the highest in the land. I was not sure of his commitment in multiple areas, including his primary campaign promise of securing the border.

But the alternative was staring into the abyss. Put another way, I did not vote for him in 2016. I voted against Mrs. Bill Clinton. Under no circumstances could she be allowed to select the replacement for Justice Antonin Scalia, continue the Iran-Nuke deal, and encourage Putin’s aggression. After eight years of Obama this country could not take another Democrat in office. So I remembers the wisdom of Dr. Sowell in my voting.

Contrary to 2016, in 2020 and 2024 I voted wholeheartedly for President Trump. He has secured the border, is executing the greatest deportation operation since the 50s, has nominated three overall good Supreme Court justices, among other accomplishments. But this will likely be the best, if underreported, accomplishment of his administration (emphasis mine):

Two Major Health-Care Systems Reach Agreement with DOJ to End ‘Gender-Affirming Care’ for Minors

​Two of the nation’s largest health-care systems — New York University Langone Hospitals (NYU) and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) — will no longer provide “gender-affirming care” to minors as part of an agreement with the Department of Justice.

The agreement, announced Friday by the DOJ, also requires the hospital systems to pay fines for allegedly violating federal law by performing harmful, life-altering procedures on children, though neither hospital admitted any wrongdoing as part of the agreement.

“The Department of Justice is fighting to protect our nation’s children and working tirelessly to reach agreements with hospitals to end so-called ‘gender affirming care’ for minors,” Attorney General Todd Blanche said in a statement. “Today’s resolutions send a clear message: hospitals that target children in these practices and then fraudulently obtain payment for the procedures will be held to account.”

NYU initially discontinued gender-transition services for minors earlier this year after the Trump administration threatened to withhold federal funding from the hospital.

Soon after taking office, President Trump directed the DOJ to launch a nationwide investigation into the “child gender-transition industry.” The ongoing investigation is focused on potential violations of the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and the False Claims Act, among other federal laws. Investigators across the Trump administration are also examining whether various hospital systems have engaged in fraudulent billing practices by using false diagnosis codes to secure payments from federal health-care programs and private insurers for otherwise uninsurable procedures…

I look at this and two things hit my mind. First, thank God Democrats are not in the Oval Office, this disgrace would not only be going on, it would be in overdrive. Not just children, but adults in Medicaid, conventional insurance, and the Veterans Administration. People who’ve read my articles in the past know my view on this. You want to mutilate yourself, and you’re an adult, fine. Do it on your own time, and your own dime.

Second, if anything shows how the medical profession has deteriorated in the last few decades, this does. “Doctors” (and anyone assisting in this abomination, yes nurses, anesthesiologists, shrinks) are a conspiracy to an atrocity. Not an exaggeration, you are sterilizing children like the Nazis in Germany (defective people) or mentally ill in over 30 states during the early-mid 20^th century.

I look at many on the left and I ask a simple question. Can we agree that mutilation of children is wrong? Is that too much for you to say, “No, let’s wait until they are old enough to vote before they can make a decision like this.” Studies show gender dysphoria is mainly among young women, and they grow out of it with time.

Yet too many liberals want to continue this barbarianism. I pray every Republican, Libertarian, or third-party candidate slams every Democrat with this horrific procedure. Cutting off the money supply is a first step. I want the people who conducted these procedures prosecuted and jailed. If you think you can make money by destroying children, you really don’t belong in medicine, or in free society.

In March 2025, I wrote a column on The Likely Most Important, Unknown Act Of President Trump’s First Day. On day one, President Trump ended the federal persecution of a whistleblower doctor at Texas Children’s Hospital. The hospital was conducting these atrocities, in spite of their denials. It amazes me we have to have to argue with liberals that dismemberment of children is wrong. I would ask Democrats to look at yourself and ask, “Do I really want to be in a party that supports this? “
