If I wanted to start a war – civil or otherwise – I’d:
- Spend a bunch of time preparing the battlespace by marshaling my forces and undermining those of my opponents.
- Launch an initial audacious attack, taking advantage of surprise.
- Declare war, with a healthy dose of rationalization for my aggression.
In fact, if I was starting a civil war, it would look remarkably similar to the events since Barack Obama promised to “fundamentally change America.” He just didn’t tell us that he meant by revolution.
In retrospect, it’s now obvious that Obama spent the 8 years of his administration on step 1; by making sure our institutions wouldn’t defend the Constitution which they are sworn to defend.
Using DEI as an excuse, Obama purged the DoD leadership ranks of anyone disloyal to his cause (i.e. loyal to the Constitution). He left the military infected with flag officers like Lloyd Austin, and Mark Miley – who even assured the Chinese he’d take their side in a conflict.
Obama weaponized the instruments of our federal bureaucracy.
- He used the IRS to financially crush conservative advocacy groups – the voice of his political opposition.
- He used the ATF to undermine our right to bear arms – those instruments necessary to resist tyranny. Under his guidance, the government even trafficked firearms to criminals, to build a case for gun control.
- He used the FBI to surveil Republican politicians, journalists, and private citizens, on a scale far greater than Watergate. Those efforts were used to create a hoax intended to affect an election.
- He used his “wingman” at the DoJ – Attorney General Eric Holder – to hide all of his subversive activities behind a curtain of executive privilege.
Most importantly, Barack Obama stoked the flames of envy and race to create internal conflict. Police were racists, black criminals were oppressed, and conservatives in flyover country were bitter rubes clinging to “guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them … to explain their frustrations.”
Such proclamations had one purpose: to dehumanize his opposition and create the hatred needed to fuel a civil war. He had prepped the battlespace for his quest to make America something very un-American.
The Obama “transformation” suffered a brief setback when his designated field marshal, Hillary Clinton, turned out to be less likeable than Donald Trump. But eventually Obama found a stooge with a convincing smile to do his dirty work, and the left dragged Joe Biden into the Oval Office with a combination of misinformation, and election shenanigans.
With the battle space prepared, Joe Biden launched Civil War 2.0 with the mobilization of his forces.
- He created a massive censorship regime to control the narrative.
- He imposed martial law to limit association.
- He tagged conservatives as domestic threats and tracked them with the FBI.
- He used the DoJ to prosecute his political opposition, interpreting laws in ways never intended.
And then came the audacious opening attack. On August 8, 2022, Joe Biden fired on Fort Sumter. He launched the first ever raid on a former President’s home. Participants in the raid were even authorized to use “deadly force” – against a former President, his family, and members of his Secret Service detail. With that, the insurrection had gone public, and it was time to declare war.
When the history books are written, every war needs a start date. For America’s second civil war, I suggest September 1, 2022. That’s when Joe Biden flew to Philadelphia and officially set brother against brother. Standing in front of an Independence Hall, bathed in blood red light, while flanked by ominous military guards. He called it his “Battle for the Soul of the Nation” speech. What I heard was a Battle for Control of the Nation speech.
Biden brazenly called his political opposition a threat to America, accusing those supporting the candidacy of Donald Trump of fomenting violence and undermining the Constitution. He even referred to those opposed to his agenda as “semi-fascists,” while encouraging their destruction.
Biden notably did not call on his followers to engage their opposition to win the debate of ideas. He demanded action, and his followers understood his use of the work “battle” to mean “kinetic action.” What has become known as Joe Biden’s Red Speech, was authorization for the radicals to act on the passions which Barack Obama had inflamed. The traitor who called himself President, stood in front of the building where our Constitution had been written, fanned the anger of his insurgents, and then shouted, “Charge!” And they did.
In the years since the Red Speech, the insurgents have
- Imprisoned thousands of MAGA Republicans for little more than crossing an invisible line on January 6, 2021;
- Arrested dozens of Trump confidants, applying laws in ways never intended;
- Attempted an assassination of a Trump appointed Supreme Court justice (Brett Kavenaugh);
- Indicted Donald Trump on 88 criminal counts;
- Disbarred lawyers representing Donald Trump;
- Attempted to assassinate Donald Trump … three times, wounding Trump and killing an innocent man in the first attempt;
- Murdered Charlie Kirk for the sin of debating conservative principles;
- Conducted numerous attacks on law enforcement with guns, vehicles, and improvised incendiary devices;
- Vandalized the businesses of Trump supporters;
- Surveilled Republican members of Congress;
- Swatted a sitting Supreme Court Justice (Amy Coney Barret); and
- Generally normalized political violence, using rioting to intimidate opponents into compliance.
Joe Biden’s Red Speech didn’t create our current civil unrest, but it was the formal announcement that Civil War 2.0 is underway.
The only remaining question is: How will patriots engage?
Will we take back our country by electoral means? Is that even possible given the level of ballot corruption which the pandemic ushered in?
Will we take back our country by Constitutional means? Article V of the Constitution enables the states to collectively, and peacefully, reign in our deep state. Unfortunately, only 20 states have expressed a willingness to use that option.
Or will the waiving of peaceful means to engage require a repeat of 1861?
Perhaps the Republicans resisting both the SAVE act, and an Article V convention, should consider the cost of the only alternative remaining to patriots in our “Battle for the Soul of a Nation.”
