Idaho Primaries: One Man’s Viewpoint

Editor’s Note: American Free News Network does not support individual candidates for public office. However it is one of our prime missions to provide a platform whereby citizens may discuss the attributes of various candidates for public office. Moreover, as we have seen in the past few election cycles, elected positions that are not normally a priority, such as Supervisor of Elections or School Board Member, are where many hidden decisions get made that affect us down the road. We need to pay attention to them also.

Dear Friends,

If you live in Idaho, Tuesday, May 17 is election day. This is the Idaho primary. If you plan to vote as a Republican you must be registered as a Republican.

Many people run for office who are wonderful people. They love America and they have a long history with a happy family and happy friends. However, since we have all been raised with a lot of socialist programming many of these otherwise great people have become big government politicians. They propose a good measure then expect the government to fund it.

If you have ever wondered why we keep electing great people only to have them turn against us once in office, the answer is that we do not really know them when we vote for them. We may like them a lot personally, but they have a dismal voting record.

Each one of us needs to look at the voting records of those running for office. The best source for information is the voting record shared by the Idaho Freedom Foundation.

Idaho Freedom Index – Idaho Freedom

Please click on the index. Note that the most constitutional legislators have a score of 100 or nearly 100, and those who have ignored the Constitution have scores usually below 60.

As far as the national legislators the best source is The New American Freedom Index.

Freedom Index – The New American

Just list the legislator about whom you are concerned and see their score. For instance, Mike Crapo who is running for Senate has a score of 66, which is not very good.

Idaho U.S. Senate: Senator Mike Crapo 66

Idaho U.S. House Dist 1: Representative Russ Fulcher 78

Idaho U.S. House Dist 2: Representative Mike Simpson 54

For Idaho Senate We support Ramont Thomas Turnbull

For Idaho Dist 1 We support Russ Fulcher

For Idaho Dist 2 We support Bryan Smith

If you do not live in Idaho do your own research on local candidates and check the New American Freedom Index for Congress.

You must do your own research and draw your own conclusions as far as voting is concerned. The following are our suggestions.

State Offices

Governor Janice McGeachin (see note 1 below)

Lt Governor Priscilla Giddings

Attorney General Art Macomber (see note 2 below)

Treasurer Julie Ellsworth

Controller Brandon Woolf

Secretary of State Dorothy Moon

Superintendent of Public Instruct Branden Durst

Kootenai County Coroner Dr. Duke Johnson

Kootenai County Treasurer Steve Matheson

Kootenai County Assessor Bela Kovacs

Kootenai County Clerk Jennifer Locke

Kootenai County Comm. Dist 2 Bruce Mattare

Kootenai County Comm. Dist 3 Leslie Duncan

State Rep Dist 2A Heather Scott

State Rep Dist 2B Dale Hawkins

State Rep Dist 3A Vito Barbieri

State Rep Dist 3B Jordan Redman

State Senate Dist 3 Doug “O” Okuniewicz

State Rep Dist 4A Joe Alfieri

State Rep Dist 4B Elaine Price

State Senate Dist 4 Ben Toews

State Rep Dist 5A Ron Mendive

State Rep Dist 5B Tony Wisniewski

State Senate Dist 5 Carl Bjerke

Note 1: We have chosen to support Janice McGeachin because she has supported the citizens of Idaho throughout the pandemic when the Governor was against her. Most of the other candidates running for Governor sound great, but most of the things they want to accomplish are actually up to the Legislature. The current Governor, Brad Little, has the support of the big donors, but he does not support the citizens of Idaho. Governor Little showed he was against us when he locked us down and refused to discuss the matter. Any vote for anyone except Janice McGeachin is a vote for Brad Little.

Note 2: I think without question that Art Macomber is the most conservative candidate running for Attorney General. The incumbent has shown repeatedly that he does not stand for the citizens of Idaho. Raul Labrador is a good man and a friend, but I do not believe he will stand when it is important to stand.

Print this out and take it with you when you vote.

Remember that the above are only suggestions. You have an obligation to be informed and to vote for the best candidate: the one who believes the Bible and supports the Constitution. I know most of those listed and believe they are the best ones for the position.
