Minneapolis police officers tasked with executing a search warrant in a lawless St. Paul neighborhood last week were met by a small group of angry toddlers on a street corner. One of the children, who appears to be three or four years old and wearing only a pair of underwear, is captured on video repeatedly punching and swearing at the officers.
The boy is seen trying to hit the officers and shouts at them several times to “Shut up b*tch. … Shut the f*** up.”
He points to an officer’s boots and says, “You got those ugly-a** church shoes.”
This alarming footage, obtained by Alpha News‘ Sheila Qualls, has gone viral on social media for both its disturbing content and for what it tells us about life in America’s inner cities today.
Taken by itself, this little snippet from inner city life is horrifying, sickening, and saddening, all at once.
But, it becomes more troubling when one considers the larger implications. It’s not unusual to see unsupervised minors in crime ridden neighborhoods, nor is it surprising to see children so young showing such contempt toward law enforcement.
We can easily imagine the trajectory of these children’s lives, particularly the ringleader’s, for lack of a better word.
Decades of liberal policies that fail to address the root cause of the problems in our inner cities have led directly to this behavior. The common denominator is that the most dangerous cities with the highest crime rates in the U.S. are run by Democrats. The defund the police movement, also conceived by Democrats, has only accelerated the decline.
These policies are responsible for perpetuating the cycle of poverty.
The Democratic Party, which claims to help blacks through all of their social programs, has actually suppressed them. While it may appear on the surface that Democrats have supported blacks by providing for them financially, in reality, these social safety nets simply ensure they remain trapped in the cycle of poverty.
Most blacks see only that Democrats are more generous than Republicans and the party can count on their votes. This has been true for a long time.
Democrats have instilled in blacks the notion that they are helpless, and the odds are stacked against them. Like all of the Democrat’s lies, it’s been repeated so often, many blacks firmly believe that no matter how hard they work, the system is against them, and they will never get ahead.
And this narrative is fed by party leaders. In the video below, former First Lady Michelle Obama delivers a virtual commencement address to the class of 2020 and does her best to keep this debilitating narrative alive.
Within 90 seconds, the topic turned to race. Not only have we had to deal with the pandemic, she told graduates, “but also by the rumbling of the age-old fault lines that our country was built on. The lines of race and power that are now once again so nakedly exposed for all of us to grapple with.”
With one of the most sour expressions I’ve ever seen, she said, “What’s happening right now is the direct result of decades of unaddressed prejudice and inequality.”
“The truth is, when it comes to all those tidy stories of hard work and self-determination that we like to tell ourselves about America,” she says as she shakes her head to indicate this is a lie, “the reality is a lot more complicated than that. Because for too many people in this country no matter how hard they work, there are structural barriers working against them that just make the road longer and rockier.”
Her words merely validated the decades-old myth that stands at the center of the racial divide in America today.
“These children are the result of a social experiment gone bad,” Qualls writes. “They are casualties of the War on Poverty introduced by the progressive left under former President Lyndon Johnson in the 1960s. Since that time, the black community and society as a whole have been suffering the consequences.”
She points out that before Johnson envisioned his Great Society, “nearly 80 percent of black children were born into two-parent families. Today, nearly 80 percent of black children are born into fatherless homes.”
The children in the video are unsupervised because their mothers are probably at work. Their fathers may even be incarcerated.
We can predict with reasonable certainty that the “ringleader” will wind up in prison one day.
And the cycle of misery will continue.
Can somebody please tell me why anyone in America would vote for a Democrat?
