For years, the left wing of this country and the DNC have been telling Americans “Diversity is our greatest strength.” Per usual, they offer no evidence or sound scientific analysis to prove that is true, but hey, they are liberals, which means thinking logically is off limits to them because logic is racist. If there is one thing in this universe that a liberal fears, it is being called a racist by other liberals. If diversity is America’s greatest strength, it stands to reason that more diversity would equal more strength, and given the current parlous state of our society, more strength seems like exactly what the country needs. Why are we not doing everything we can to bring more diversity to all parts of the country, and publicizing the incredible benefits that are accruing to those blessed American communities which are already diverse? The answer is obvious as ever when liberals are pushing a myth; they have absolutely no proof that it is true, and there is lots of evidence that it may be false. That fact should guide the response of every rational, fair-minded, conservative American when confronted with liberals pushing lousy public policy using “diversity is our greatest strength“ as their justification.
If that scenario, liberals using diversity as the basis for their policies, sounds like an uncomfortable group with which to initiate a political conversation, congratulations, you have stumbled across the disreputable and primary reason why liberals base on it their arguments for almost everything: it intimidates people who might disagree with them. Consider this, there is a myriad of characteristics one could choose to focus on to measure “diversity”, but American liberals focus exclusively and obsessively on skin color. The darker one’s skin, the more enthusiastic the Democrat embrace will be, politically speaking. Of course, that embrace will last about a nanosecond if that darker skinned person turns out to be conservative, Christian, heterosexual, or pro-life. Liberal leaders are smart enough to know that political opinions are not 100% correlated to skin color, but they are cynical enough to exploit the tendency of people to assume that it probably is that way, and over time, that assumption can be a self-fulfilling one. Ergo, the quintessentially white Joe Biden can tell an American black man that “he ain’t black” if he does not vote for a pasty face, child-sniffing, corrupt, male Democrat with a history of insulting people of color. Sadly, being a racist white Democrat worked, and Biden got 92% of the black vote in 2020, assuming the election was not fraudulent. In the minds of Democrats, racial diversity is the only diversity that matters. That is why they invented a new racial classification to apply to Robert Zimmerman: “White Hispanic”. You may notice that neither word truly describes a race. Color is king to a Democrat.
Democrats will never carp about the lack of diversity in black voting patterns, but in an ironic way they do prove their own argument by continually promoting policies that harm black communities even as they claim to be helping black Americans. A little political diversity would do wonders for black Americans in terms of pushing Democrats to do something beneficial to them for a change. Black Americans need only look at the ascent of Hispanics and Asians in this country to see that political diversity is paying off for those groups as they leapfrog black Americans in almost every measure of success: education, income, net worth, health, etc. Is that a result of the skin color diversity that Democrats love so much? Doubtful. For example, crime in poor neighborhoods is a big obstacle to success for children living there. Surely, having a diverse racial community reduces crime.
Sorry:
“Many studies have found that racial diversity is associated with more crime in neighborhoods. The main argument (rooted in social disorganization theory) is that racially diverse settings undermine social cohesion among neighborhood residents. Specifically, a more racially diverse population is thought to hinder the development of social ties and cohesion among residents, and thus, weaken the capacity of residents, themselves, to monitor and regulate criminal behavior – informal social control.”

The success of racial or ethnic groups in America, aka people of color (POC), also belies the Democrat claim that diversity is strength because many, if not most, of those successful POC grew up in decidedly non-diverse communities. If racial diversity is indeed “America’s greatest strength” one would expect that living in such a hotbed of racial homogeneity would have killed any chance of POC from those communities being successful, much less outperforming the evil white overlords who control America. Unfortunately for the race baiting DNC and its pet theory on the incredible benefits of racial diversity, the facts do not support their claims.
The 10 most diverse cities in America as of 2021 are (most to least): Houston; New York; Dallas; Los Angeles; Gaithersburg; Silver Spring; Arlington, TX; Long Beach; Danbury CT; Chicago. So, these cities should be incredibly successful compared to cities that are racially homogenous. After all, they are strong in the most important attribute for success in America- racial diversity. They should trample their non-diverse competitors underfoot. Here are the ten most wealthy cities in America, (please note the overlap): Cary, NC; Centennial CO; Frisco, TX; Sunnyvale; Fremont, CA; Bellevue; Pearland, Tx; Olathe KS; Overland Park, KS; League City TX. Surprised? Not one of the ten most diverse cities in America is also one of ten richest cities!! How can that be? Carrying the argument a little further, one should know that the ten least diverse cities in America are NOT among the ten poorest either.
This article cannot show correlation for diversity and educational achievement; diversity and income; diversity and net worth; or diversity and any other measure of societal success because it does not have the time or the space to do so, but anyone who wishes may look up the effects of racial diversity on achievement and will find that in America there is no correlation between race and success, or lack of success. In fact, since 2013, Hispanics and Black Americans have both grown their net worth faster than White Americans. In fact, all groups measured by the Federal Reserve have outperformed White Americans over that time. This chart shows the percent growth in net worth by each group since 2007.
The Democrat insistence that racial diversity is our greatest strength, and we need to have a massive campaign to redress white supremacy and its terrible effects on POC achievement seems at best to be political propaganda. At worst, it is a deliberate intent to undermine the Republic and incite racial hostility for political power.
If not racial diversity, what is America’s greatest strength? It is the same answer as it was in 1776. A belief in a common set of values and ethics. Those values and ethics were enshrined in the Constitution that founded this great nation and has served us unbelievably well for over 200 years. There can be no strength in a nation without an agreement on the fundamental principles that will be used to lead and govern it. The motto “E Pluribus Unum” is a noble and pithy statement of that truth. We can prosper greatly if all of us adhere to that philosophy, using the Constitution as our guide, and the Declaration of Independence as our inspiration. If a large percentage of Americans decide that is not the course we should follow and choose to abandon our heritage in the name of racial diversity we will all rue that day. Moreover, we will drink from the bitter cup of racial violence and civil disorder that hatred for our fellow man always brings

Diversity and strength have no place together, in the same sentence.
They have nothing to do with each other. They are not catalysts for each other, or by each other. It is a bromide.
If diversity is to have strength, it has to have something coalescing the two, like building a team and learning what strength is. That diversity has to also be voluntary, allowing those who think and act alike, join to become strong. Otherwise, diversity for diversity’s sake means very little to me.
You are right, but your sentiment would get you thrown off of most college campuses in America. Pathetic.
