Restore Liberty

It’s Our Title, It’s Our Mission

You would have thought I was crazy in January 2020. I started to build a nationwide network of people that was first and foremost grounded in faith in God and trust in each other. With the knowledge that something wasn’t right, and it would only get worse, I kept moving. This was eleven-months prior to the election and just at the outset of COVID #19, and the nation appeared to be healthy and vibrant. But like a body riddled with cancer, the outside can look normal while the inside is dying.

When we lead with faith and conviction, we sometimes do things that look crazy to others, and sometimes to ourselves as well. All I knew is that I had to keep moving forward and the purpose for these efforts would reveal itself later.

A year later I joined US Air Force Brigadier General (retired) Blaine Holt in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. It was one of those meetings where two people who never would have met otherwise found themselves first connected, and then collaborating on a plan that could be part of helping save a nation.

But from what? And didn’t we already have the leadership we needed?

Those answers would reveal themselves in time, as all that’s occurred since January of 2020 would make it clear. It’s also clear that things could get much worse before they have a chance of getting better. Knowing this, it became necessary to continue to build a national team with the experience and capacity to lead through the worst of times. Let’s face it, the political types often lack the capacity to lead. Instead, true leadership grows naturally out of the American population in ways that are not typical or expected.

Our plan is simple in concept but takes a lot of work and patience. The most important component is courage. The second most important is unity rooted in trust. Though the organization and plan have many components, there are four pillars defining our efforts.

  1. The Declaration of Constitutional Consent:

Too many have talked about needing a new Constitution and/or Declaration of Independence. We disagree. We need to use the ones we have, as originally written and intended. The Declaration of Constitutional Consent document serves as an educational tool, but also lists many of the grievances the American people have with overreaching government. Citizens can read it, print it, sign it, and send to whomever they like. Citizens can also sign online and the more that do the bigger the message.[1]

  1. Constitutional Sanctuary Declarations:

The United States is supposed to be a constitutional sanctuary for its citizens. But our pretend oligarchs and tiny tyrants ignore the rule of law under the constitution for a creeping tyranny fueled by laws not based upon critical constitutional principles. We advocate for citizens pushing their state and county representatives to declare themselves a constitutional sanctuary and tell the federal government to get back in their well-defined and limited powers.[2]

  1. Identifying and promoting Constitutional Candidates

The lesser of two evils is still evil and we will never endorse candidates who do not meet our strict criteria. Signing our candidate questionnaire is a start, and then the hard part begins. Each candidate is vetted to ensure they have the courage, character, competence and constitutional knowledge necessary in our public servants. We focus on school boards, sheriffs, and judges. To support this effort, we maintain a 501c4 non-profit and a SUPERPAC.

  1. Civics Education

How does a person fight for their God guaranteed rights if they don’t know the American system of governance and the rights they own in the first place? We provide people of all ages and backgrounds the education they need. Members of our team are well-versed in history and government. They know our founding documents were written to guarantee individual rights first and place people, families, and communities at the top, and the federal government at the bottom. We also show people that failure to abide by the principles in our Declaration of Independence and Constitution means violating the oath of office and places the violator in breach of contract with the American people.

The Restore Liberty team is proud to be on the battlefield, bringing joyful warriors ready to stand up at a time when we are most needed. We know that to fix the nation, we must rebuild the community. Visit us at www.restore-liberty.org, please support as you are able. Restore Liberty – it’s our title, it’s our mission.

  1. We will not fill your inbox or give your information to anybody.
  2. There are many specific actions a state could take to make this statement powerful. Such as sending back funding, just saying no, banding together with other liberty focused states, etc. There are only 18 powers delegated from us to the federal government.

  1. A Consent Decree is what must be held every 18 years to confirm our American System. Those born here have never consented to our system. Should not Self-Government be continually confirmed ? Voting does not, nor ever will provide proof of acceptance. I’ve written an amendment to this topic:

CONCURRENT RESOLUTION – Perpetual Confirmation of the Constitution
Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States.

Whereas, a healthy respect to each Citizen for their continued consent in allowing the Constitution of the United States to remain in effect requires perpetual confirmations; and

Whereas, with no such provision for Citizens to Rightfully repeat the most important agreement between Sovereign citizens and the Document stating Limits and Purpose which is to serve as the agreement and consent for the Constitution of the United States to exist; and

Whereas, this Rightful and Necessary confirmation shall be repeated so as to continue in each subsequent generation the check on subsequent government for Respect to our Sovereign citizens; and

Whereas, if such consent is found lacking, a National Convention shall be called for an inquiry into the People’s concerns:

Now, therefore, be it Resolved by the States assembled, That the following article is proposed to Congress to be adopted as a proposed amendment to the Constitution of the United States, which shall be valid to all intents and purposes as part of the Constitution when ratified by either method described in Article V:

    “Article-
Being a free people, who authorize others to act for us, requires respect from those we authorize, and responsibility of such authority when exercised.

This transference must be renewed from time to time. Our authorization, given freely to others still has a shared burden. For when freely given, authority apart from us is morally connected back to the source of all authority. Without recognition regarding this, by our government, to our temporary bond, their function is null, void, and subject to criminal penalties.

A great burden remains on the people, and must not be forgotten, or dismissed.

Sec. 1 Effective on passage, a vote shall be called for in the several States to occur within thirty days, where the citizens will cast votes to indicate if the Constitution of the United States is and remains confirmed to exist as the Supreme Law of the land, and such vote so requiring a three-fourths majority in affirmation.

Sec. 2 Every eighteen years from the date of passage, citizens shall cast votes to indicate if the Constitution of the United States is and remains confirmed to exist as the Supreme Law of the land, and such vote so requiring a three-fourths majority in affirmation.

Sec. 3 If the required affirmation is not reached in any said vote, a Convention of States shall be called immediately and shall begin proceedings within ninety days; the convention shall consist of delegates elected, but not currently holding positions of election or appointment or employment or also such within the past year at the time of such election as delegates; delegates shall be qualified to citizens of an age of 25 years or more.

Sec. 4 Rules for the Convention of States, when called for, shall be set forth at the start of the Convention.

Sec. 5 If a convention called, and while so, in its proceedings, it shall enjoy absolute independence from new laws and any other laws which interfere with its deliberations, with no hindrance to any persons required and approved by said convention, or otherwise disturbed, except for peaceful attendance by the people either inside or outside said building or buildings as is allowed by convention rules.

Sec. 6 During a convention the Constitution remains in effect, with no alterations to Federal of any State of the several States which does or may do affect said convention.

Sec. 7 Rendered deliberations shall be put into effect of which shall consist of three options.

    a) Continue as if a three-fourths majority in affirmation was obtained.
    b) Call for a revote of affirmation,
    c) Deliver amendments for ratification, using a method described in Article V as determined by Congress.

The convention shall have 120 days to deliberate, if required, and if the 120 days pass without a rendering, then it will be as though affirmation was reached.

While this proposal has a fail-safe mechanism to placate the fearful, and does not fully confirm acceptance, its purpose is to allow honest dialog every 18 years. Its possible for repeat calls for confirmation in an endless loop, but it also allows the States to make their claims be heard too. If need be, additional articles could be inserted which allow the States themselves to confirm their consent too.

Self-Government means the People allow their governments to exist, and if those governments fail the People, then it’s the Right of the People to make new government. In keeping our present system, which is largely a good one, allowances for straight forward acceptance must be made or it’s not the People’s Government.
