Political Parody As a Weapon Part LXIII

Political Parody As a Weapon Part LXIII; A Politician Looks at 80: We tried to run him away but he came back to play, and now nobody can smile.

Previously, in Part LXII, the ability of the Washington Post to draw the best face on select criminal suspects, accused mass murderers and assassins was examined. In this session, we will examine what Joe Biden has been able to reflect upon after 80 years above ground to date.

The current occupant of the White House turned 80 on Sunday, November 20. While some used the occasion to mock Biden, others used the occasion to offer heartfelt advice. Still, as more legacy media outlets begin to grudgingly validate Biden family corruption despite earlier denials, it might be valuable to explore some of the highlights of Joe Biden’s life and career not referenced on his son’s laptop.

Biden’s reputation for lack of honesty and intellectual rigor precedes his time in public life, and was evidenced in law school when he was failed for plagiarism due to his inability to properly use footnotes. After the tragic death of his wife and daughter in a car collision following his election to the US Senate in 1972, Biden tried to enhance his victimhood by falsely claiming the truck driver who struck his wife’s vehicle when she failed to properly observe the stop sign on Valley Road had been consuming alcohol.

Despite the fact that the councilmatic district where he first ran and won in 1970 was in a county that was majority white, Biden has claimed he was raised politically in the Puerto Rican community and got his start at a historically black college or university (HBCU), despite the latter having no presence in New Castle County at the time. Just to make sure no other special interest group of the democrat party at the time of his first election victory should feel left out, Biden has also bragged of his friendly relationship with democrat segregationists in the Senate at the time of his first term.

Biden’s first bid for the presidency was derailed when he stole not only the words, but the biography of British Labor Party leader Neil Kinnock. Other words that Biden uses in often nonsense ways he has attributed to his mother and father. Biden has also falsely claimed he was a professional truck driver, and was detained by South African authorities for his anti-apartheid activities.

Biden’s plagiarism and serial lying is not the only characteristic that has been described as “creepy”. Biden has long shown a propensity for unwanted touching with women and girls in particular. One former aide, Tara Reade, has claimed to have been actually sexual assaulted by Biden when he was her boss as a senator, though Biden has denied it, and refuses to release his senate papers which could refute or corroborate her claim.

Biden’s lies and exaggerations are never to make himself the butt of a joke, but rather serve to make him the hero of the tall tale, create a bond that doesn’t otherwise exist or enhance his victimhood. As a result, Biden has become a joke in his own right, though, unfortunately, the punch line is delivered right to our country’s face.

For 75 of Biden’s years, though, he has shared the earth with a man who could sing a joke better than most. Jimmy Buffett has emerged over the last half of a century as an entertainer with sense of humor as well as a loyal band of followers, and is also a savvy businessman who has been able to make millions of dollars from a brand of fun-loving music and related products that celebrate life at the beach and those whose lifestyles are at the whims of the tide. While none of the many hit tunes he has penned and performed match the commercial success that “Margaritaville” has enjoyed since its release in 1977, it is another selection from “The Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” album that is the subject of today’s song parody. The song “A Pirate Looks at 40” is the tale of a marijuana smuggler musing on the highs and lows of his life as he approaches a middle age milestone. Oddly enough, it is the kind of tune that has fans on all sides of the drug war in a manner not dissimilar to the HBO series “The Wire”.

The lyrics show an honest reflection on the success and failure of a man involved in a corrupt enterprise who has little to show for it except for the memories. There seems to be no better song to reflect 80 years of a corrupt man who has succeeded in the enterprise of leading his country to failure.

Mother Finnegan Biden, I have used your name.
Wanted to give you credit when I make a stupid claim
to avoid blame
to avoid blame

Watched the dems I served with segregate by race

Pass Jim Crow laws and did it because they want colored to stay in their place
I gave them safe space
I gave them safe space

Yes, I am Joe Biden
Now eighty years around
The economy’s tanked and my policies thanked

and China thinks that we are beclowned
My gaffes abound

My gaffes abound

I’ve done a lot of lying.
and I’m prone to exaggerate

I’ll make a false claim to add to my fame

but I always prevaricate
to make me look great
to make me look great

The driver was drunk back when he struck my wife.
I’ve been Puerto Rican now for most of my life

I’m a civil rights fella did time with Mandela

when I was at an HBCU.

Just to name a few .

Just to name a few

I fondle younger women, to sniff them is my need
Though I give them a scare with my face in their hair

the press should take no heed
Ignore Tara Reade
Ignore Tara Reade

So American people, after eighty years I’ve shown

the occupational hazard from letting me occupy a president’s throne
With a pen and a phone, an Obama clone
an IQ like a stone, my cover’s blown

  1. China Joey has said so many lies that it is almost impossible to list them all.
He said he graduated at the top of his law school class. He graduated 76 out of 85.
He recently added 4 states so we now have 54. Or maybe he deleted 3 states from Obama’s 57?
But it doesn’t matter how stupid and mentally impaired he is because he just follows orders from Ron Klain, Algore’s chief of staff, for the “green” policies, and Susan Rice, Obma’s agent, for foreign policy.
