The conservative punditry world hasn’t had a shake up like this weeks in a long time. Two years ago, we lost talk radio’s G.O.A.T., Rush Limbaugh. A very sad day, but not a surprise given Rush’s health issues. Fox News firing its number one star, Tucker Carlson, was both a surprise and a shock. He had the largest audience of all cable news shows. With his audience comes advertisers. With advertisers comes revenue. Why would Fox choose to lose its number one money maker voluntarily? It doesn’t seem to make good business sense. The owner of Fox Corporation, Fox News’ parent company, Rupert Murdoch, didn’t become a mega-billionaire by making stupid business decisions.
Either an external force(s) to Fox News influenced Murdoch’s hand or an internal decision, free from outside influence, was made. But which? Speculation is everywhere. In his relatively brief stay atop Fox, Tucker made a lot of enemies. Of course, most of those enemies were liberals outside of Fox, but you don’t climb as high as he did without some internal naysayers too. The rumors and conspiracies are running rampant.
Tucker was a magnet for liberal attacks. He told the truth about what Democrats and their debased base have been doing to the country. He used his soap box effectively to shine the spotlight on the harms and utter absurdity of the trans-fascist movement. He documented how the Left’s obsession with perversion went from “we just want to be left alone” to “you better acknowledge me and approve of me, or the law will come down hard on you”. The Left’s total abandonment of any pretense to debate and free speech rights and abrupt adoption of brute force obeisance was a favorite topic on Tucker Carlson Tonight. The country is hotly enveloped in the trans debate. Was the ensuing heat Tucker engendered too much for Fox to handle?
Tucker exposed the incestuous relationship between the so-called mainstream media and the D.C. establishment. As so many of us did, he noted just how fake the fake news media is. The recent leak of national security classified documents by National Guardsman Texeira proved Tucker right on the Biden Regime’s lies about the war in Ukraine and the extent of our involvement in it. Tucker was vindicated about his portrayal of how “swimmingly” the war was going, how Russia was being “crushed” by Ukraine, there being no U.S. troops stationed there and what our non-public, true assessment of Ukraine’s chances really are. True to form, the “msm” played its state-controlled role in not covering any of the substance of the leak, but instead concentrating on the supposed perpetrator and his methodology.
Unlike the Pentagon Papers, the Texeira leak about Biden’s lying has drawn a collective yawn from the lapdog press, much like their reaction to Hunter’s laptop. Their concern is in covering up, not covering, the story in order to protect Biden. When “reporters” willingly submit their questions to the White House before the rare, once in eight months, Presidential press conference so the Doddering Fool in Chief can still stumble, fumble and mumble over his answers to only two pitiful questions, we no longer have the free press our Founders envisioned, instead we have confirmation of the existence of a compliant, state-controlled media. Tucker must be shut up for committing journalism, just as Julian Assange has been. You don’t criticize the Dem-media-military-industrial-complex and expect to get away with it. Not for long anyway.

Tucker’s exposure of the Pentagon’s full-on wokeness drew the ire of Defense Department brass. He pointed out basic truths about how our military is being transformed from a fighting force capable of doing its duty defending our nation to a milquetoast, quasi-social society of barely uniformed woke drones, in front of our very eyes. When Tucker noted publicly the Air Force providing maternity flight suits for combat pilots, the Pentagon big wigs went ballistic on him. It took the likes of Sen. Ted Cruz to remind military flag officers that they are to stay out of politics, especially when in uniform. If flag officers want to comment on politics, why have none resigned in the past two years over Biden’s abuse of our military? That tells me all I need to know about our current political class of flag officers that are simply military empty suits. None of them could lead flies to an outdoor latrine. And they have the nerve to wonder why they aren’t meeting vital recruitment goals? The next Commander in Chief should purge the lot of them.
Coincidentally, the weekend before his firing, our favorite Congressional airhead, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), called Tucker an inciter of violence and thus we need to revisit our understanding of the First Amendment. We? Unlike AOC, I understand perfectly well the meaning of “Congress shall make no law…”. Maybe she needs to revisit the Constitution? Is it merely coincidence that AOC’s public remarks immediately preceded Tucker’s departure?
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy released the January 6 Capitol video footage to Tucker several weeks ago and aired the first installment on March 6. Immediately the next day from the floor of the Senate, his nemesis and most powerful U.S. Senator, Chuckie Schumer attacked the move by McCarthy and attacked Fox News calling Tucker a liar and demanded that Rupert Murdoch stop Carlson from running another episode of the January 6 videos that night. Guess what happened? The second episode of Tucker’s video revelation was tamped down and tame. He in essence revealed no more new footage to his audience. The most powerful Democrat in Congress took down a news report. Out of thousands of hours of video hidden from the public, no more was allowed to be shown. How’s that for the First Amendment? Schumer understands the Constitution like Dylan Mulvaney understands human biology. Did Schumer finally get his way with Tucker’s firing?
Tucker was the keynote speaker at the 50th anniversary gala for the Heritage Foundation last weekend. In that speech he laid out in very stark yet spiritual terms the battle the country finds itself in now. He said the battle is between good and evil. He’s right. Mutilating children’s genitals isn’t a policy discussion, it’s evil. Not only is the idea of men becoming “women” absurd and impossible, but it is also evil. Killing human beings in their preborn stage of development isn’t a choice, it is evil. Tucker dared to say so, not only at the gala but nearly everyday on his program. He mentioned our Maker and that we should each pray every day. Some say this was too much for Rupert Murdoch to handle. Along with Murdoch having just called off his engagement to his would-be fifth wife, according to some sources due to religious reasons, Tucker’s spiritual and prayerful remarks were the final straw. Who can say?
Still others say Tucker was forced out because of big pharma. He and James O’Keefe (recently fired from the company he founded, Project Veritas) outed big pharma companies for their role in the COVID pandemic, vaccines, gain of function research and investing heavily in big tech and big media companies to soften their appeal to the public. Take note next time you’re watching TV how many pharma commercials you see. If you waste your time watching network news, just look at who is their biggest sponsor – big pharma. Did they help disappear Tucker?
I won’t continue to bore everyone with the Dominion lawsuit. Perhaps the most compelling explanation comes from Megyn Kelly, a former Fox star, who speculates that Tucker was actually not fired from Fox, but rather is on some sort of Garden Leave, according to her sources.
“A garden leave refers to the period of time during which an employee stays away from the workplace…remains on the payroll…but is neither permitted to go to work nor to commence any other employment during the garden leave.” Investsopedia
Breitbart is in agreement with her. If true, this is extremely insidious electioneering on the part of the Murdochs.
“Carlson’s current contract runs through December 2024, and as of now three sources familiar with the matter told Breitbart News that executives at the network are trying to keep Carlson on contract and not release him until after the 2024 election.”
Whether one of these rumors is true or Tucker’s departure is for some other reason, neither Fox nor he are saying now. Eventually, we’ll discover the reason. Regardless, Fox is taking a big hit this week in ratings. Viewership in Tucker’s time slot dropped nearly in half in his absence. Fox Corp stock took a hit this week as well. Taking a page from Anhueser-Busch, Fox said, “Hold my beer”. Like Rush Limbaugh who bragged about being fired multiple times, Carlson will recover, and we will all be the better for it. The Establishment, not so much. Why Tucker? He was effective. Millions listened to his informative and entertaining message. He made sense of it all. He indicted the establishment. That’s dangerous to their power structure. Truth does that. Truth hurts. Truth is dangerous. We need Truth like we need water. Tucker is a rare truth teller in today’s media. He’ll be back.

I was wondering, were the tapes released to “Tucker” or to “Fox”? I’m convinced that after Tucker released the first tranche of the tapes, he was subsequently muzzled by Fox, who was feeling the heat from the Deep State. Now that Tucker is a free agent of sorts (pending contract exit negotiations) what happens to all of those tapes? After Tucker’s first release, there were a lot of dem sphincters that were tightly puckered, so what’s next? Tapes are deep-sixed and the deep state wins, or someone has the huevos to release the balance of the tapes to the public BEFORE the ’24 elections? Just wondering.
I’m wondering the same thing. It’s my understanding that Tucker’s producers were given access at the Capitol Bldg to review them. They were allowed to copy what they wanted to broadcast but after the first night, the kabash was obviously taken the Tucker and his team with nothing after that. I think Tucker was angry about that and that was the beginning of the end. Hopefully, an NDA won’t be part of the departure agreement and he can explain. Otherwise, we might never know. When public servants forget that we are the public and they are the servants, we’re in big trouble as a nation.
EHS: superb analysis, unimpeachable logic and well written to boot. Rush is smiling down on you!
Thanks for pulling it together for us like he did!
Thanks Bill m. I try. Take care my friend.
All I really want to know is what will happen to We the People when the Greatest Experiment in representative democracy fails, which seems likely now. Will there be another civil war? Is that why Biden is weakening the used-to-be-primarily-Republican military? And swinging its brass Woke?
I have not yet seen any writing on what will happen. “It can’t happen here,” though 170 years ago it did. Germany was a country of intelligent people, they thought it couldn’t happen there, but it did. Much of the world is turning into dictatorships and no one is stopping them.
What will happen? IT is happening here?
We are in the Great U.S. Culture War. Presently, it is a civil war without the shooting. It could come to violence. It doesn’t have to happen. There are many paths forward from today. TBD how it plays out. I believe the Left would love for Conservatives to commit some violence on the order of the Jan 6 demonstration and riot (where there was riot) to use the force of government at every level to crush dissent.
War? After knuckling down after the stolen election, I have my doubts that enough people will fight the behemoth government. Of course, the size of the enemy didn’t deter our patriot ancestors in 1776, so who knows.
Two names to remember should conflict come: Francis Marion & John Singleton Mosby.
