How could anyone or anything survive fifty years of being wrong? No, I’m not talking about Joe Biden’s career. I’m referring to the Climate Nazis and their catastrophic, apocalyptic predictions that have all proven to be false. Rather than stepping back and assessing and reassessing where they went wrong, they double down on their whacky ideas, to the detriment of western civilization and modernity and to their own credibility or lack thereof.
Failure is the way to promotion in liberal La La Land. Liberals and Democrats seem to fail up. The worse you are, the higher you go up their ladder of success. At this point, the climate Chicken Littles are just too entrenched in their backwards philosophy. It would be too embarrassing for them to backdown now. They have too much invested and too much at stake. There is too much power still up for grabs. Their fanaticism has become like a religion to them.
The left’s new triune religion is Climate-Abortion-Trans. These philosophies are the unholy trinity of the religion of the left. As G.K. Chesterton famously quipped, “When men stop believing in God, they don’t believe in nothing; they believe in anything.” This triad of imbecility that now defines the modern left: 1. That mankind controls the climate, 2. The fetal stage of human development is not human and 3. Men and women can become one another. The left now officially believes in anything. Feel free to laugh at them. Heaven knows they deserve ridicule.
They make it almost too easy to poke holes in (and fun at) their climate theories. Yet the climate delusionists are not perturbed by those many holes. Seemingly, the more holes, the merrier. That’s why Al Gore received an Academy Award in 2007 for his fictional, Armageddon-like fake-umentary “An Inconvenient Truth”. The real inconvenient truth is that all of his disastrous climate predictions were wrong. Nothing he predicted came true. Predictions from Mt. Kilimanjaro becoming snowless to Florida being covered by ocean to more frequent and more intense hurricanes (spoiler alert: hurricane frequency and intensity have decreased), have all been proven as fake as Dylan Mulvaney’s girlhood. Before his acceptance speech put people to sleep, he was heard to actually say to the audience that Arctic ice would vanish within five years. Polar Bears are now flourishing on that “vanished” ice.
Where to start with all the phony predictions gone wrong? The lists are mesmerizing. Some are dreadful. Some scary. And some are downright comical. You can read a list of some of them here. In 2000, the liberal UK The Independent published an article titled “Snowfalls are now just a thing of the past”. Reading that article now with a straight face is damn near impossible.
On June 24, 1974 Time Magazine famously ran an article it now wishes we would forget, “Another Ice Age?”. Here’s the punchline from that joke of a piece,
“However widely the weather varies from place to place and time to time, when meteorologists take an average of temperatures around the globe they find that the atmosphere has been growing gradually cooler for the past three decades.”
Of course, this isn’t as much of a punchline as it is a punch in the gut to today’s climate cultists. Oops, never mind. Global warming, anyone?
According to the high priests and priestesses of the climate cult, fossil fuels are the bane of the earth’s pristine environment. The demise of fossil fuels has been gleefully predicted for over a century. These are just a few of “end of oil” headlines of the past 100 years:
1919: Two to five years until maximum production
1943: Peak oil has been reached
2007: Sometime between now and 2040
Despite all the naysaying, the U.S. still has the largest proven oil reserves in the world. Of course, we’re restricted from accessing these reserves because doing so would be heretical. The climate cult is now firmly in charge of U.S. energy policy. Those reserves are now guaranteed to last longer than predicted precisely because we aren’t allowed to use them by environmental whackos using their favorite weapon of enforcement and intimidation, lawfare.
It just doesn’t matter to them that the infamous Hockey Stick graph was debunked as fake or that the University of East Anglia was caught in emails doctoring temperature data to “prove” that world temperatures are rising.
Forget all that. You must have faith. The faith they make fun of Christians for, they embrace in their earth-worshiping false-church fetish. In this instance they can’t tolerate a separation of church and state. They insist on a union of church and state. In fact, they demand state enforce adherence to this religion. And the state, especially under President Brandon, is all too happy to be the enforcement arm of this new religion, First Amendment be damned.
“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.” Romans 1:25 (NIV)
The Climate Cult is a lie built on lies. It worships the created (Earth), rather than the Creator (God). That’s a recipe for disaster. Mankind’s hubris is on full display. We don’t have the power to make the Earth colder or warmer. Ours is the only planet in our solar system with a greenhouse effect. The two biggest factors in that effect are the Sun, our source of heat, and water vapor, overwhelmingly the major greenhouse gas. We can’t control the Sun (don’t be surprised if someday the Climate Nazis inform us that we can) and we can’t control the evaporation of 70% of the Earth’s surface, water.
Giving more money to government for state appointed climate Czars is not the answer. Massachusetts’ climate doesn’t exist in a vacuum. It shares its climate with Connecticut, Vermont, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Maine and the rest of the country and planet. This first ever State Climate Czar appointment is laughable. It can only mean less freedom for the citizens and businesses of Massachusetts.
The answer to being good stewards of the planet that God gave us dominion over isn’t to become hysterical Climate Nazis. We can keep our planet clean without overturning our way of life, our economy, our energy sector, our future development, and our personal liberty. Following the diktats of the climate cult will cause us to regress, not progress.
The extremists that have been wrong about everything they have predicted and continue to predict about the climate should not be entrusted with power to control how we live. They should be rebuked, not followed. They should be shamed, not exalted. They should be laughed off the world stage. They should be banished from the halls of power forever.
