One of the more interesting bits to come out of the whole Hunter Biden/Burisma scandal is that Hunter Biden is, apparently, an idiot. That’s according to the recent FD-1023 release by Senator Chuck Grassley.
Yeah. Color me shocked.
Burisma executives thought Hunter Biden was “stupid” but felt they had to keep paying him in order to continue political protection from his father, Joe Biden, an FBI confidential source reported to the bureau in 2020.
The unverified allegations were captured on an FBI form that has been the source of fierce debate in Washington in recent months. Republicans released the four-page document Thursday.
The source, whose identity was redacted, said Burisma officials admitted they hired Hunter Biden to “protect us, through his dad, from all kinds of problems.” In a subsequent meeting, the officials expressed confidence the Bidens would clear obstacles to Burisma getting listed on an American stock exchange.
Here’s the onion:
“Don’t worry, Hunter will take care of all of those issues through his dad,” one executive said, according to the FBI’s summary of the source’s information.

This isn’t a new thing. The corruption of the Bidens has been known for a while now, but it seems new information comes to light every day from this FD-1023, including more a recent story on the Bidens coercing Burisma for millions to get a certain prosecutor fired.
Joe Biden and Hunter Biden allegedly “coerced” Burisma CEO Mykola Zlochevsky to pay them millions of dollars in exchange for their help in getting the Ukrainian prosecutor investigating the company fired, according to allegations contained in an unclassified FBI document released Thursday by Sen. Chuck Grassley.
Grassley said he released the document, which describes an alleged criminal bribery scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a Ukrainian business executive, so that the American people can “read this document for themselves without the filter of politicians or bureaucrats.”
All I can say is, hooray for Senator Grassley.
There can be little doubt that we are being governed by a kakistocracy – that is, rule by the very worst people in our society. Washington is peopled by the biggest cohort of nitwits, con artists, hustlers, mendicants, nincompoops, perverts and outright thieves that we have ever seen in the history of the Republic. And it’s becoming increasingly apparent that the worst are in the highest chairs; we thought the Clintons were bad, but when it comes to corruption, it looks like they’ve got nothing on the Bidens.
Hunter Biden may be stupid. His history supports that view. But he is eminently corruptible, and stupid or no, has been an effective conduit through which bribe money flows to the rest of the family.
Senator Grassley and a few others are doing some great work uncovering this corruption, but they are spitting into a gale. Until the Federal government is returned – somehow – to its Constitutional boundaries, a task that makes the Aegean Stables look like an afternoon picnic, politicians will have influence to sell. And there will always be those out there who are willing to buy that influence. Strip the politicians of that power and influence by returning Washington to its Constitutional norms, and the biggest step towards draining the Swamp is taken.
