Gaslighting And Other Examples Of How The Left Operates

Gaslighting, bold faced lies, and other techniques are what the Democrats use to get minority voters to support them. Even if the Democratic Party is their worst enemy.

The Israeli government has cut off food, water, and fuel to 2 million people inside Gaza. Collective punishment is not only contrary to international law, it is inhumane and illogical. How will this deescalate the violence rather than radicalize many more? It is madness.

George “Gaslight” Takei

October 9, 2023

In the days after Israel retaliated against the terrorist group Hamas, the most famous helmsman in entertainment history took to his Twitter feed. George Takei called the actions of the IDF against Hamas “collective punishment, inhumane, and unjustified.” This Tweet reminded me why I gave him the nickname of Gaslight. Whatever the radical left says, Gaslight believes it, no questions asked.

Perhaps George actually didn’t know that unlike Hamas, the IDF is trying to reduce civilian causalities by warning non-combatants to evacuate the future battle area. The Israeli’s are not angels, but they are not deliberately targeting innocent people. I wonder if Gaslight will comment on the threat of the Iranian Foreign Minister against Israel and its “war crimes?” Is that failing to deescalate the violence there George? Oh Sulu, can you point out one person Israel is holding hostage?

By the way George, if you went to the Gaza Strip and came into the custody of Hamas, they would murder you just for being homosexual. You go to Israel and you are perfectly safe from the conservative government. Remember that when you criticize Israel and Bibi Netanyahu.

But George is not the only Democrat to have antisemitic views. The “Squad,” now eight radical Democratic members of the House, are openly anti-Israel. In the days after the Hamas attack, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) had a Palestinian flag outside her office door. Strange, you’re a member of the US House of Representatives, why don’t you have the US flag outside? Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) put out a discredited report of Palestinian children killed by the IDF. The images were actually from a report of children killed a decade ago in Syria.

I bring this up because of something I’ve observed over the ages. The cult like support of certain peoples for the Democratic party. For instance, American Jews vote 70% Democratic at every election, when the Democratic party is the worst enemy Israel has in the US. To borrow a phrase, most illogical. For instance, the US Embassy was supposed to be moved to Jerusalem in the 1999 but every president (Dem and GOP) kept pushing it down the road. Democratic president Bill Clinton would not even approve Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995, he let the act become law without his signature. It was a Republican, Donald Trump, who actually did open a new embassy in the historical capital of the Jewish nation.

In October 1973, during the Yom Kippur War, the Soviets were reportedly shipping nuclear weapons to Egypt by ship. Republican President Richard Nixon ordered the US Defense Condition raised to DEFCON III. The Soviets immediately stopped their support of Egypt. This show of force and support to Israel stopped it from expanding outside of the Middle East. In a similar situation, does anyone believe a President Carter, Clinton, Obama, or Biden would act so decisively?

The latest Republican president, Donald Trump, was very supportive of Israel. Knowing the greatest threat to Israel, and peace in general, is Iran, he pulled out of the Iran-Nuke Deal and inflicted sanctions on Tehran early in his administration (actions reversed by his successor Joe Biden). Trump also classified the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corp as a terrorist organization and recognized the sovereignty of Israel on the Golan Heights. Sounds very supportive of Israel.

As an aside, I don’t recall the Iranian Navy seizing American boats on the high seas from January 2017 to January 2021? No, it didn’t happen like in January 2016. I wonder why?

Back to my previous comment on American Jews voting for Democratic. I discussed this with a close friend, a liberal American Jew. Her answer was, “Mike, you don’t understand about Jews in America. They are progressives first, Jews next. Israel is not the issue you think it is.” I have to say that statement was an eye opener, but it fits.

Back to Gaslight Takei and his statement about “collective punishment,” he should know the president from his party (yea George, the party that put you and your family into camps), Harry Truman, was all for collective punishment. After the surrender of German, Truman warned Japan, “…portions of Japan’s key industrial base have been leveled to the ground in a series of record incendiary raids, what has happened to Tokyo will happen to every Japanese city whose industries feed the Japanese war machine if the Japanese insist on continuing resistance beyond the point of reason their country will suffer the same destruction as Germany…” He also ordered the nuclear bombing of two cities, horrific yes, but it saved hundreds of thousands of lives.

The Democratic party has undercurrents of Anti-Semitism and racism/race baiting in its base that needs to be ripped out. Unfortunately, it is supported by a great number of minorities that continue to back without question the institution that is against them. In 2016 then presidential candidate Donald Trump said to blacks in the county, “Tonight, I’m asking for the vote of every single African-American citizen in this country who wants to see a better future. What do you have to lose by trying something new, like Trump? You’re living in your poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed — what the hell do you have to lose?” Seeing what Joe Biden has done for minorities, Jews, and others, not much.
