What have the Democrats and many Republicans done to America? “For the great Gaels of Ireland, Are the men that God made mad. For all their wars are merry, And all their songs are sad.” But today it’s not the Gaels, but the politicos of D.C. And it’s not God that made them mad, it’s Power. And it is a war for the soul of the nation and the left/progressives happily think they’ve won. And all the songs are dirges played on the organ of the media in this Age of Unreason. With apologies to G.K. Chesterton.
So let’s roll Biden’s “not so” accomplishments out. Foreign first. Afghanistan failure and deadly retreat–13 US service members dead and untold innocent Afghans. Wars in Gaza (have we turned our back on Israel?), Ukraine (proxy war with Russia). We sponsor Iran’s terror with a $6 billion payoff for hostages while their proxies target Red Sea shipping and US land forces. China openly threatens Taiwan. North Korea openly threatens South Korea. Mexico dictating immigration terms to the US. Middle East was turning TO us, now turning FROM us. Think Biden shows weakness and emboldens our enemies? Let’s ask the SecDef. Oh sorry, can’t find him.
So turning to Domestic. The President for ALL Americans obviously meant to say he was for only HALF of Americans. The border crisis imperils American citizens’ safety, health and wealth—and Joe doesn’t care. Military retention/recruitment down. Trashed energy independence. Authoritarian Covid mandates found unnecessary. War on parents and the Catholic church. Crime surge. Overwhelmingly, Americans say we’re headed in the wrong direction. (Gee, you mean some Democrats even agree?) Administration supports giving children “gender power” over parents by supporting the genital mutalation of minors. Food, rent and electricity are up—wages can’t keep pace. National education failing. Let’s ask Secretary Cardona for comment. Oh sorry, he’s out buying votes to SAVE Joe.
So now we are seeing mediocre diversity hires and appointees and making classes in critical race theory mandatory for all federal employees. Biden’s self-serving and ego appeals to all that’s bad. And the epitome of his disregard and unforgivable to those of us who served, he holds his “oath of office” in contempt. Joe and his ilk may think they’ll transform America. But you know, I don’t believe they will. Winter is coming.
