Being the first year of a new administration, there was no State of the Union Address this year. Instead, President Trump gave us a Presidential Address to the Nation. It should have been called an FAFO Address to the Nation. I won’t define FAFO on this family friendly site. You’ll just have to Google it if you’re curious. Let’s just say the President introduced the Dems to the concept of consequences.
President Trump characteristically bragged about his accomplishments – he is still the Donald after all. But he also pointed out the many failures of his predecessor – the guy the Dems assured us was the savior of democracy – though we’re actually a republic.
The Donald remined everyone
- Biden could have secured the border – but didn’t,
- The Dems could have cut waste – but waste was the point,
- Merrick Garland weaponized the DoJ – turning Americans against the deep state, and
- The anti-war party wants the Ukrainian carnage to continue – for which Liz Warren (D, Cherokee Nation) applauded.
President Trump also did something certain to give the Dems diaper rash. He showed America that he genuinely cares about the victims of the left’s disastrous policies. He introduced victims of their immigration policies, LGBTQ ideology, and the hatred they constantly spew.
Then Donald Trump ripped the masks from the Democrats. He informed America that nothing he could say or do would garner their approval. The implication was simple: Whatever the motivation of the Dems is, it’s not love of country.
The Democrats then proceeded to validate Trump’s claim. They showed all of America that none of the adults in the room were sitting with the pink ladies.
With President’s Trump’s first sentence, Rep Al Green (D, TX) started screaming like a madman and waving his cane at the President. Apparently, the Dems think nothing says “rational debate” like waving a stick at the opposition. Green had to be escorted from the room.
When President Trump listed the nonsense funded by USAID, the Dems held up silly ping pong paddles with “Musk Steals” written on them. If Elon is stealing, it’s from Mozambique circumcision recipients. Apparently, that’s supposed to bother us.
Throughout the remainder of the speech, the Dems showed us that the back side of their paddles had “False” printed on it. Do they really think we look to Adam Schiff’s fellow travelers for misinformation guidance? If so, they should be spanked with their signs.
Worst of all, the Dems refused to celebrate
- A young boy fighting brain cancer,
- A high school senior accepted into West Point, or
- The capture of the terrorist that killed 13 marines and 170 civilians at Abbey Gate.
Their behavior was a disgraceful display of anti-Americanism. Yet the Dems think they can convince us to trust them in the midterms to lead us to a brighter America? If that’s their strategy, they really need some new people to do their heavy thinking for them.
Their planning for the Presidential Address to the Nation seems to have missed the fact that President Trump is doing what Americans sent him to do. That’s why support for DOGE is at over 70 percent now – and we don’t care if he’s “stealing” it from the Lesotho LGBTQ+ community.
When the Dems protest what President Trump promised he would do, the party that claims to stand for democracy is actually standing athwart it. They only accept the will of the people, when the people want the same stuff the radicals want.
I’m sure their radical base loved every minute of their performance art. But, it’s not the base whose votes they need to attract in 2 years. They need the votes of the people who are cheering Trump today. Someone should tell them that’s how democracy works.
But I did find watching the expressions of the Democrats quite satisfying. “We impeached him twice” San Fran Nan – the gal that proudly tore up Trump’s last State of the Union speech on national TV – looked like she was about to spit out her dentures. If it wasn’t past Gropey Joe’s bedtime, I would have loved to have seen his response too. I wonder how many times he soiled his Depends Tuesday night screaming at the TV?
