Voting en Bloc

To Republican Senators and Congresspersons: You are NOT an Ohio/California/Texas…Senator/Congressperson, you are a United States Senator/Congressperson who happens to be from Ohio/California/Texas…. Our party leaders decide what’s best for America. As a party member, your duty, obligation and purpose is to vote for bills your party has determined are best for America. If this ‘best’ also benefits your state that’s an added benefit.

Individual state priorities and special interests, appeasement, compromise and ‘deals’ is what got us into the predicament of tariffs, military quagmire, disastrous foreign policy in the first place. Your re-election will depend on results – bills passed – not your egocentric opposition. Try to keep this in mind: If America doesn’t do well, neither will your district.

Of course, promotion of your state or special interests is not only welcome but expected of you … but not in contravention to the party’s goals. As we witness Democrats de facto voting en bloc, thus declaring the day of partisanship is over, we must stick together or we ain’t gonna get nothin’ done. The purpose/goal of having a majority – as we now have –  is to also vote en bloc for the goals set out by our party’s leaders.
