Education Priorities
Reports are emerging that college students are using AI to write term papers and required assignments. Are these future leaders demonstrating innovation by utilizing the latest technology to prepare them for the real world or just cheating? To counter this, some professors are allowing students to bring laptops/iPads to class for test taking, but those who do must be on the honor system that they won’t access the internet – yeah, right.
Other educators have taken to requiring assignments and test-takers to hand-write their coursework. However, school administrations are now discovering that students – from college seniors all the way back to grade school level – can’t write. Is the Teacher’s Union squandering the very limited number of hours available for teaching the 3Rs with the goal of supplanting the family/church with indoctrination of woke DEI, sex, religion, politics, computereeze?
Elementary school boards might best serve their communities by requiring all non-traditional instruction be offered as extracurricular credit, but only to those who pass traditional 3R teachings. Is penmanship (not pen-person-ship) the only basic that isn’t being taught in most grade school classes? If you don’t know what the 3Rs are, you might be part of the problem.
