A “Moat” Of Opaqueness Created By The LSMBTGA Supported Out Of The White House: None Shall Pass
I want to pause in the midst of all the fervor and “hub-bub” about the recent declassified documents-which is being covered by a lot of people in many forums, notwithstanding it is one of my favorite topics, and return to the Paul Simon part of the story.
America seemingly largely knew about and was “OK” with the veritable “Katie bar the door,” LSMBTGA obfuscation and hiding of Obama’s information from “raaaacist” questions about his life-upbringing, education, political career. But many seemed to get things straightened out very quickly, as evidenced by the devastating and crushing election results that would see a steady erosion and disruption of the sentiment tides that had swept Obama into power with total control of the government.
President Bush left office with some of the lowest ratings in our country’s history. It was not long before he was making a miraculous comeback in the polls, something that never really happened for President Carter.
Subsequent elections showed a nation-wide mood change cresting as a veritable wave causing a total shift of control of government-including the congress and down ballot state races. Even with the LSMBTGA in the tank.
We were fortunate from some standpoints in that he spent his political capital pursuing a universal scuttling of the heretofore health industry rather than more dogmatic and ideological socialist policy that had no chance of success as his presidency “wore on” when public sentiment hardened and power in the capital moved away from he and his party (nationwide.)
I touched upon in an earlier article how even seemingly harmless-cursory-looks at his background discovered numerous, various and sundry issues and curious facts that nobody-especially the LSMBTGA-seemed interested in pursuing, never mind resolving.
I won’t quote hindsight as a rationale for early skepticism, but when shortly after his tenure in office a picture of Obama and Louis Farrakhan was released-which had been hidden-kept from the public for the entirety of his presidential time, it was just another reminder of how the LSMBTGA writ large conspired to present somewhat of a bony middle finger to “us” with them acting as bona fide acolytes and sycophants.
The exposure to Obama did not get better for those looking to refine or pin down some of this information or his thoughts and positions on “schtuff.” A lot of somewhat tawdry information started to show up as the presidential run entered the “neck-down” phase with a lot of bath house, Farrakhan, and pseudonym allegations which likely traced to the HRC “dirty deeds done dirt cheap” team of Cody Shearer and Sidney “the snake” Blumenthal, which somewhat culminated in a huge dust-up as the campaign reached the Carolinas.
Obama made little to no effort reaching out to non-democrat voters as this was going to be a landslide for dems after all the hate campaigns conducted against Bush. Noteworthy among this lack of effort was a dem campaign plank that suspiciously removed the “rare” part of the democrat abortion position calling for safe, legal and rare, as well as the somewhat torturous and dogmatic filibustering on what had come to be known as the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA.)
His reputation as a glib, smooth-talking politician stood out in these moments which to many felt more like the incessant peddling of a used car salesman than an authentic communication from an aspiring president. Many found his meanderings inspirational, but I settled upon a characterization of naïve delivered with confidence that bordered on chutzpah. These two points (above) became somewhat 9 and 10 in the 18 ways referenced above.
Sure enough the public was soon being doused with what may still be the greatest and most extended propaganda and lies ever told by a politician-after President Clinton’s denials that were trumped by the Blue Dress-represented by Obama’s sincere words that he was going to take on Health Care with a plan that would fix all the ills that ailed the current system.
While guaranteeing that if you “like your doctor-you can keep your doctor, if you like your plan, you can keep your plan, and the new plan will save you $2500!”
Yowzer! If he said it once he said it a million times. Maybe the biggest, boldest lie ever uttered to the public. It could not possibly be true, as the government was negotiating behind the scenes to accommodate not only those with pre-existing conditions-forcing nickel and dime insurers that covered the bulk of us vice bundled risk group insurers-to take them on and spread those costs across the covered population. And also throwing a bone to the LGBTQA+MOUSE community where doctors had to agree to do things like pap smears and prostrate exams and mammograms on those who often lacked the actual body parts necessary to receive such treatment.
But if your plan or doctor did not offer such services-surprise-your plan could not be kept, nor your doctor! And OBTW, deductibles for things like childbirth were allowed to go through the roof, so childbearing patient costs increased on the order of 500-1000% out of pocket (from an average of maybe $600 to $3500-6500 based on what would become our family sample size of ~12 births.)
To sell the program to people like congress and the government and to entice folks like union workers, waivers and special supplements were being offered across the board in order to silence each class of critics in turn. In my own case my government coverage went up substantially-but the government picked up most of the cost for a number of years-and many of us did not notice since our out-of-pocket costs did not go up. I planned to rely on my VA medical in a pinch or when those costs were passed on to civil servants (talk about an optimist!)
You-we the public-faced somewhat of a binary choice here-it’s not complicated-Obama was either the very savvy and smart president that many declared him to be-who I guess simply didn’t understand all that “medical detail”-so he was an unwitting dupe. Or he knew about them and lied to us for years and years and years. With unconscionable policy dictates that disastrously broke the nation’s healthcare system and mostly damaged young growing families like my children.
It really is that cut and dry. I’ve talked to many who seem surprised to hear that the unaffordable care act was-well-unaffordable for many. We apparently had different lived experiences. Those in the government received supplements for a long time to buy their silence and many of us had the very definition of “Cadillac policies,” and as I stated-I had the VA medical benefit as a backup in a pinch. As an afterthought it was during Obama’s time that VA medical went into the crapper-not that it was the best thing going up to that time…
Of course, this was a politician who actually remarked on how his election will be looked back upon as the “time the ice stopped melting and the seas stopped rising.” We reached number 11 and haven’t really gotten started on the true angst points of his presidency.
The Fast and Furious scandal was next, where the Obama administration let weapons be illegally purchased in the US and then passed into the hands of Cartels in Mexico in a genius scheme to trace them and do something. Problem was the plan was a disaster, they lost track of the weapons immediately and they started being found at the scene of crimes and murders, including the killing of border agent Brian Terry.
Congress found out, the Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms and DOJ denied the base facts of the debacle. The Obama White House denied any knowledge of such an action. Congress held AG Holder in contempt over a lack of cooperation-a first-and President Obama-who up to this point maintained he knew nothing about it-invoked executive privilege over the documents and that was the end of the matter.
The Office of Management and Budget hack by the Chinese-after the administration ignored years of IG security warnings- was a huge, big deal that compromised some over 20-40 million federal workers personal information, as well as all those half dozen or more relatives and friends referenced on our SF398 security clearance applications over the years-in my case some three decades worth.
The Internal Revenue Service blatantly going after political groups-conservatives-like the emerging Tea Party-was scummy and distasteful.
The lack of insight-foresight-any sight on the Arab Spring was at the very least disconcerting. The failure to support Egypt’s Mubarak was somewhat shocking, leading to Muslim Brotherhood rule (who the administration described as a “largely secular and administrative influence”) and eventually a takeover by the military. Many in the government revisited anew the notion that Joe Biden had been added to the team for his foreign policy expertise.
About as many who would later point to Robert Gates admonition that “Biden had been wrong about every foreign policy issue for four decades.” (I should point out this article repeats the often-used nonsense canard of Biden being stuck with a bad policy in Afghanistan that he inherited from Trump, as if Trump had finalized anything and Presidents aren’t free to make up the rules they want…)
Obama deciding that Libya’s Qaddafi must go-step down-was a shock considering that-much like the pilloried Bush operation in Iraq and Colin Powell’s warning-there was no viable government to take his place: we broke it anyway and nobody owns it. The US led from behind on this effort providing intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) support to largely British and French forces until helping in the final chase that resulted in his capture, bayonet “violation” and death. It’s been a baker’s dozen disaster since with no end in sight.
The Benghazi disaster with the death of a US Ambassador (Stevens and security staff) on the run-up to the 2012 elections was an unmitigated disaster, greatly exacerbated by the lies and false messaging of the White House and Obama administration that specifically cost Susan Rice her chance to follow in her mentor’s footprints (Madeline Albright) leading the State Department: so there was that…
The Color Revolution Obama undertook against Putin ally Yanukovych in Ukraine from late 2013-2014-after the US State Dept had certified his election as free and fair-or words to that effect-was at the very least distasteful, at worst moronic, as Putin grabbed Crimea as a consolation prize and then spread mayhem in the form of little green men along the Eastern border of Ukraine. Eventually seeding collusion in the Donbas Region to faux unite Russian dominated population centers to justify gulping down Ukraine territory when they called for “help.”
Notice I haven’t added any more numbers yet-not that you couldn’t. Two really disturbing, trust unwinding actions took place in this timeframe that absolutely cooked it for me. Number one was the long rumored about behind the scenes Iranian dialogue where Obama’s storyteller guy-Ben Rhodes-had been plying the LSMBTGA with propaganda and lies about moderate Iranians while the administration was kissy-footing around with the “death to America and Israel” crowd. We discovered at some point in 2014 or so that the dialogue started at least as early as 2012, or maybe even 2011: before the election.
The dialogue occurring during a time that our military, civilians and Iraq civilians were dying at the hands of increasingly sophisticated and lethal Iran supplied Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs). Quds Force and Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Commander Qasem Soleimani achieved numerous improvements throughout this timeframe, encrypted code trip generators, replacing metal-detectable components with carbon fiber, miniaturizing shape penetrators, etc.
The US government apparently failed to condition any of the talks to US personnel safety. Worse-the US aggressively punished any and all who spoke out against the emerging deal-including political opponents, our only friend in the Middle East-Israel-while stopping investigations into Iranian sponsored terrorist activity by Hezbollah operatives-including drug running, car auto theft rings and human trafficking-in the US and South America (Project Cassandra: History.)
All in the furtherance of a WMD/nuclear vanity project Obama pursued in seeming defiance to the 88% of the US population who wanted nothing to do with an Iran nuclear dialogue or deal. Only 87% percent of the US population dislikes cockroaches… Again-with no apparent thought or concern to conditioning the stop of attacks against American military on the table.
I think the above is the worst action of this period. Unless you consider that Obama was in the midst of a plan to declare “victory” and withdraw US troops when the Iraqis were giving us static about the Status Of Forces Agreement because of Abu Ghraib. Which-coupled with tension with the Obama administration over military deployments intended to marginalize Iran in the Gulf-led to the firing of US Central Command Commander Gen Mattis-who was of the “we don’t need no stink’n SOFA” mindset. Resulting in the elevation of stooge GEN Lloyd (Dolittle) Austin and in short order-the revival of the Islamic Caliphate ambitions across the region, an issue that would not be rectified until Trump took over. Somewhat precious in this egg-headed article (above) is the touting of the patently absurd un-American concept of “leading from behind…”
I was in the government watching this buildup while we contributed to the reporting of Islamic/ISIS gains that took over many oil production fields across a wide expanse of Syria and Iraq: growing increasingly frustrated that we didn’t take action to stop the frequent headlines of these maniacs decapitating, burning alive and murdering entire segments of the territories they swallowed. The US government-Obama-Austin-did nothing about it, reportedly because of environmental concerns that attacks on Petro-chemical operations that were funding their “romp” would cause “problems.”
None of the murdered-burned alive, decapitated, abducted population-could be reached for comment on environmental concerns. All the while this craziness played out on TV like some reprise of Vietnam highlights, with non-stop violence broadcast by these maniacs waging terror on the population.
We revisited our earlier and ongoing assessment efforts on the status of the Mosel Dam-among others-monitoring the limestone decay, the failure of which would result in the killing of millions downstream.
In short order there was a huge scandal out of CENTCOM on how analysts were reporting on the emerging ISIS threat and the reestablishment of the Islamic Caliphate, with allegations that seniors at the command were cooking the books to tone down the assessments in deference to Obama’s policy desires. The IG found some issues but no specific faults or blame. Interesting how the charge of underestimating the emerging ISIS threat was somewhat poo-pooed in the midst of the re-emergence of the ISIS Caliphate: some JV squad.
There was the relatively unheralded battle of Kobani (Kobane) where the Peshmerga/Kurds sought to contain ISIS’ pillaging, marauding, rampaging and killing of Kurds and Christians across Syria. I’ve written before how the US was barely involved with this effort for months, with a small team from our Research unit providing ISR (largely Ground Moving Target Information derived order of battle tracking and counts) in support of US Special Operations Forces working targeting on the ground (weapons-target pairing.)
US air support finally arrived in September 2014 but strife with Turkey for support to the Kurds resulted in a slow roll of the effort that extended on into 2015 where US close air support proved decisive. I’ve written before about briefing our agency head on our efforts and after several months of updates and Turkey finally weighing-in on concerns about their border he asked, “Who knows we are doing this???” Which was a good question….about 3 months late….
So that seems like a lot of baggage and incidents. But even with all the above ongoing, the congress and White House scheme to condition budget agreements on a ramification called “Sequestration” was somewhat of the final straw for me.
This is well described in DNI Clapper’s book, as the dubious plan that was hatched was that if some type of budget agreement or accommodation was not reached by our government, “penalties” would kick-in that would result in-among other things like top line limits-civil servants “losing” one pay day per pay period for ten pay periods under a “furlough” plan.
That’s 10% of pay over a 10 day pay period encompassing nearly half a year (so 10 of 26 pay periods in a 52-week year, over 800 total hours of an ~2080-hour work year, with 80 hours in a two-week pay period.)
