I like Donald Trump. Still do. He’s bold, confident, and tougher than a two-dollar steak in a D.C. cafeteria. He speaks his mind, shakes the right cages, and refuses to bow to the mob — and for that, I’ll always respect him.
But I’ll confess something: for a while, I wasn’t just a supporter. I was a believer. Somewhere between “Make America Great Again” and the media losing their minds every 15 minutes, I crossed a line. I started defending him like he was beyond fault — like somehow, one man could carry the soul of an entire nation.
That’s where it gets dangerous. Admiration becomes worship, and worship blinds you. You start excusing the ego, overlooking the mistakes, and cheering louder when you should be thinking harder. It’s a subtle shift — you don’t even notice it until you realize you’re following a man instead of the mission.
I still think Trump’s a good leader. But he’s not the Messiah of America. And if the unthinkable ever happened — if someone actually assassinated him — this country would explode. It wouldn’t just be outrage; it’d be vengeance from people who’ve built their identity around him. That’s not patriotism. That’s a cult.
The truth is, Trump didn’t create the madness — he exposed it. He’s the mirror, not the monster. He showed us how easily we trade conviction for charisma, how quickly we forget that no politician, no matter how right he sounds, can save what only God can redeem.
So yeah, I still like Trump. I’ll still vote my conscience. But I won’t worship any man again. Because when a nation looks to one mortal for salvation, it’s already lost the plot.
