In 2007 I wrote the melting pot of American immigration couldn’t handle a glacier. In 2026, my op ed looks like prophesy. It wasn’t. It was simple deduction based on demographics and a passing knowledge of human history.
If you put a pot, even a big one, under a glacier and built a fire to melt the glacier – what happens? The pot gets crushed. Over time, a couple thousand feet of ice crushes any pot of any size made of any material. Puts out any flame. Destroys anything in its path and carves out a new place. It changes the landscape – even if it’s mountains. A glacier made a mountain the famous “Half-dome” of Yosemite.
The illegal alien invasion of the United States is so huge it’s like a glacier to our idea of a melting pot. This glacier will demolish our melting pot and snuff out our flame of liberty and opportunity.
The overwhelming majority of Americans love our melting pot. Most Americans admire and support the legal immigrants who come to the U.S. with nothing and make something, a future, for their children as Americans.
The growing number of Bolshevik Americans want our country to stop being the America they hate so much. They want to appease their white guilt and bow and scrape to other’s scorn. They need to destroy the engine of capitalism and bastion of Judeo-Christian Western Civilization.
Any kind of amnesty for illegal aliens is the fastest, surest way to gain Democrat Party dominance for decades and fulfill every fantasy of the Cultural Marxists – until they actually turn out horribly wrong.
Unlike a glacier, the illegal alien invasion isn’t an unstoppable force of nature. Enforcing existing laws and manning the border stopped the invasion promptly in 2025. Finishing the wall will work even better. The overwhelming majority of Americans want that policy – to follow the laws as they are, keep the borders as they are – to stay.
Furthermore, the elite elected officials, Republican and Democrat, who dismiss their critics as bigots, racists, Christian Nationalists, anti-Mexican/Hispanic, or Islamophobes are ignorant of how assimilation works or are twisted cynics.
That the pro-Illegal Alien Invasion people don’t understand basic economics and fiscal policy is self-evident because they foolishly prop up Social Security and Medicare. They’re setting up our own fall.
Conservatives must look for candidates to replace every Senator and Congressman who funded the illegal alien invasion. All of them. Both Parties.
As it was in 1924, it’s time to assimilate the immigrants and totally control who else immigrates. Consider the ‘Mexicans’ and the ‘Muslims’ as metaphors for the size of a glacier and how hard it is to melt it.
The Mexican problem is the sheer size of uneducated, non-English speaking persons with a cultural concept of subservience to oligarchy and tyranny. “Mexican” is also code for never-ending numbers of millions desperate to get a better life. The issue is how many can fit in America. We’ll never know until we stop the invasion, however humane their reasons for invading, and assimilate those here – like millions of Hispanics before them. That takes time.
The Muslim problem is the direct threat from those who will not compromise their religion, Islam, to live under secular law instead of the Sharia. How long will Muslims agree not to live fully to their faith and will all Muslims do so?
The Muslim terrorist threat is the naturally occurring population of Jihadists in every generation who follow the Koran and Hadith. They want our enemies to triumph.
Even if only one in twenty American Muslims support Terrorists as polls suggest, that means 5,000 domestic enemies in every 100,000 Muslim Americans. Muslim immigration must be slowed to a tiny trickle of thoroughly screened, highly sought immigrants.
Preserve the melting pot. Only so much ice can be melted at a time. It takes time to become American. American culture can only assimilate so many people at a time. The American economy and welfare state can afford only a strictly-limited trickle of invited immigrants.
