The below-linked article notes that Supreme Court dealt them a heavy blow, to wit, the Court declined to reinstate a Biden-era immigration regulation that allowed immigration judges to temporarily suspend certain deportation proceedings through a process known as “administrative closure,” leaving in place a lower-court judgment that had invalidated the rule. The case arose after Texas challenged the regulation, arguing that immigration judges are required by federal law to decide whether individuals are removable rather than indefinitely pause proceedings.
