A couple weeks back, a friend posted this cartoon from the Washington Puke on her Facebook page. A couple is evacuating to Europe because they are from Texas and “have a trans kid.” And the “kid” is rather small, looking less than ten years old. Naturally my BS meter went off the scale, but it made a point.
Presumably this was in response to Texas passing Senate Bill 1646, a law restricting “gender reaffirming” procedures on children, such as puberty blockers, cross sex hormones injections, and sex change surgery. So we are clear, by this Texas law, a “child” someone under the age of 18. So yes, a significant portion of the left in this county wants to allow children to decide to change their sex.
In my dealing with transsexuals, for the most part they are law abiding citizens (Not counting the prostitutes brought in by vice). And I’ll be the first to say, you want to change your sex, be my guest. Do it on your own time, and your own dime. As a retired army officer, I will say you have no business in the armed forces, and the Defense Department has no business paying for this procedure. The DoD exist to field armed forces to win our wars, not to fund elective surgery.
Back to the children deciding they were born with the wrong sex, I find it curious, or should I say, typical, that liberals want to allow children to make a permanent, life changing decision like that, often times before puberty has started (See the cartoon again). Depending on how far this procedure goes, there is no returning.
To be clear, sex transition is on a scale. There are people who identify and wear the clothing of the opposite sex (See the athlete and celebrity formerly known as Bruce Jenner), but go no further. Some go beyond that, taking hormone replacement therapy, or some surgery, e.g. removal of the breast on a female transitioning to male, or breast augmentation on a male to transitioning female, but no surgery on the genitalia. Full transition will include penile inversion vaginoplasty (creation of a vagina by inverting penile skin), or metoidioplasty (surgery that causes your clitoris to work more like a penis, along with hormone treatment to make your clitoris grow larger).
Now what does the Texas law do. From the text, it prohibits:
…(xiv) administering or supplying, or consenting to or assisting in the administration or supply of, a puberty suppression prescription drug or cross-sex hormone to a child, other than an intersex child, for the purpose of gender transitioning or gender reassignment; or
(xv) performing or consenting to the performance of surgery or another medical procedure on a child, other than an intersex child, for the purpose of gender transitioning or gender reassignment; and
(B) does not include an act described by Subparagraph (xiv) if the act is the dispensing or delivery of a drug in accordance with Subtitle J, Title 3, Occupations Code, by a person licensed under that subtitle.
(3-a) “Intersex child” means a child who is younger than 18 years of age and either:
(A) has inborn chromosomal, gonadal, genital, or endocrine characteristics, or a combination of those characteristics, that are not suited to the typical definition of male or female or are atypical for the determined sex of the child; or
(B) is considered by a medical professional to have inborn chromosomal, gonadal, genital, or endocrine characteristics that are ambiguous or atypical for the determined sex of the child…
Again, intersex means the baby is born with genital’s that make it unsure of the sex, approximately .13% of births.
But with sex change, we are not talking a debridement, such as removal of an infected appendix, or getting a wart burned off. We are talking mutilation, i.e., the removal of heathy tissue from the body. And many leftists say this is a decision that can be made by a child. These are many of the same leftists who will not allow a school nurse to administer ibuprofen to a teenager without a doctor’s note.
Exaggeration, no. For years at the beginning of the school year I had to get a letter from my daughter’s MD authorizing her to take ibuprofen. Then I had to bring an unopened sealed bottle and the MD letter to the nurse (Only parents, she could not bring it herself), and the RN would handle distribution. Getting her into a methadone clinic would be less aggravation.
Now the left already believes a child can decide to terminate her pregnancy, even without the knowledge or consent of the parents in many states. But if a 14-year-old is mature enough to make those decisions, what else can they decide, or not decide:
- Drive an automobile. Most states allow it at 16, but if you are mature enough to change your sex, aren’t you mature enough to handle an automobile?
- Alcohol. For most of my life, it was 18 to purchase or consume alcoholic beverages. Thanks to MADD and other movements, the age has been raised to 21 in every state. If you “control your body” and can make decisions about major surgery, isn’t it logical to say they can “control their body” when it comes to drinking?
- Tobacco. Most of my life, buying a pack of cigarettes was not even regulated. Cigarettes were sold openly everywhere, and unmonitored machines dispensed them like candy or drinks. There is no question use of tobacco is harmful, but the question is, are young men and women under 18 mature enough to make that decision for themselves? If we follow leftist “logic” of course they are. Well, that would require leftist to be logically consistent, which they are not.
- Sign contracts: If a child can make decisions on major medical issues, they should be able to decide if they want to take out a loan or obtain a credit card.
The point of this? The left is hard at work doing one thing after another to destroy childhood, and children. The propaganda on “climate change,” CRT, and LGBTQ (?) issues pushed in our school and culture are a disaster. Thankfully there is some push back coming, and the ex-governor of Virginia can see what happens when you threaten people’s kids like he did. Hopefully this movement continues on. It took generations for the left to inflict this damage on us. It will take generations for us to reverse their destruction.

Oh, the age of majority has to go, if the marxists are to finally achieve their goals. It’s the basic ideas about what is up or down that the marxists tamper with, to undermine freedom and democracy. Marxists have to tamper with the basics of a thriving society in order to tear it down to make room for their utopia.
Consider that a physician is charged with the idea of “First, do no harm”, and the next thing he is faced with is the idea of doing that very harm, and to a child. Breaking down the Hippocratic Oath has been ongoing since the late 50s or early 60s, where some of the most egregious crimes against youth started, and those studies all showed that the damage was irreversible. Suicide rates between children who were surgically tampered with remained as high as those who were treated by the psychiatrist, alone. But, it was, and still is considered as a medical treatment and possible cure to an incurable condition.
Marxism apparently sees the need to attack the child as one of their primary means to alter society, in order to increase their odds of success.
The more the youth are altered, mentally and physically, the less work is needed in the future. Add that to the breakdown of the nuclear family and there is not much left that is considered as hard work left for the marxist.
That means the schools had to be used as a tool to work on their young minds. Vicious attack on humanity, at the most basic level.
